xxxxKinpaku Isshinxxxx
"Well, miss Bastet, that does provide a predicament. Was there any mention of a familial tragedy he could blame Sunagakure for? Or would you know of any incidents?" Kinpaku began to elaborate. So even if he didn't have a personal reason, even his drunken state seemed to be a trouble maker with little thought of consequence. Nevertheless, it seemed this Ganchou fellow was a trouble maker that wasn't trusted much, even in his own village.
"Kein here is the best tracker I've seen since my master," Kin boasted somewhat. She was proud of the boy, having seen him rise from a genin to the young man he was now. "Considering the care needed, it'll be most useful if he, and another accompanies you. One of the apprentices under his tutelage." It was good, to have the two shinobi present. If need be, the apprentice could actually be kept away from the hot zone, and develop the skills needed to track the tricky shinobi.
"A mask for every situation..."
"And a performance for every soul."

indent "Alright, well," he paused, trying to recall what happened just minutes ago. "I saw Aki-san over here by the door," he said, referring to Aki who had also planned on giving the Raikage a visit today. "And there, behind him, he had been disguised as a Medical Clerk. I was suspicious of it at that time, since us Medics usually work full time in the Medical Bay to treat the sick and wounded, but when I heard that he had asked about something, from Aki-san, I couldn't help but question why him, and then, he just came out and attacked,"
"Initially, he wanted the both of us," he said, looking at the giant Shinobi. "Out of what he was planning to do in the office, hence, we were the first ones to be attacked, but then, Kein-dono and Sypher entered the scene, and he fled, smoking the office with Smoke Bombs. The rest was a blur. This involved the man heading outside, though, in the form of what seemed to be specks and black dust and grains. That is, he broke into the window. I was thrown a bit off guard as I am not really familiar with that kind of jutsu, but anyway,"
"Kein-dono was instantly surrounded by what seemed to be a formation of metal, with sharp spokes aimed at him. But he had threatened the attacker, causing him to just flee, out of the window. And that was, I guess, the last we've seen of him, the assaulter,"
M tried to explain the scenarios as well as he could, but that was about all he could tell based on what he witnessed. If there was anything more, he would have, but initially, he was ordered not to give chase, and was also ordered to stay put at the time of the attack on the Uchiha. And so he did.

"Not that I know of. It's usually just his drinking that causes problems, although he's the only person that I've known to go arguably insane because of it," Bast responded to the Raikage, shaking her head at San. Using summoned creatures in a foreign land would not be as quick as using the nation's own trackers, since the latter knew the land better. Plus, if Ganchou were using Douka, his scent would be difficult to follow, so they needed a seasoned professional. "Kein is very skilled, to have been able to track the rogue that visited us through the desert. It was nice to see someone that professional, too. Most visitors are either tourists or kids, and the difference in maturity between them and Kein is absolutely fantastic. He's quite possibly the most well-mannered person to visit us in a while. Who would this apprentice be, though? Would it be the same girl that he brought with him to find the rogue?"
Bast would have had trouble denying that the Oinin was skilled, and would have been proud of him as well. Although, if she had known him for as long as the Raikage apparently had, she likely would have viewed the hunter somewhat differently. Having faith in someone drastically younger always came to her difficultly.

((Huzzah!))
Bast looked slightly put-out when she heard that Fuyu was away at the Mist, but returned to her no-nonsense self when the mountains were mentioned.
"Don't worry, I'm terrible with mountains, so I'll be staying away from them if at all possible," she said with a smile. Kein's voice then informed her that the Oinin-in-question had made a decision, and she turned to listen. She even bowed slightly when he did. "Thank you for the offer, Mister Kein! Hopefully we'll not get the chance to take you up on that offer until after we find Ganchou."
She waved as Kein left, but was left wondering if anyone had seen anything odd in the countryside. She didn't remember the weather out there being as volatile, but she was unsure of whether Ganchou would have continued out of the country or touched down someplace closer. She turned to the Raikage to field her question.
"Before we go, ma'am, I was wondering if any of your outposts in the countryside have reported anything strange over the past while. Ganchou is not known for his subtlety," she said with a look of thoughtfulness. "Is Kein grabbing that information as part of his preparations? If that's the case, I'll get out of your hair and wait for him at the Gates."

Kein was already getting ready to bark orders, but it didn't appear to dawn upon the oinin, that he'd be collaborating with two sunagakure shinobi. Either way, Kein was out of the room, to collect Dai and Zetsu before she had much of a chance to correct him. Shrugging it off, she glanced to Sypher, inquiring about what to do. "Well, Sypher. I know this seems ridiculous, but I want your team to track down building materials," the oni began. It seemed most ridiculous, considering the situation, but an attack of this scale didn't result in the death of any. They'd simply... Run. "Afterward, have it escorted up here. Take no eyes of the merchant's caravan."
Bast moved to inquire after oddities, in the area, but there hadn't been much to it all. "Just an odd trader that has long since disappeared, from within the village confines. He'll likely come with full reports yet," answered Kinpaku, as she moved back into her office, to settle herself within her seat. She'd cleverly developed a quick escape even, since she'd adjusted the office, her feet drifting in the pool of water.
"A mask for every situation..."
"And a performance for every soul."

Bast waved at Sypher and bowed to the Raikage after processing the information given her. The merchant was likely Ganchou, if he had gone missing, but the woman did not have more than a feeling to go on in this case, so she said nothing of it. When she stood up again, she waved and made her way to the door.
"In that case, I'll make my way out to the Gates to get ready for more travel," the woman said. "I thank you for your patience with this matter, and I'm looking forward to talking with you later."
She slipped out of the room and walked down the spiraling tower, noting once again the exquisite detail with which the architects had constructed the building. She had to remember to stop by the restaurant she had met them in, if it were still open. Perhaps she would even meet them there again, although they might have aged and become unrecognizable as most people did.
Body shape, huh? Bast thought, remembering the Kumo-nin that had recognized San. Is there anyone in this world still worth remembering?
She stepped out of the building after grabbing a map for tourists, and quickly located the road to the main Gates. She felt out-of-place in the mountains, but the feeling was accompanied by faint stirrings, as if she had been in the Village before this trip. She pocketed those thoughts and made her way to the Gates, sending off a message to Mamoru as she did so.
