Yuni heard every word spoken by the man that had ruined her life, but she didn't care anymore. The lies he told to his fellow cellmates didn't matter. Her life was already ruined. There was no going back.
Yuni calmed down for a moment and thought of her past. Life was fun when she was a kid. Training to learn moves as a hybrid, taking on bad guys and winning, helping her Pokemon get stronger... for a long time, her life felt like a fantasy. Of course, she didn't think of it that way back then. It was only after the world started to rot and her parents died did she realize just how bad things could get, and just how good she had it before.
None of that matters anymore, she thought to herself, the depression closing in on her again. "It's never going to be like that again. I'm stuck here. Stuck with the man that tried to kill me, and the people that tried to save me. Things were bad enough back then, but now... maybe I should just take the easy way out and end it all.
As Yuni contemplated suicide, a burst of energy ripped through her body, manifesting as an aura of Frustration that lasted for about a second before it faded - the result of the gauntlets sapping her energy.. While the others in the cell might wonder where all that energy came from, as it'd been a while since the gauntlets were clapped onto their hands, Yuni was caught off-guard by the burst of energy. She had to breathe heavily, and did so with a look of bewilderment on her face. Where did that come from? she wondered mentally.

Not a Noise They walk together, and theres a moment where her steps stop and she looks back to the woman for a moment, then turning and continuing to walk. I'm scared that Zac's going to be hurt after the Duchy does his work. I dont like the Duchy--he gives me bad vibes. Grandma says kill him with kindness...I'd rather take Zac and run away. She thinks her thoughts, so scared to say them aloud, and cuddles Zac protectively to her while they continue on. The Espeon Hybrid was one of those she trusted--she trusted her like she trusted Grandma Rhyme. 'I can't blame you for not liking him. I don't trust him as far as I can physically throw him, myself. Running away with Zac, though....' Her mental voice was quizzical as she pondered the thought. She hated how they relied on Zygarde to protect them, draining the energy from what was felt of him and the tree. All of this felt like a stop gap until they could possibly find some sort of solution. If people were trying to find a solution. Crystal had felt extremely skeptical about that for a while now, to be honest, but she wasn't getting anywhere really in her own studies. Not anywhere practical, at least. 'And while I could normally get behind Rhyme's sentiment there, I don't think that really affects Faba. Not when he's the one that holds the power here.' The Espeon hybrid would start to take a turn away from the tree, though, beginning to take a path towards the exit of the Duchy. 'I think little Zac deserves to go on a small adventure for all of his help, what do you think?' She paused to wait and see if Eri would come along. It was her call, and if she said yes, Crystal would do everything in her power to help. She had no mechanical knowledge, and really didn't know of what happened up there around the tree. But she was sure little Zac there could not have had enjoyable times there. There needed to be some sort of longer respite for it.

The emolga hybrid looked up apologetically, protectively pulling the Core closer to her. Loyally she follows the Espeon hybrid though Crystals change of direction confuses her initially. Stops short. “An adventure…?” Initially shes hesitant. Duchy hated her being late. He threatened bad things to happen. But Crystal she trusted. The girl nods fiercely and hurries after the elder hybrid. “I agree. If anyone deserves more care he does!”

As Alycia and the Togekiss had been making it back to their home, the Togekiss stopped and noticed these two with widely different yet extremely strong feelings. So the Togekiss didn't say a word to Alycia in fearing that something would happen before the trainer could react, instead the Togekiss flew between the bandit and Rekah and sat on Rekah's head glaring down at the bandit. The glare was only paused for a moment as the Togekiss decided to fart, since it was still a mischivious pokemon. At first Alycia was annoying, sure the Togekiss probably was looking for troubling fun but she had things to do. With a sigh, she headed that way with a sprint. She slowed down when, instead of messing with the man, the Togekiss sat on his head. As she realized they weren't stealing from him and that the Togekiss took on a more protective pose, Alycia rose her eyebrow. She then tried to compose herself as she carefully approached them, trying to read the situation and trusting the Togekiss.

