[ The Bedroom ]
After checking to make sure she hadn't damaged the lockpick when she jerked it out of the lock Camilla flipped it around so it was facing upwards then incerted it into the lock again
And again nothing happened which causes the Dormouse ghoul to pout a bit she was about to pull the lockpick out again when she heard a subtle click sound instantly she stopped and perked her ears forwards curiously "Hm?" after tilting her head to the side she moves the lockpick around a bit and heard more clicks! But some were different sounding then the first...
The lock and the lockpick now had her full attention she took a breath then pushed down her excitement and hyperness so she could focus better it became clear to her that as simple as the lockpick looked the act of picking locks wasn't so simple quickly it she figured out the clicking sounds she'd heard were important and now she just had to figure out which sounds were good and which weren't
And so with that thought the Dormouse Monster ghoul went to work moving the lockpick this way and that all while being perched precariously on the windowsill she soon learned to tell the difference between the two clicks one sounded like something being push up into place while the other sounded like something suddenly being released and from the small vibration on her lockpick she figured that wasn't good finally after taking much longer then the dragon ghoul Camilla heard a different sort of click a satisfying sort of click as the lock came loose "Yay! I did it! Ooop!" she cheers joyfully only to cover her mouth a second later as she remember she was supposed to be sneaking in
With the lock on the window now open Camilla looks around before quietly opening the window then sliding in and looking around the bedroom seemed to have a almost victorian feel to it which made her feel at ease unfortunately the moment the window shut she heard a familiar click and knew it had locked itself it was only then she remember she had just rushed on and might not have told her companions where she was going... frowning for a moment she sighs then shrugs and smiles hopefully if they didn't go the way she did they'd meet up someplace else and in the mean time she might as well explore right?
With that after giving a small cheerful wave to the dragon ghoul sitting on the bed she lets her natural curiosity take over and begins exploring the room it was a nice room she had to admit and it wasn't even dusty! Which surprised her a bit finally she got to the doors she tried the first she even tried her lockpick but nothing happened not even any clicks... she would have tried the next "door" or rather hatch but it smelled faintly of gunpowder which concerned her concern which only grew as she went up to the last door this door was cooler then the other doors and a sudden knot of worry form in her stomach... memories of the ice bucket challenge came to the fore and she was really hoping there wasn't alot of cold behind that door...

Pokerus could hear the sound of another student trying to get in, watching the dormouse's attempts with interest. Once she finally got inside she smiled, trying not to laugh at her cheer of joy at opening the lock.
"Congrats on getting in" Pokerus said to her. When the doormouse waved she returned it and then sat back while the other explored the various doors that most likely led to other areas of the house. She hadn't tried any herself but judging from the dormouse's reactions, it appeared one door could not be opened, and the others shouldn't be.
"I wonder if the room will explode if we open the hatch door..." She hummed out loud, not looked concerned at the idea of them being blasted out the window
Leave it to the dormouse to go to the top entrance, not that it was an issue. Though banshee usually drift she could float for a time but that was not her way. Parkour was the answer here. Keen grinned and took a running start climbing partof the wall of the mannor before using her arms to pull herself up, then squatting on the ledge she went to work.
Lockpicks? Hmm, generally she would just kind of go through the doors but this was the point of the class and cheating is not fair. That in mind she inserted the pick.
Ahh not too bad, maybe she would keep this, that was easy. Nodding her head she entered.
[The Bedroom]
Hah! So easy so far, but she knew that wouldn't last. Nothing stayed that simple. She glanced around the room taking in the Victorian feel. Lovely, huh? The window was closed again, that was odd. She shrugged a bit before waving at the other occupants the dormouse whose name was something pretty starting with Cam was already here and someone she had not yet met.
Maybe the others would be coming soon too. Still she figured a trial faced as a group was better than one faced alone, she would follow the dormouse.

So the group was going somewhere off campus to a manor of some sort to break into locks. As odd as that sounded, it could be a helpful skill to have in some sense. Uru should question morally why he was doing this, but he was out, he was being... "social". The class had a duration of three hours. Pulling out his eyePhone, he noted the time and hummed to himself, he'd be back before his roommate crashed so there wouldn't be a problem there. Taking the first two items, he waited with the rest of the group.
One shouldn't too surprised that the boil was able to get up into the second story window. In fact, he has done it many times before, especially if it was to avoid his mother. The ability to pick his way into the window was luck really, hardly any skill involved as he finaggled his way inside. He definitely wasn't the first one inside either. Fixing his jacket, he pocketed his hands and stood tall towards the others, taking in the room itself for what it was.
One door sealed shut.
One door that smelled like gunpowder - a trap.
One door that was cool to the touch.
Definitely knew which door he would be attempting.
Aisha took her headphones back (politely) when the teacher started again and led them through the portal. She listened carefully and then watched as a lot of the students filtered away to some of the same locations. The other ghouls she was with hadn't yet moved but.. well the front door was unoccupied.
"I'm trying the door.." She mentioned to Hollandaise and Dez, crouching at the lock and trying to jimmy it. Surprisingly, it worked for her and she slipped into the pitch black hallway. She breathed, whisps of orange issuing from her lips but they hardly helped light anything up but her own face.
Zar had a look at the objects that were available, and given his lack of possessions in general, decided to take the ones that might well be useful to him after the class itself. This meant he of course gravitated towards the de-slimer, he had to deal with slime on a very daily basis and sometimes you just couldn't get it out of clothing without a little help. The bug repellant was an afterthought, given that the horsemen were around so often these days and often brought their pets along.
Also his father's hive was exclusively bugs. So, so many of them.
Yes, bug repellant would do just fine.

