B’den and Green Riojath
Poor / What's Exercise?
3/3 Second Leg

She must be nearly half way there by now. Right? B'den panted. She was not cut out for all this running. Still she struggled along. She was by no means flying down the track though. Eventually she realized she was coming up upon the feeding pens. Riojath must have passed by earlier. I hope you didn't scare the beasts. B'den felt a wave of hunger and the thought that herdbeasts were tasty. I am kinda hungry.

Now now, I know you get enough. Don't scare the beasts and keep going. You'll get washed and fed after this. I think you need a wash more than I do, Mine. The green laughed. B'den snorted.

8-9. You're just running. It's wet, and you're cold, and neither pleased nor displeased by all of this. At least the Weyr Lake is pretty in the rain. [+1 point]

1. You fall right into a puddle. You're not even sure what caused you to slip, but you are wet and muddy now. Gross! [-1 Point] (If you roll this a second time in any of the prompts, you find mud going into cracks you weren't even aware you had Eww!. [-1 Point] If you roll this a third time, you're going to catch a cold come the next morning! [-1 Point]

6-7. This. Sucks. Not only are you wet and cold but running? Really? You've only just begun and already you're panting for breath. You can tell this is going to be a very long run--and even if you're known to be a runner, for some reason, you're just not felling it. [+1 Point] If you're in Poor Shape, add another point, because you know when to listen to your body, and not push it. And right now, it does not want to be pushed. [+1 Point]

1. You thought you were doing well, but an errant weyrling winds up running right into you! While you're certainly not trampled, both rider and dragonet wind up tangled and muddy! Randomize Publicy an Active Weyrling to see which Weyrling was the offender and quote them so they know!! (Only choose those that are participating in the game!) Then roll a D-4 and see what happens!
- 3. You wind up getting pushed to one side and right into the actual weyrlake! Water is now soaking right into your clothes and you feel quite uncomfortable and cold. Ugh. Your temper is also gone and you have no more spoons--you'll be irritable the rest of the afternoon.

10. You fall right into a puddle. You're not even sure what caused you to slip, but you are wet and muddy now. Gross! (If you roll this a second time in any of the prompts, you find mud going into cracks you weren't even aware you had Eww!. If you roll this a third time, you're going to catch a cold come the next morning! (Second time rolling)

2-3. Halfway through! At least, you think you're about halfway through. You're really getting winded now, and it is very tempting to slow down or stop. Still, you push on. You're getting close to the feeding pens--and need to encourage your dragon to keep running so they don't stop and scare the herdbeasts. If you feel a little hungry, and the herdbeasts look a little tasty, you know fully that's just your dragon's doing! [+1 point]

Roll Green Riojath
Second Leg

The herd beasts looked so darn tasty, as she very well knew they were! Her stomach grumbled as her rider told her not to scare them. It wasn't fair! Just a little snack? She asked hopefully. No, keep going. Riojath gave a huff and flounced dangerously up the trail. Right over her fellow green Sauzath.

Quote:
6-7. Your dragon is running fas as he or she can! In their excitement, they wind up pushing over one of their fellow clutchmates and trample right over them. Ouch! Quote the weyrling above you and let them know their fate. It's very possible the offending dragonet might want to retaliate! Rawr! [-1 point]

2. 2 - +4 points - Feeling good.

This part of the journey took him close to the herdbeast pens. To say he was surprised when his stomach began to grumble and demand tribute was an understatement--at least until he saw how longingly Triesteth was staring at the nearby herd.

Triesteth could hardly help herself. Her rider was trying so hard to make her feel better--amid all the chaos that was going on with her siblings--and his own poor wrist and aching back. But that wasn't his job. Not... not entirely, at least.

Overwhelmed with feeling, the little green wanted to make sure Hers got a boost of support in return. Loudly--perhaps too loudly--the little green trumpted her support.

You can do it, Mine! You are so wonderful, so clever, so strong. Surely, you are the best! I love you! I support you! You can do it! I believe in you! There's nothing you can't achieve--even running.

B’den and Green Riojath
Poor / What's Exercise?
1/3 Third Leg

Had she gotten her second wind? B'den felt herself moving easily for the first time since she began. Was this why some loved to run? It.... was an interesting sensation. There was a deep urge to sprint. She was so close to being done! Surely a tiny sprint wouldn't hurt? B'den pushed herself just a little more using the momentum while she had it.

R'xa and Blue Isteth

Bright Faranth, R'xa was not built for running. She was doing her best, but her best was clearly lacking. You can do it, R'xa!! Isteth called, nudging her encouragingly, even as Orioth's croon reached her. Yes. She could do this. Putting one foot in front of the other, the weyrling began to run again.

[Rolling!

First Leg:
1. 8-9. You're just running. It's wet, and you're cold, and neither pleased nor displeased by all of this. At least the Weyr Lake is pretty in the rain. [+1 point]
2. 10. Ouch! One of the weyrlings, in their excitement, winds up flapping their wings and causing you to trip! The young dragon doesn't seem to realize what happened, and keeps running--but your own dragon might have something to say about it! :V
Randomize an active Weyrling to see which Weyrling it was! (Only choose those that are participating in the game!) In the meantime, roll a D4 to see what happens.
[It's Tianxiath]
4. You actually fall, and in your attempt to catch yourself, hit the ground hard. Picking yourself back up, your wrist is sore--better watch it to see if it gets better or worse. Ouch.
3. 4-5. You're not fooled by the size of the Weyr Lake. You know it's deceptively large, and is a lot wider than it seems. You pace yourself, knowing full well this is going to be all about stamina and the long haul. [+2 Point] If you're in Average Shape, go ahead and add one more point, because you're definitely on the right train of thought! [+1 Point]