She enjoyed seeing the younger hybrids, and any children that might have been around happy, despite how she might initially come off now a days. And taking care of the last core of the Pokémon that helped them out back in her younger days? That would be wonderful. And a meager repayment for everything Zac's done for them. "I couldn't agree more, Eri. I couldn't agree more."Apparently, the old hybrid had gotten a bit of a reputation to some of the older ones, as most people gave Crystal a bit of a berth as she walked though the Duchy with her walking staff. The pair would be left alone because of this, at least until they got to the edge of the Duchy. There were a few guards there who almost didn't bat an eye at Crystal, until they noticed Eri with her. "Hold it. Why are you heading out with her," they inquired, looking back and forth between the Emolga hybrid and the Espeon hybrid. 'Just roll with this,' Crystal quickly threw into Eri's mond, before speaking up. "Simple. She's assisting me with some research today," Crystal replied, with a very gentle, small wave of her hand. "Something about some sort of punishment, I believe it was. With how few people would even consider trying to be my assistant, it's no wonder they would resort to punishing people by having them assist me." The guards would stare at Crystal for a moment, before looking over to Eri for confirmation. They seemed like they thought it was plausible, but wanted to hear it from her, probably.

Eri was impressed by the way that people treated Crystal. They almost treated Grandmother that way until she got sick. Protectively holding and caring for the Core who snuggled against her, she followed Crystal to the edge of the Duchy, who watched them. She hid on habit behind the Espeon hybrid, peering back out. She didn't like his guards. If she had Zac she was safe--otherwise, her ears would get tugged and she hated that. "I was late...he wasn't happy..." She responds to their questions. "Punishment to work with Miss Crystal was the most...appropriate punishment for what I did." Like she always did when in trouble, she looked down to her feet.

"Hmph. Sounds about right. Maybe you'll learn to be more punctual after she's done breathing down your neck." The guard that spoke motioned to his companion, and the both opened the doors to the Wastelands. "Do be careful out there with her, though. We'd be in as much trouble as you if anything serious happened to her." "You would think that I would allow something to happen to my friend's granddaughter without doing my best to protect her first? Hmph, you insult me. I'll let you know when we're returning. Come along, Eri." Crystal would tap her staff on the ground a couple of times before walking again, entering the arid wasteland that now lay before them.

"....Y-yessir..." Eri stammered, worriedly, and she prayed Zac didn't make a peep. Fortunately for her, the Core kept quiet. She stays close to Crystal, hiding her smile in the long scrap of scarf fabric she uses to cover her ears and shoulders to keep her from the heat. "Yes, ma'am. Right away." She steps in line with her and oh...oh!!! this was the world the Duchy told her Zac was trying to save. And Zac gave so much but he was so small...When the doors close behind them, the Core peeps weakly. Eri feeds him a small berry, and the Core nestles into her. "I've never been past these gates before, Miss Crystal." She whispers. "They've always been off-limits to me. Duchy said that I'd be carved up like a magikarp and eaten if I left." She adds, still whispering, looking up to the other hybrid and keeping close while ALSO keeping the Core secure.

"So, in this direction, there's the old ruins and docks, this way goes to New Po Town, and then this way heads to Flower City. Which direction shall we go in," she'd ask once they were far enough away, pointing when she was telling the directions.

Maybe not the best place, but she could at least play along. Who knows, maybe they could actually get in? But that was still playing with fire. "We'll go as far as we can, Eri, sure." She thought about the answers to the questions the little girl was bringing up, with the note in her head that, yes, indeed, she had never been outside of the Duchy before. Well, that was now going to change, and hopefully, there wasn't going to be any sort of extreme events happening today to make her lose this enthusiasm. Oh, if only the world hadn't ended up the way it did. Anyways.... "I think when I had first gotten here, but figured that I could at least try to put my intellect and knowledge of many things ancient to use trying to find a solution. It seemed pretty alright then, though I haven't been there in quite some time. Maybe we'll see if things have changed at all."

Cecile Silverstone TerashiLeonGoken "No more than I needed to survive on," Corona replied, smirking with a malevolence that befitted a Deathrage descendant. Distracted by the Roserade, Corona would happily hug the Grass-type. "Hello to you, too, Rosey," she said loudly, taking some small pleasure in nicknaming the Pokemon when its trainer would not. "Don't name my Pokemon." Leon said as grumbled. He started walking down towards them. "Anyways. Where did you come from? I need to go into town to grab some stuff for today. Doubt anyone would have any of what I need. But, it's worth the shot." ((sorry must have missed this)) "Aah, you're no fun," Corona teased, sticking her tongue out at Leon. She then had to raise an eyebrow at the old man. "The wasteland is my home, what are you talking about?" she asked. She didn't care about the town he was visiting. Places like that weren't worth anything in her opinion. People that lived in places like that were just fooling thimselves. Or pining for something that didn't exist anymore. Besides, you could find whatever you wanted out here, so long as you were willing to take it from the dummy that brought it in.