For lack of a better idea, Hollandaise shrugged and followed Aisha to the front door. A straightforward approach seemed like a good idea, anyway. Or so she supposed. Warders didn't typically break and enter, simply using their stealth to hide within the shadows of larger trees. It was a ...gentler kind of skill, she thought. She was a bit surprised that the door promptly relocked itself after Aisha. Humming, she tucked her hair behind one ear and stared at the lock, wiggling it here and there. With a soft, sighing kind of click, it gave way and she stepped inside.
She turned and watched as the door snicked quickly shut behind her, cutting off both Deszeld and the outside light. "Deszeld- ah..." Making a face, she looked into the hallway. Aisha's glowing breath cast her weathered face with an orange glow - curious. Without thinking, Hollandaise's thin fingers reached out in an idle attempt to catch it. She sheepishly ducked her head, letting her hair curtain her face briefly. And really, it wasn't any darker when her eyes were covered by hair. "Ah, sorry."
Glancing around, her fingers reached out again, this time ghosting over the corrked frames of doors that weren't quite the right shape. They were everywhere across every space. Not for the first time, she wished that dead wood still spoke. "Aisha, what are we supposed to do, do you think? There is something strange about these doors."
Zar rather predictably decided that the best way to break and enter into a place was via the bedroom. His very instincts said this was The Right Way to do Things.
Oh this was interesting. What was this? Carlos liked the pick lock. He wanted to keep it. but they were to go inside and do what he didn't know. But Carlos just nodded.
Looking around he spotted Camilla going up into an upper room. Carlos would follow. he causally, and easily climbed right on up and easily picked the lock, almost as if the whole scenario were second nature to him. (Or maybe it was that his siblings had locked him out of his home more than once.)
He climbed right into that bed room following the dor mouse. He floated behind her for a moment and then went to investigate the odd scent, like gunpowder. He went to investigate tail in the air.

Slithering deftly into the room, wings tightly tucked, Zar felt like he was taking part in some action which for whatever reason came instinctually easily to him. The bedroom was dark, as it should be, and he crouched low to the ground, flicking his tongue and testing the air. Everything about him spelled out predator as he moved to eye the hatch in the floor with the strange smell - or taste as his senses were wired to interpret it.
Aisha's face glowed like some sort of ethereal jack-o-lantern. In fact every orifice seemed to glow with orange energy, even the thin flesh of her ears had a faint glow under her sallow flesh. The white skull paint illuminated more than the rest of her and gave a very eerie image.
"Oh sorry.." When Hollandaise reached for the orange energy. "It's my loa.. it's inside me. It's a healing spirit." Aish smiled, and clarified, orange illuminating behind even her teeth.
When Deszeld joined them she blinked and nodded. "Well it's definitely super dark and..." Her hands felt along the doors that lined every inch of the wall. "I would assume we're supposed to pick these locks too but.." She felt around. "I don't wanna crawl around looking for keyholes. Wanna go to the end and see if leads anywhere?"
Xavier stepped on through the portal and taking a lockpick in the process, then took a moment to look over the big house that was there before them. Oh, this should be fun. With a grin, he went up to the front door. He pocked around the lock for a bit, managing to get it open. Sweet.
Grinning, he waltzed right in. Well that wasn't too hard. And then the door slammed right behind him.
"Woah. That's a lot of doors.." he murmured while stepping in and looking around at his surroundings.
Oh, there were the lockpicks. Excellent. Shun grunted lowly in acknowledgement as he took it. Once through the portal, he tilted his head while examining the house. There was only a small sense of curiosity of what was inside. Right now, he just had the task of getting in. He took a few moments to walk around the perimeter. Four entrances, it looked like.
After a bit of thought, he went ahead and scaled up to the second floor with relative ease. Once up there, he crouched down and tested the window. Locked, as expected. Finding a keyhole, he began to work at it, carefully setting the pins in place before getting it open.
The one eyed reaper crawled on through, then looked around. A handful of other people were inside this fairly ordinary looking, if not old, bedroom. He made his way over by the wall to get out of the way of the others.
