Commander of an army, defending the kingdom from rebellion.
But it's probably told from the rebellions point of view. D:

The shadowy assassin-mercenary. The party does not know whether you're a good guy or bad guy. You often show up to eliminate a certain person, sometimes hired by the bad guy to kill a party member.

in the end, you decide to side with the good guys, putting your skills to better use.

You would play a beautiful, shy, incredibly kind magic user, perhaps even white magic, who hates violence and prefers to stand in the back of the ranks in battles, simply casting helpful and healing magic on your fellow party members.

You're an orphaned girl from a small village that was recently destroyed by a big-bad army. When the heroes come to town, they meet you, and after explaining what happened, you form something of a crush on the main hero. You give him a few items to aid him on his journey, and every time they visit you make a point of following him around.

You are a strange travler who the heroes meet on the road. You offer to tell their fortunes, and most of what you have to say seems to be good for the heroes. However, though you tell 'positive' fortunes to them, you charge a ridiculously high price, practically robbing them (making you also a thief), but though you do not join their party nor give them any actual useful information or items, at least you don't fight them either.

You would perhaps play as an animal or monster tamer in a slightly modern fantasy setting. You would probably, rather than working on either the good side or the bad side, end up being seen on ranches or places where the hero party leaves their monsters.

You're a poor, average, farm girl. Unbeknownst to the party when they first stumble across your farm, you're also pretty wicked with knives. They learn this the hard way when the thief in the party tries to steal some eggs out of the chicken coop the next morning.

(Kazuma, nah, not last year. This was my Holi-Day outfit, but I like it too much to only wear it one day... Dang, you said that on the other thread, didn't you? stare Whatever.)

You would be an optional boss in a slightly random side-quest, and would sneak up on the party because you thought it would be funny. Unfortunately for you, one of the party members had a bomb, and threw it into the top of your jack-o-lantern head while shouting, "Fire in the hole!" After beating you, you give up and decide to join them as a summon instead.

A knight from Heaven who is hell-bent on continuing Heaven's plan to eradicate humanity. Your job is to collect corpses from the battlefields that will be used as "material" for Heaven's armies.

The Heroes find the location of the "cauldron of rebirth", the source of Heaven's unholy army...which is (of course) located in a tower guarded by you (a mid-game boss). The party must defeat you & destroy the cauldron in order to oppose the tyranny of Heaven (and continue the game).

An average, but tough monster in one of the higher level dungeons where undeads reside. There are many of you, and you're just one of the many who are likely going to fall to the party, especially if they cast a healing item on you.

When the hero and his friends are captured and held in the dungeons awaiting execution, you're charged with bringing them meals. The hero's kind attitude makes you fall in love with him, and you decided to help the hero and his friends escape. Stealing the keys from the sleeping guard, you help the heros flee through the labrynth of the sewers. At the end, you are tragically devoured by rats are you hold the gate open.

You are a black mage working as a cour jester and magician and adviser for an evil, powerless queen. You are loyal to this queen, however, and she often sends you to fight the hero party. Each time the hero party beats you, and you run off and come back stronger the next time. Unfortunately, you're not strong enough to become the final boss. The hero party defeats you just a few bosses away from the final boss, but they take pity on you and do not kill you. Angry at the hero party, and still loyal to the queen, you return to her to ask for one more chance to defeat them, promising to beat them next time. Unfortunately, the queen turned out to be an incredibly greedy, cruel, selfish woman who didn't care about you as much as you thought. Before you ask the queen for a chance to score that incredibly powerful item to beat the hero party, you overhear her talking about sacrificing you to make the final boss even more powerful. You quickly change your mind about the queen and flee, but you don't join the hero party either. Instead, you find that final item yourself and approach the party one last time, but only to hand it over and give them helpful tips to defeating the final boss.