SubonicXP It was a bit of a walk but Rekah and their Wicker Bandits escort, and one very pushy Bewear, would make it to Flower City just find, gaining access by paying off a guard, which was not uncommon at all. The bandit had changed into more appropriate street wear though still sporting a pink t-shirt, couldn't completely get rid of his colors. As they walked through the streets the Bewear would occasionally shove Rekah, totally unprovoked. Did it just not like them or something? "You know, you should really be thanking us, especially the boss. For once you'll do something worthwhile with your life rather than rot away on a polluted beach." The bandit taunted Rekah. He still hadn't explained why they were being forced into Flower City. But did Rekah mind? It was likely a tremendous change of pace from their normal life. While they walked down the street no one bothered them, nor did anyone question why that Bewear was being so bossy. Alycia however would spot them, and so would her Togekiss. The naturally emotionally tuned creature would sense the tremendous amount of feelings coming from Rekah, all their feelings of isolation, loneliness, and so forth, it was positively sickening for the Togekiss. But that perhaps wasn't what really got Togekiss's interest, no, it was the other person with Rekah, that man, the bandit. Togekiss knew that emotion, that man had bad things planned for Rekah, deadly bad things, and it didn't just end with Rekah either. Would Togekiss alert their trainer to this? DignityPower As Alycia and the Togekiss had been making it back to their home, the Togekiss stopped and noticed these two with widely different yet extremely strong feelings. So the Togekiss didn't say a word to Alycia in fearing that something would happen before the trainer could react, instead the Togekiss flew between the bandit and Rekah and sat on Rekah's head glaring down at the bandit. Rekah enter the city with the stranger;"Wooooow so *deep hacking cough* this is the magnificent Flower city. It's- *another deep cough* brighter than i imagined." They quickly noticed a togikiss landing on their head. "Well greetings there my friend." Rekah said with a gasping of air voice. "What do i owe the pleasure of my head being a perch today?" Stopping in the middle of the street Rekah oozes to a seat on the group. Reaching into a pocket pulls out a small sealed bag of pokemon rations. "He you go." Rekah lies on the group now in what seems to be a puddle of goop. Unfortunately some of the clothes burst at the seams, an the mask falls off revealing their horrific physical apperence. Rekah didnt notice at first. Seconds later, a trainer comes running up toward them.

You’d think someone with a Komala would know how to sleep well.
But for the past week or so, Sheriff Monique hadn’t been sleeping.
She couldn’t say why. Maybe it was the task of trying to maintain order in what had become, far and away, the only developed stretch of “independent” Aether Island. Monique and her girls—the only all-female police force in Alolan history—had been pretty good at it for a while, but here, you could lose what ground you'd gained in the blink of an eye.
Sure, New Po Town was little more than a walled box along a dusty main road, but it was her pride, as much as one could be proud of anything in this mess. There were worse places not far from here, even if the “best” one was a world unto itself. Without her, this place would fall apart.
If I don’t get my sleep back to normal, she fretted looking at her sleeping Marowak, we still might be in trouble.

"If he isn't an answer just by sitting there and what he said, probably not," Akali spoke up. "If you're lucky, you end up in the wastelands and get to die there instead while everyone cheers on the end of your dissent. We're probably the newest examples anyway. Knew I shoulda left that dumb bunny to her fate. But Jolteon wouldn't have let me hear the end of it if I did. Probably got it from my mom." She'd quiet down afterward, thoughts drifting for a second and moving to a spot alongside one of the walls. If escaping was as hopeless as LJ said, she wasn't about to exert what energy she was allowed from her restraints in attempting to. Her eyes would look to one of the pockets on her shorts, lamenting that she couldn't grab what was stored within and giving a soft sigh under her breath. "...knowing her, she'd have already started thinking of a way out of this mess instead of laying low and not getting into it in the first place."
