Oh, I wish I sounded almost-obnoxiously literate at ten (would have helped my grades in school). When I was ten, I must have sounded worse than the n00bs here on Gaia. Hehe. I end up feeling naked on Gaia far too much. sweatdrop
I've just always read faaaar too much.
It's to the point where I find it difficult to purposefully massacre a word.
[As in: "faaaaar"]
But, I do it anyway. Partially to lessen my own seriousness about literacy. :3 I think... that's what happened to me. I read too much and my brain became smart all of a sudden. XD That, and my accent, made me sound like a dork.
Lol. I do that all the time. I am the queen of mispellings. I often don't catch them until it's too late. Then it's a headdesk (or in this instance headwall) moment. Hehe. Well, I love dorks.
They're what keeps the world on spinnin'.
But, what accent do you have?
[Oddly obsessed with accents].
Mine is boring American.

I can't place my accent on a country. People tell me I sound French. Others tell me I have a very South/Central American accent. Others can't place it either.
I can't hear my accent. I hear myself speak like everyone else around me speaks. So, I was shocked when this girl told me, "You have a very pretty accent." XD
Hmm. That's odd. Cool, though.
Apparently the same happens with me, but I've never heard it.
*Shrugs*
I've been told that my accent sounds German. I've heard some other theories, but they're currently slipping my mind.

Oh, I'd love to hear that German accent of yours! (Has a thing for European accents).
It happens to a lot of people. My mom is one of them. She has a choppy, heavily-accented English but she barely notices.
Accents are fun, whether you hear them or not.
And most people don't sound like Jacques Closeau from the new Pink Panther movies when they speak in accents. |
