xxxxx ► Over all, Tecciztecatl is a very distant stallion. He is quiet, and doesn't like to press himself into others business. Instead, he prefers to allow them to do what they want, when they want, and have nothing to do with it. He is quite a fun person to talk to, if you can get him to talk. Due to his nature of listening rather than talking, he has absorbed a lot of information in his life time, and also a lot of stories. That being said he's very good at giving knowledge and points of views on things, without seeming biased ( since he is so neutral ). He doesn't show much emotion, and instead will portray how he feels by actions. If he stays, he is more than willing to become a friend of yours, if not even a companion. If he leaves, he has no interest, and probably won't unless you can become more interesting to him.
xxxxx ► Despite not liking to socialize, Tecciztecatl is a very lonely stallion. His only friend is the small shadow snake ( his tattoo ) that occasionally comes out of hiding to talk to him. He has named it Quetzalli; and though he is a good companion at times, Tec still finds that he feels as though he needs more. He has his family, of course; though he even distances himself from them. Occasionally he will find the rare spirit he clicks with, but after a chance meeting outside the herdlands, he never sees them again. He believes that Quetzalli is his only friend.
xxxxx ► Tec is extremely smart. He was known to spend countless hours with his great grandfather ( Cuauhcoatl ) learning different things. He would help his grandfather do much, though at times be drawn away. He catches onto things quickly, and finds that learning for him comes naturally; be it because he is such a great listener or he has no distractions. He likes to come up with different ideas that others don't seem to think of, finding a claiming on them to be rather satisfactory.

xxxxx ► Only he can hear what the tattoo says, and it makes Tecc cringe half the time.
xxxxx ► When it comes to being around others, he can get rather skittish and shy back.

xxxxx ► The middle of the three boys, it was uncertain what would happen to the basket. After all, it was uncertain what would happen to any of them. The three were taken well care of by the entire herd, and it was known that they would be emerging rather quickly from the confines of their baskets. The middle son was the first to break free; using his long horn to slash the wicker to bits in order to escape the prison he had been placed in.
xxxxx ► As a small foal, Tecciztecatl was a rather happy creature. He found the world to be exciting, and wanted to learn everything about it. There were times he would go to his grandfather to hear what he would say, and others he would just go off by himself and explore the area. It was rare for him to leave the herd, but there were still times he did so due to an unexplained voice in his head telling him to. He enjoyed it, for the most part, and found that every time he went he had a new adventure at hand.
xxxxx ► He was cocky and enjoying life. Then, one day, his tattoo on his leg shifted. It startled the little colt, and he wasn't sure what to do. It spoke to him, informing him that life would change soon, that he had no reason to be so happy and excited. It would eventually become boring and nothing more than a world to live in. After several months of listening to the tattoo speak, and naming it Quetzalli, Tecciztecatl found himself feeling more and more alone. He recessed and pulled away from his family, leaving himself alone with the tattoo and his own quiet thoughts of the world.
xxxxx ► Now fully grown, Tecciztecatl isn't sure what to do with himself. He generally wanders the herd, listening to people and telling stories of his own. He enjoys being around foals, liking to see the wander in their eyes when he tells them something amazing. Though he feels as though he is still alone, and talks to Quetzalli almost on a regular basis, he still knows he has his family and herd by his side. Occasionally he ventures out into the wilds of the lands, but he always returns home at some point or another. What lies in store for him is unknown.

