Here's some addendums to your question, Mal... Why do most guys ignore "full-figured" women? Why do girls not date the smartest guy in the class but do anything for the sports hero? I think most folks haven't figured out the fact that physical beauty is only skin deep and usually fleeting. Just my opinion. confused

Well, why did (or do) you? You have to have a reason for your actions.. Unless, of course, you're a 90's kinda person who thinks it's completely normal to blame anyone or anything (other than yourself) for what happens in your life. I do own up to my mistakes, though. And since I never could understand the inner-workings of my own mind, I just stopped dating completely. confused

Personally, I think it is the excitement... The nice guys are just that... nice... Bad boys have a mystery, excitement, fear... about them that keeps women interested. It is not until people are older that they realize that that is not what holds a relationship together and if they think they are in a relationship, it generally is one-sided, because the "bad boys" generally care a lot more about themselves than the person they are with. Also, as you get older you don't need that type of excitement, you are looking for more stable relationships.
