Scarlet moved behind Lucian to properly put on and tie his blindfold, all the while being as careful as possible to not get any dirt in his eyes or to accidentally put it on inside out. "Tell me if I tie it too tight." After that, she finished within a matter of mere moments.

Once she was done, Lucian searched for her hand and stood up. "So how long do you think it'll be until anyone figures out who I am?" he said with a small nervous chuckle.

"That depends entirely on how good we can keep the act going and/or how gullible your family and servants can be." Scarlet replied, honestly not entirely sure of how things would go from here on out. "If they catch on, I can just help you sneak out again." Or, they could run away from the village entirely. But Scarlet loved her cabin, and part of her was unsure how Lucian would take to such a lifestyle.

"Worse comes to worse, I leave the country entirely. No rolling hills of the country or quaint and bustling towns for me to see, but at least I could finally get rid of the leash." Lucian waited patiently for Scarlet to lead the way into town, trying not to squeeze her hand too tightly out of habit.

"Even if worst came to worst, I'll be with you every step of the way." Scarlet, gripping Lucian's hand gently but firmly, began to lead him out the door. Before leaving, she stopped entirely. "What was it you said you wanted to do today? I can't recall."

"Getting shopping done, remember? Get me some proper blind man's glasses and a cane, unless you want to guide me by the hand every time we leave the house." Lucian said with a smile while briefly lifting his and Scarlet's hands.

Scarlet gave a small embarassed giggle at having forgotten as she went on to grab her coin purse and her gun - hilding each carefully with her free hand onto her custom made belt. After that she lead Lucian, er...Cyrus out of her cabin to head to the village market. (First shutting and locking the door behind them, of course.)

((Hun, it's Cronus and it's awesome art; I started following askcr0nus a LONG a** time ago. So yes, I've seen the valentines cards. XD ))
Lucian seemed to hold a rather giddy smile on his face as they walked. He may have been forced to miss out on the sights of the town, but the sounds and smells were still there. A thousand times more thrilling than his quiet, sterile mansion.

{Oh. XD I was mostly interested in sharing Dualscar's response below it; both are amazing askblogs I swear.}
Scarlet would sometimes be greeted by local villagers, only to have her greet them back just as warmly in return. Some small conversations were had, but never anything too interesting or long. She did her best to get to the glasses shop as quickly as possible, but knowing everyone in the village made that a little difficult.

"That should make things quite a bit easier for us." Scarlet found herself grinning as she lead them both along and into the glasses shop. From there, buying 'Cyrus' a decent pair of glasses to replace his blindfold wouldn't be too difficult.

((So since there are apparently items involved in this event and I'm a dork that likes to try to get 'em all (within reason; here it's just send 100 valentines and get all the different candy hearts from valentines) wanna use each other as valentine whores to collect all the different hearts? xD We can make it a competition to see who can make the Homestuck-iest valentine 0w0))

Will probably replace every word with bone bulge or tenabulge like the five year old I really am.
"We'll find out soon enough. They most likely discovered your absense by now, and you know how overprotective they got." Scarlet pointed out before going on to talk with the glasses merchant. After a few minutes of haggling between them both she managed to get a pair of blindsmens' glasses that would fit Lucian well enough. (Or so she hoped) Once the purchase was made she took the glasses and began to lead Lucian right back out, planning on leading him to a dark alleyway so that he could try on his new glasses first and foremost.

Letting go of Scarlet's hand, Lucian groped around the air for the glasses. Sure enough most of the conversations he picked up here and there were about his diappearance.

Scarlet wondered exactly how things would go from here on out as she waited for Lucian to get his glasses on, or to at least ask for help doing so. She could only hope she wouldn't be immediately suspected and arrested or something on suspicion alone.