xxxxx ► Ever vigilant, Xolotl is a very determined girl by nature. She doesn't like to think that anyone could ever prevent her from doing something she truly wanted to do. Though her seriousness sometimes makes her seem somewhat stand-offish, she is a rather approachable female. She enjoys listening to stories, mostly those from travelers that she has found on her own journeys. This is something that, even before she became what she is today, she has always enjoyed to do. She can be nice when she feels like it; which is often. But make her mad... She is very good at holding a grudge, and she has been known to hold them for years before even considering allowing the other person to approach her. Over all, she's wise and fun to talk to ( especially if you have a story to tell ), she's gentle and kind, unless you anger her to the point of a grudge ( which is honestly very hard to do ).
xxxxx ► Xolotl has an interesting mindset. She is very smart, and in that, can see things as they come. Generally, she will analyze the situation before her, and gradually alter it, predicting the different outcomes it could take. Using this knowledge, she tries to shift the conversation or series of events so that they go in the way she wishes them to go; a peaceful way. At times it doesn't work, as there is always a key factor she cannot alter; the other person. But Xolotl does what she can when she can. If she sees a bolder that looks like it could easily tumble down and possibly harm someone, she will figure out a way to ensure it will not move any time soon. She doesn't like the prospect of people being hurt, and that makes her do more than she had ever done before she was in these lands.
xxxxx ► When angry, Xolotl seems like a whole different person. She is rather aggressive, and snappy. It is almost as if she has shifted into a form that no one should ever see. She will throw low blows, and even attack if she has to. Though it isn't hard to calm her down either. As angry as she can be, she never is intentionally mean; it is purely by slip of the tongue that she actually harm someone. And as soon as her temper cools, she apologizes as many times as she can or until she is forgiven. But if she is completely angry, she tends to hold a grudge, and it could take some time to work back onto her good side.
xxxxx ► Xolotl ( though she hasn't found them yet ) is an amazing sister. She will do whatever it takes to ensure her brothers succeed. It was told that before they came to the lands, she would often inform them of different circumstances that could get them new books, so long as they followed the right path. Now that she is here, the same will apply; though in a different manner. She will go out of her way to ensure events go as they should so that they can learn and teach the way they should be.

xxxxx ► Always there to prevent the darkness from seeping into people's hearts, Xolotl is an strong mare. Her goal is to never allow anyone that comes within her gaze to do something that they will later regret. The darkness that tends to grow within people's hearts worries her to no end, so what better way to aid those people than to prevent them from doing what could potentially hurt them? Having the knowledge of the world on her shoulders, Xolotl is a very smart female. But with that knowledge, she has also seen many people do bad things. Murder, deceit, pain. She grew to want to help those around her. To stop them from doing these things that harm everyone; including themselves. So, Xolotl does all she can to teach, and prevent those around her from making the bad choices that ruin lives.

xxxxx ► She was happy. Xolotlcoatl, one of the youngest daughters of Huatlcoatl and Cuhtilcoatl, was content. She was a beautiful young woman, with fair skin and long hair that touched the ground when it was not pulled back into the high ponytail she usually wore it in. She was a human, in this life, and enjoyed every moment of her span. Her parents taught her the ways of their world, just as they had taught her other siblings, and she believed every word they said. After all, they were her parents; why should she not believe them? She was informed that her domain was that of prevention. She was created to help prevent the bad from happening in the world. But all she saw was what happened within their walls; and nothing bad ever happened there.
xxxxx ► That was, until she had a feeling. Xolotlcoalt wasn't sure what it was. But something felt... off. Not necessarily bad, but just... off. She wandered their palace, looking for what it was, only to find that it was unlocatable. Eventually, after days and days of searching, she figured it out. It turned out that her brother, Cuauhcoatl, had chosen to die. Distraught by this news, Xolotlcoatl hid herself away, mourning the death of her brother. She didn't understand why it was that he was leaving; why it was he desired so badly to be among the people of Earth, but she also didn't question it. Eventually, she found her other brother, Xocoyolcoatl was leaving as well, and it broke her heart.
xxxxx ► Months passed of the woman crying, and trying to figure out what it was that was going on. Eventually it came to her, much like a dream. She had seen her brothers, happy now, but in another form. They were happy there, and doing what their domains gave them the will to do; learning and knowing. Confused and longing for her brothers, Xolotlcoatl realized what it was that had affected her so. She wasn't paying attention to what was important. If she had seen what her brothers had, she would have known what was going on; she could have prevented it. Up here, she just breathed, and moved. But down there, where she was honestly needed, she could live.
xxxxx ► It was then that the lovely woman decided she had to die. She had to die in order to live. She did so, in the honor that her family saw, and when she woke up, she was in the form of a creature known as a Soquili; specifically an Angeni. She was confused for a while, but eventually settled into her new body.
xxxxx ► Xolotlcoatl now roams the land with her head held high. She searches, high and low, for the brothers that she misses so. As she travels the lands, she finds that there are several creatures heading toward paths that could hinder them in one way or another. Her journeys often stop so that she can aid them; prevent them from being shoved into a place in their lives that they are forever unhappy. But her foremost concern was to find her brothers, to reunite and aid them in their quests as well; and to once more be the family she missed having.
xxxxx ► As the days ticked by, Xolotlcoatl was getting no where, and fast. She eventually found herself feeling more desperate than before. Every chance she got to get close to her brothers seemed to be a dead end. So, as the nights passed, she was all but certain she would never find them. As she traveled, she ran into a stallion known as Shoshoni. He was heading toward a path that she did not want to admit existed. Xolotl stuck by the stallion, aiding him and trying to make him feel better about the world around him. She did whatever she could to make him feel safe and needed; loved. And as the nights passed, she fell in love with the stallion. She fell in love with his mannerisms and his voice. The way he was slightly shorter than her and the way he seemed to be falling for her as well. They became a couple rather quickly, and it seemed that, like in most quick relationships, something had to happen.
xxxxx ► Shoshoni and Xolotl agreed to take a break. As much as it broke her heart, she wasn't going to fight him on it. She didn't want to see him being hurt by their proximity. So, they went their separate ways. Xolotl eventually ventured around and found her brothers. And for a time, she was joyous. She forgot all about Shoshoni and their travels. She forgot that every second that ticked by had her heart yearning to find the bright orange stallion again. But time continued on. And as time did, she realized how much she missed the light of her night. She left her brothers then, left the herd to go in search of something that she wasn't even sure existed.

