Had a bit of a IRL shitstorm of late, I'm nearly caught up on backreading this now, been trying to catch up on my phone. I've got some IRL commitments after work, but unless more unexpected things come up I should have an IC post tonight.

One usually didn't go too far in a stranger's fort unaccompanied, it was simple precaution- yet whether he was walking alone or escorted, Ilikan didn't seem to notice. No fort was too much unalike another, and he looked straight ahead, paced without hesitation right toward the general's study, pausing only to rap firmly on the door and await a response before letting himself in.

With a straight, almost military, posture, and relaxed expression, gear rough and worn but well taken care of, low maintenance and practical, he looked every bit the mercenary that had been called for- except of course that he came alone, and wore hide rather than steel.

"General," he greeted with a languid solute, giving a casual glance about the room- though it was probably a lot less telling than what had been around the fort. "Received word you were looking to hire urgently. Courier didn't say what for, but I'm presuming it's drow related."

I guess I didn't make this clear in the recruitment thread. You are already part of the army, that's part of your backstory. This is your fort, and this is the general you work for. He's not hiring you, he's about to give you orders.

Couldn't do that, Ruin wouldn't be able to find a bottomless hole... and wasn't there a saying "if you let it go and it ritturns it is true wubs." or something like that. He ritturned!

As a heads up, I need a super brief hiatus. I've been very busy this next week and will be the first half of next, in preparation for a presentation at work on Thursday the 1st, along with other obligations (visiting friends out of town, a promise to help support a party on Saturday, working extra shifts, making efforts to get my sink replaced because it's a piece of crap, etc).

The presentation is the biggest time sink of my free time right now though, so after next Thursday, I'll be around more to post.

My apologies for my absence in the meantime.
