Rikka turned her attention to the tentacle nearest to her before grabbing onto it, blade like claws protruding from the armor on her forearms and digging deep into the tentalce keeping her from losing her grip before using her free hand to wrap her bladed whip around it and pulling, causing a saw effect and slicing the tenticle clean off "thats two tentacles down as far as my counting goes, how many more we got...7...maybe 8?"

"You can subtract another one on the list!" the hole Sebastian made was wide enough as he stuck his hand in and blasted his fire glove full throttle burning and melting everythign on the inside then he jumped off it as the tentacle fell down without a struggle. "Alright whats next!"

Rikka looked around, watching Kira get forced under the water by the squid and the tentacle that had knocked Rano off his feet a moment ago " lets try not to get hit by the remaining tentacles, it seems one hit could take us out of the fight permanantly......well, im safe in the exo-suit, but the others arent."

Scott growled as he heard Kira get hit. Looking over, he saw her fall into the ocean. Looking up at Lilly, he shouted at her. "Duck and roll upon landing, keep your head safe!" He then made sure his gauntlets were off and retracted the cables. Diving into the water, he swam for his Captain, wishing he were better at swimming.

Kira was push deeper under water by the tentacle as she struggled to get out from under its massive weight, finally running out of breath as she gasped for air, only finding water, a look of panic and then anger as she let out a silent growl to the beast as she found the hilts of her blades and slashed furiously at the Tentacle, slicing straight through, freeing herself and trying to swim back to the surface, her concousness failing her, she began to sink back down into the water.
((oh noes!! she iz drowning!! gonk ))

Scott arrived at a spot near where Kira went under and looked around. Dipping his head, he tried to look for her. It wasn't until he saw the beast's blood coming up from below that he took a deep breath and dived. He managed to find Kira, but he couldn't dive deeper. Thinking quickly, he aimed the gauntlet and flexed his grip. The cables fired out with magnetic force and grabbed on to Kira.
Scott pushed upwards, swimming for her life. Soon he had surfaced and pulled her up beside him. Towing her, he tried to wake her by calling out. "Your too tough. Don't do this to me now!" His tone was of a scolding nature and his brow was furled in determination. He beached her soon afterwards and pressed against her lungs to dispel water.

((Btw, Rock had already caught her and took her to the ground. =P Something's awakening within him, making his performances better =J))
Rock placed the blade in front of him as he hooked up his MP3 player to his ears with the other hand and pressed play. The tentacle heading their way was sliced in half with a flick of Rock's wrist. "What do we need to do to stop this thing?" He muttered, not really expecting anyone else to answer. They might just have to end the life of this creature. It was already in a pretty bad shape from everyone attacking it without counting the cannons firing at it. Rock's eyes scanned the beach and saw Scott. A tentacle was starting to swing their way. Rock didn't hesitate 2 seconds and blurred out of view to reappear beside Scott and Kira. "Brace yourselves." He called over his shoulder in a growl, only his voice seemed distorted. He started running towards the sweeping tentacle, dragging the sword on the ground with both his hands. Something seemed to whisper in his ear... Starlight flame... Say it... it echoed through his brain. Rock didn't have much to loose, now did he? just as he brought his blade from the sand, he whispered "Pray to god it does something.... Starlight flame..."once the words were said, the sword ignited with a silver white flame, cauterizing the tentacle and even making it catch fire, steam coming from it as the water upon it evaporated.
The other end that was swooping to hit the couple flew off and rolled out into the sand and into the trees, way off it's trajectory as the beast pushed out another shriek from the fire ablaze. "That makes 2 tentacles cut... What now?" Rock asked as he turned to face Scott and gave a thumbs up

"Well I'm perfectly fine! and it looks like that scott dude has the saving Kira part covered, lets wrap this up I'm startign to get hungry!" he said as ge took down another tentacle.

Rikka counted the tentacles that had been taken down, pretty sure that a squid has only 9, and they had taken down atleast 6, but this beast wasnt exactly normal, there was no telling what surprises it had to offer, the only person who would have actually been able to see the whole squid, both what was being shown above the water and what was hidden benath was now laying on the beach unconcious with her lungs full of water. Rikka looked to Scott and Kira before turning to Sebastian, Rock, Lilly and Sophie. "How is that thing still alive?!" She looked to Eva out of the corner of her eyes, watching her quarrel with Zackory and Rano.
Kira continued to lay motionless as Scott pressed against her chest, after a while of pushing, Kira started to cough up water before gasping for breath.

Scott placed a hand on her cheek and peered into her eyes. He was afraid for only a moment. "Are you ok?" He asked in a gentle tone. He wasn't paying attention to anything around them. Just her.

Kira managed to catch her breath before looking back into his eyes, blushing slightly before remember what they were doing and tried to quickly get up "hows that thing not dead yet?"

Scott sighed and helped her up. He was relieved to see her alright. Before she could get her answer, though, he hugged her. "Don't ever do that to me again." He released her to turn to the beast. They were busy and no matter how relieved he was, he needed to focus. "Make sure no one is near that thing when I release the power of the gauntlet. Kay?" He waled off towards the sea. His left arm was humming as the electricity coursed through it. It was building a charge that could fry the beast. It was time to end this fight