xxxxx ► Mischievous by nature, little Yiska loves to make things funny. She believes that the world is filled with funny things, and they should be shown very clearly. Often times she believes that if a person can just laugh, then their day will be once more on the best track possible. She enjoys playing harmless pranks, such as putting berry juice in a persons mane while they sleep. Though there are times that people thing it to be harmful, she just goes into fits of giggles and usually flees. In all honesty, she doesn't find anything wrong with it. Yiska is a sweetheart though. She generally wants everyone to be happy and smile, though there are always the people that a prank can't help with; in that case, she tries to comfort them as well as she can. She doesn't like to see people sad; which is where her inner pranking derives from. Instead, she wants them happy. Laughter fuels the world, not sadness.
xxxxx ► Yiska doesn't like to seem heartless, so she has a very soft side as well. She won't prank elders or Angeni; mostly because she believes that if she did she would be in big trouble and be shunned ( though of course she wouldn't actually be ). She likes to seem gentle and kind. Usually during this times it means that she is gentle and caring. She will go out of her way to make sure that people know she cares. She will go out of her way so that she can help them out. This generally means that she will carefully plan any way to go and make them feel better. If this means picking fruit off the highest tree, she will find some way to do it. She also has ways to ensure things go right. She will even send love notes to other Soquili to get them together if it means making them happy. That is to say that she likes seeing people happy. It makes her feel as if the world is going in the right direction.
xxxxx ► If there was ever a point in time where someone made her feel like she was being pranked, Yiska will get back at them. She hates feeling as if she has been pranked, and though she doesn't care that other people could feel this way ( due to it being funny to her ) she will get back at them. If it's a harmless one, something that she would pull on a filly or a colt, then she won't mind it too terribly. But if it is something that caused her great embarrassment and irritation, she gets filled with an almost blind rage. And generally that means that she will do something more painful than just changing the color in a water bowl. She will add trip ropes to areas, or add a poisonous mushroom to something, and cause it to make the other creature sick for a short amount of time. She doesn't like being pranked, and it brings out the twisted side of Yiska.
xxxxx ► Despite loving to prank, and loving seeing people laugh, she is very shy. Yiska often does her pranks and then hides in the shadows to watch what happens. She doesn't like being caught, as it frightens her ( even if it's from her doing something good ). She prefers to wait it out and see what happens from a secluded spot, where no one will suspect it was her. It's rare for her to show herself during or after a prank ( Generally only when she is angry and wants them to know that she got them back ). But, in all honesty, even toward people she knows, she shies away, and speaks softly, uncertain if they would like to listen to her speak. She speaks by pranking, not by words alone.

