There are several foods I love, but here's a way of stewing delicious, sweet prunes. They're wonderful with whipped cream or half-and-half. Like dessert!
1) Take a bag of pitted prunes (dried plums). My family uses Sunsweet Gold Label (Kirkland Signature) prunes. Also take a big, non-stick pan. 2) Wash hands. 3) Put the prunes in the skillet and separate them if some of them want to stick together. Basically, just make sure none of the prunes in the pan are sticking to one another. 4) Cover the prunes with cold water. If the prunes are about 1 or 1 1/2 inches high in the pan, pour water into pan until the water level is 1/2 inch above the tops of the prunes. 5) Turn on the fire on the stove to medium. 6) Stirring occasionally, keep the heat at medium until it starts to boil (it doesn't have to be fierce, but boiling). Then, let it boil for 5 minutes. 7) Turn off the heat, put the lid on the pan, and let it sit until it cools. Store prunes in the refrigerator.
