My sons used to have hedgehogs. One was named Pear (short for Prickly Pear) and the other was Thistle. Pear didn't like anyone but her master. She curl up on his shoulder and sleep while he did homework. Thistle was a sweetie and liked everyone. (Of course, she belonged to the boy currently getting his pre-vet degree and he has an uncanny way with animals). Cute little critters all the same.