xxxxx ► The third basket was small, as the foal inside was tiny. Uncertain of it's contents, the parents waited eagerly, watching the basket with hope filled eyes. No one knew what would come of it. Though something seemed off. Every now and then, when Aditi or Kenji would move the basket, a wetness would appear, and they were unsure what it was. The only thing they could do was wait for the little creature inside to emerge.
xxxxx ► The wetness was explained as the long tail flopped out of the wicker basket first. Uncertain what to do, the parents watched curiously. Yiska was a strong looking filly, with hope filled eyes. As she matured from her newborn stage, she found that far too many people frowned now-a-days. No, now was the time where she would ensure that people would smile! So, she started to play pranks, and as time progressed, they got more and more intricate. She enjoyed it immensely, but due to being scared of being yelled at, she refused to admit it, being very shy and uncertain of herself ( even if the Soquili laughed at the joke ). It was uncertain why she was so shy, but it got to the point that Yiska was practically a mute, finding it hard to find her voice if she wasn't extremely comfortable with the people around her.
xxxxx ► As Yiska matured and become a fine young mare, she realized her life was a little on the topsy turvy side. She liked to play pranks, but sometimes they would go way too far. Way too far. They'd get hurt or someone would get lost and then she'd feel guilty. And she realized it was due to Shadowcat. The small creature liked to cause issues, and to fight people back. And it made Yiska have to apologize all the time. But that wasn't such a bad thing; after all, Shadowcat was the reason that Yiska met someone who became very important to her.

xxxxx ► Hunahpu is a very smart stallion. Unlike his brother, he prefers to do things by thought and talking rather than by action. He finds the world to be a rather interesting place, and if that means that he has to go slow, and analyze every slight piece, he will. It's been said that he once spent several weeks analyzing a set of plants that grew inside the temple walls. He's generally a very nice stallion, when one gets passed his inner nature. He isn't a social being, by far, and prefers seclusion. But once you get passed his, for lack of a better word, shyness, he will be a companion for life. He has a natural attachment to his brother; being that it was his only friend his entire life. He would risk his own life to ensure that Xbalanque was safe. It's rare to see the stallion smile, though when he does, it's obvious that he is in a very good mood.
xxxxx ► Ever since he was younger, Hunahpu has been teaching his brother and father different things. He enjoys it. He naturally catches on to things, learning about them easily by observation and just listening. And by doing so, he ended up saving his family at one point from eating a poisonous snake ( the snake now resides with him as a friend ). There were several days that he would sit and lecture his brother about different hunting methods; though in the end they just continued as they were, since the food basically came to them. He likes to see the look of amazement and wander on someones face when he tells them something truly marvelous.
xxxxx ► Hunahpu gets in the zone when he hunts. His eyes dilate and he finds himself throwing logic out the door. It may just be his mix of species, but he finds that he is very close to wanting to do whatever it takes to bring down the prey that he is hunting. Sometimes he will think more, such as if a deer or elk had wandered into the temple. He has to be smart to catch them, as sometimes they are faster. But generally he goes into a blind predator state, and attacks without thought. He has rarely lost his prey, and when he does in fact lose it, he is a grumpy stallion for several days. His favorite thing to hunt has always been rabbits, as they are swift on their feet and can hide easily.
xxxxx ► He is the definition of a gentle giant. Standing at almost twenty hands high, Hunahpu would seem rather intimidating with his large wings, sharp claws, and piercing eyes. But honestly, he is a big, fluffy, kitty cat. He likes to curl up next to his brother to sleep, enjoying the warmth. If something sees to be injured or harmed, he finds that he wants nothing more than to aid them, and ensure that they are all right before letting them leave. He likes taking care of creatures ( though when he's hunting this can sometimes go out the door ). As a foal he once helped a bird until it could fly again, before letting it go back into the world.

