"Hey now, that kind of talk is just uncalled for." Adrian said pulling her into a comforting hug. "You're not allowed to get tossed aside for permanent retirement, or die in a fight, or anything like that. It's forbidden, and Sikes'll have to shock me death if he wants to make it so. You just need some extended R and R, and find away to get over that thing in your head. I know you can do it."

Amaya just laughed a little, shaking her head as she looked up at Adrian. He was so determined to make sure that what she had been shown over and over again wouldn't happen to her. It was nice, but it was hard to keep that from happening.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"No harm in trying. At least for me?" Adrian said giving her his best puppy dog eyes with a pout.  

[Maya Freana]

"I can try." Amaya agreed tiredly, laying her head on his shoulder. "I like this down time. It's about the only thing that helps me feel normal..." She murmured.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Tell me about it. Having an actual house instead of a cage helps tremendously too." Adrian said keeping his arms wrapped around her in comfort.  

[Maya Freana]

"It does..." She said, nodding in agreement as she settled in his arms a little. "Glad to be out of that cage..."  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Take away the jackass owners and the nightly fights, and this wouldn't be a bad place to call home." Adrian said with a small smile. "Just a nice little place for a colony of freaks like us away from the gaze of the normies."  

[Maya Freana]

"Yeah, except I'd like to raise Calista up in the sun light instead of down here in the horribly lit hole." Amaya sighed.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Well, where did you have in mind? If you don't want to stick around the US of A for the bad memories, where were you planning to go? Somewhere in Europe?" Adrian asked curiously.  

[Maya Freana]

"Actually I was thinking more of Japan or something. People would mainly think I'm cosplaying there. Plus all the crime is organized, so I wouldn't have to worry about something terrible happening to Calista every time she leaves the house." Amaya said as she thought on it.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Ha! Just be careful you don't get any fanboys for your oh-so realistic 'costume'. You know how those guys can be." Adrian joked. "Of course, the question is, do you know Japanese, and if not, how long do you think it would take to learn it.?"  

[Maya Freana]

"I know Japanese. I lived there until I was 11. I'm a little rusty, but I try to translate books in my head when I can so I don't completely lose it. I'm sure I'd pick it back up if I go back." Amaya said with a shrug.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Wait, seriously?" Adrian looked surprised. "Then how on earth did you wind up here?" he asked, trying to figure out Amaya's transformation timeline in his head.

"What? The US or this hole?" Amaya asked, raising an eyebrow.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Um, both?" Adrian said, somehow more confused than he was before with that one simple question.