1. 1. Your dragon does not want to do this. Nope. Perhaps they're just distracted, perhaps they're feeling lazy, they actually sit down and start to curl up. Unfortunately, your rider has to try to urge them to go--which means they have to pause in their own jog to get their dragonet going. [-5 points]

Middle Leg
1. 4-5. You're struggling. The Weyr Lake seems never ending. Slow and steady wins the race, and while you might slow down your speed--or slip into a bit of a walk--you know this is best. Nothing wrong with taking a little breather. [+2 point] If you're athletic ability is poor, gain an extra two points for listening to the needs of your body. [+1 point]
2. 8-9. Keep on, keeping on. As you run, you're doing your best to pace yourself. You're panting and breathing hard, but know you're stronger and more capable than you think! Your dragon sends you some positive encouragement, keeping your mind on the task at hand. [+3 point] If you're of Average fitness, take an extra point for staying the course. [+1 point]
3. 4-5. You're struggling. The Weyr Lake seems never ending. Slow and steady wins the race, and while you might slow down your speed--or slip into a bit of a walk--you know this is best. Nothing wrong with taking a little breather. [+2 point] If you're athletic ability is poor, gain an extra point for listening to the needs of your body. [+1 point]

1. 2-3. Oh, look at all those handsome clutchmates! Your dragon seems more interested in trailing behind than putting in much effort. There are cute boys (or girls, or both) to admire, after all. And that one in particular has suddenly caught your dragons eye. Quote the Weyrling dragon above you so you can spend a little time gazing at their fine tail, and send them a bit of personal encouragement. [+1 Point]

Third Leg
1. 6-7. You might have been going on along with a steady clip, but you're feeling the burn now. Your chest is tight, you're gasping for air, but the end is so close. The sooner you're over, the better. Unfortunately, your body seems to give out near the end. You drop into a walk, or stop completely as you gasp for breath. Your dragon and Orioth croon encouragement, even as you strive to keep on moving. [+1 Point] If you're of Average fitness, earn an extra point since it's easier to recuperate and recover. Time to get moving to finish this up! [+1 Point]

B’den and Green Riojath
Poor / What's Exercise?
2/3 Third Leg

The beach was so close now! B'den was tired, sweaty, wet, thirsty, and hungry. This was all a bit much for her! She just wanted to cross that finish line and be done. A blue suddenly ran by her. Right by her. Before she could do more than start, that same blue tail swept her legs out from under her. Down into a heap she went. At this rate she was never going to finish! Her leg smarted from the impact of the tail. There would be a large bruise on her leg for weeks to come. That was it. She was done.

There was a bugling trumpet from up ahead of her. I'M COMING MINE!!! B'den winced at the strong mindvoice of her dragon. The green turned around and charged back down the path to her rider Who Needed Her! Heedless of the others coming her way. I'm so sorry Mine! I should never have left you to run on your own! The green climbed into her downed rider's lap with soft little trills of worry, concern, and affection. Riojath's eyed whirled with mixtures of yellow, grey, and purple as she rubbed her head against her rider.

B'den wrapped her arms around her dragon's neck to give a couple sobs. No one would notice tears with the rain and how wet she already was. Riojath reached her wings up to wrap her rider in the only safety and shelter she could provide. She hated this part of riding. She just wasn't cut out for all this physical activity. Despite knowing she'd need the stamina for fighting thread, couldn't she just be a watchrider? The pair cuddled in the middle of the path rather oblivious to things going on around them.

R'xa and Blue Isteth

It was only by sheer luck that R'xa did not suffer from the same fate as poor B'den. She narrowly avoided being sent sprawling by the swinging tail of Riojath, who had simply gone over to check on her rider. Although Isteth seemed a little ruffled over the near miss, R'xa sent assurance to him. They were almost there!

[+1 Point]
2. 8-9. Just keep going. The beach is right there! Ugh. You're tired, sweaty, wet, and thirsty. Surely, you can cross that finish line without incident, right? Roll a D4. Odds, you find yourself hit with a weyrling dragons tail! Which weyrling? The Weyrling who posted above you (or the first person above you other than yourself). The tail takes you out and sends you tumbling into a heap. Whether or not there's any minor damage is up to you--but you're sure going to be smarting as you limp to the finish line. [-4 points] Evens, you're able to duck away in time, though it was awfully close. Watch where you're going, road hog! :V [+2 points]
3. 4-5. You can see the end is in sight. You've almost made it! If you can just find some way to push on! Thankfully, your dragon sends all the support, comfort, and encouragement you need. With a surge of adrenaline, you make it down to the beach water, stumbling as you past along. [+3 points] If you're in Poor Shape, gain an extra point form sheer willpower (and dragon's encouragement) [+1]

1. Skipped because they are already at the beach.

Points: + 1 - 2 = -1 + 1 = 0 - 5 = -5 + 2 = -3 + 4 = 1 + 2 = 3 + 1 = 4 + 2 = 6 + 2 = 8 + 3 = 11

The end was near. He could hear the waves and see the ocean not too far before him. Though his back and wrist were both in very different types of pain, he wasn't going to give in. He was still on his feet, which was more than some of his poor weyrlings could say.

Triesteth's earlier vocal display of affection must have rubbed off on him, because right now, he felt he could do anything. Like finish this race still standing.

Still sprinting. Still running. He continued to gasp for breath, but pushed himself. This would all be over soon.