xxxxx ► There was a herd, not far away from the ancient temples. In the center of the herd lands was a temple, built of stones that were stacked so high it blocked the sun at times. The herd was built with many different members, most of which had talons, and large wings. One stallion ran the group. He was known to be a mighty hunter, scars littered his dark green body, and his eyes were a piercing gold. He took care of his herd, refusing to allow anyone to ever get in any form of harm. It was once said, in legends, that he took on two Purewalkers, keeping them at bay while the others ran into the temple for safety. He was a fantastic herd leader, and his life was perfect.
xxxxx ► It was known that another tribe didn't live very far away from the other. The Alpha went to meet a Shaman that lived there. Somehow, it turned out that the stallion ended up mating with the mare. He left not long after, unaware that the Shaman had gotten pregnant. It was several months later, when he saw her again.
xxxxx ► The Shaman came with anger in her heart. She threw words and anger toward the stallion. Confused, he listened to her shout, and before he knew it, she drove him back into the temple. Two baskets were placed before the stallion. He was confused, and alert. And before he knew it, she was gone. Every time he tried to leave the temple, he found himself unable. Something kept him inside the temple. He found himself alone. Save for two small baskets, that resembled himself, with hints of the Shaman that he had seen twice in his life.
xxxxx ► Weeks passed, and the stallion found the baskets to be the best part of his life. Despite the herd leaving, and him being unable to leave the temple, he found his life wasn't as bad as it could have been. One night, while he laid in a room with an open roof, so he could see the stars, he felt the baskets shift against his side. He watched, amazed, as the two found their way out of the wicker baskets that confined them. He was amazed to see the two colts, so different and yet so similar. He adored them, and named them after the two twin gods that he had heard stories of as he grew older; Xbalanque and Hunahpu.
xxxxx ► The twins grew up well cared for. They hunted small fish and game that ventured into the gardens built into the temple, as a small river ran through it, providing them with water as well. Hunahpu found himself intrigued by the stars, and so his father bestowed upon him a room that had no ceiling, so he could watch and stare at the twinkling lights as he grew. He understood them, knowing that as time went, the world circled, and the stars changed. He started to sketch out calendars along his walls, ensuring that they were correct. Eventually, he began to predict things; such as what fish would show up during what time of the year, and so on.
xxxxx ► They grew up well, and happy. Though they were always warned by their father never to leave the temple. Ever. He warned them that bad things were out there, creatures that wanted nothing more than to kill or be killed. Trusting their father, they didn't leave, and instead stayed within the temple walls, content. It wasn't until they were just on the cusp of adulthood, that they were released from the happy prison. Their father, now very old in his life, was on his last breath. He told them that so long as they were cautious, and could take care of themselves, they were bound to survive; but they had to go out. They had to do what he couldn't, and explore the lands. To start anew. Even start a herd like the one that he used to have. He died that night, and left his two scared and confused boys alone in the temples to decide their fates.
xxxxx ► After taking his first steps outside the temple walls, Hunahpu was startled. He never thought the world to be so big; so green. He stared at the jungle around him in wander and amazement. It took some coaxing from his brother, but eventually the stallion began to explore. He never went too far from the temple, and enjoyed the world outside. He found new food, and enjoyed the world of the hunt. He has yet to explore as much as he wishes, but he is excited to see just what may come out of his ventures to the jungle that had been his home since he was a basket.
xxxxx ► Hunahpu ended up working hard to learn all that he could. He learned of different species and plants he had never heard of before; never seen. He learned of different cultures, and eventually, of the love he could have toward a mare. He fell in love with a young mare with a leopard cloak; Ahni. For months he pampered her and protected her, until the day came that he found out of his mother. He learned of her plan to attempt and kill himself and his brother, and panic settled into his cut. He ran Ahni off, knowing that if she was far away, he would be able to protect her all the better. Since then he has guarded his heart, and learned how to fight with the help of his brother.

He managed to spot a dark colored mare moving around his jungle, and was startled by her beauty. She looked like a jungle princess. And Hunahpu had to know her.

As the moon changed shape, shifting from full to non-existent, and back again, he found himself falling for the lovely princess.
