Just as had been predicted, lower ranking guild members could be seen in the shadows, attempting a stealthy assassination of the pig-like merchant. They had yet to notice Balthastern, or how out of their league they truly were.

One, having just envenomed her blade, walked noiselessly towards the trade prince from behind. One was hidden in the rafters, readying his bow so that he could provide support to his ally below. Another was keeping watch, making sure that nobody left or entered the premises before their job was finished.

And just once I'd like to see an art history teacher that didn't make class boring as ********. XP ))
Balthazar swiftly grabbed the arm of the one with the poisoned blade and yanked her forward. "A trade bigwig and you only send three shmucks? You guys aren't very good at this, are you?" he said before throwing her up to her friend in the rafters.

Just because three were all that could be seen did not mean that there weren't more. As there was a wizard amongst them, it was no surprise that some could be cloaked by invisibility magic. They attempted their strike against Balthazar just as miss stabbity flew through the air, crashing into the archer just as he was about to shoot - his aimed arrow stabbing right through her shoulder and lightly poking into her ribs.

"Hurry up and show yourselves! I'd like to be home by dinner time!" Balthazar joked as he looked around with a glimmer of fun in his eye, waiting for the next good to make their move.

Two goons attacked Balthazar, one from the front and one from behind just as their invisibility faded. Mr. Archer would have joined in, but alas his bow was now broken thanks to miss Stabbity crashing so violently into it after she was thrown. So instead, he was searching himself for throwing knives while two of his comrades would be hopefully distracting the bodyguard.

Balthazar ducked under whatever attack the pair had planned and kicked one of them away before elbowing the other in the gut. This gave him time to grab the temporarily incapacitated one to drag in front of Phineas to use as a shield from the incoming throwing knives.

The two ended up shirking each other in the necks. An embarassing way to die, certainly. The fact that they were able to get past Phineas' security is amazing, but their luck ended just as they encountered Balthazar. Just as Ophelia had intended. Now all that remained was the wizard a distance from Balthazar and Mr. Archer. The wizard prepared to throw a firebolt at Balthazar, but with the vast superiority in magical strength the body guard had it would do no damage whatsoever at best.

"Ugh. Wizards. More annoying than anything." Balthazar said shaking his head with a shrug of his shoulders and a sigh before strolling towards the wizard, making sure he blocked his line of sight to Phineas the entire time.

The wizard rightfully had an 'OH s**t' look on his face as he started to panic, throwing as much harmful magical energy as he could at Balthazar - each inevitably doing no damage despite how deadly and volatile each looked. Mr. Archer plucked the throwing knives from his compatriot's corpse, intending on reusing what he had to attack Balthazar as his back was turned. (Idiot should have attacked Phineas, if you ask me.)

"OI! YOU FORGOT TO TURN OFF FRIENDLY FIRE!!" Balthazar shouted to the wizard. What followed should've been obvious to everyone present. He simply bent over backwards, pulling a Matrix bullet time event just because he could as a blast of magic flew overhead at Mr. Archer behind him.

Mr. Archer fell to the ground, now nothing more than bones and ash. Squishy the Wizard would be promptly slain by Balthazar, no doubt. The job was surprisingly easy for one of Balthazar's calibur, but that was unsurprising. Ophelia had a point to make in setting this whole scenario up. Offing these spies was a message as to what happens to those who 'interfere with guild business'. It would also send the message of what would happen to any who dare act against the guild's allies.

"Pleasure doin' business with ya!" Balthazar said giving a little wave over his shoulder once everything was taken care of. "Oh gods, I feel like a need a shower now...That guy really needs to invest in an air freshener or twenty." he said making the well-known 'something reeks' hand motion in front of his nose.
