In seemingly no time, Sonyo was back, jogging up the path that led to Bast's estate. She took the time to quickly bow at the Evergreen shrine along the way before making her way to the workshop. Bast was where she had left her, and she was glad the kunoichi hadn't left. She stopped in from of Bastet and bowed to the woman before straightening up. "I'm back Miyamoto-san, and I learned the Summoning technique as you requested!"

Bast waved at Sonyo as the girl ran off, fairly certain that the girl would be back in no more than an hour. The Summoning Technique was not, in her opinion, a very difficult technique, but then she was a bit more adept at using Fuuin than some of her colleagues. Sure enough, though, the girl was back before the woman even had a chance to finish the pot of tea.
"Welcome back!" she greeted Sonyo. As she spoke, a pad of blank white paper scurried out from inside the house; Bast scooped it up and smoothly grabbed the pen that had been carrying it, then drew a seal on the piece of paper. She drew an identical one on a second page, then held out one of the sheets toward Sonyo. "I had a feeling you'd be back soon. Your escort is getting ready now, so let's go over what you'll be buying: to get the workshop back up and running, we'll need a set of files, saws, and engraving tools, a bellows, a pair of tongs, five units of varnish, a marver, a set of chisels, a glassblower's mini-tool set, a set of rasps, two pocketed leather aprons, two shavers, two planes, five mannequins, ten blowpipes, wax, a set of polishing cloths, two pairs of eye protection glasses, and two pairs of leather gloves. For raw materials, we'll need 100 lbs. of coal, 100 Ryou worth of cut wood, five sets each of dye and frit, ten bolts of common cloth and four bolts of rare--use your discretion--and 25 lbs. of unprocessed glass."
The woman made sure to write down each item as she spoke, creating a nice list of things that were necessary from "The Forge"--the primary smith's shop in Takumi. Then she created a few other headers for various other stores, and started to speak of those:
"All of those items you can find in 'The Forge'. I'll also need you to grab a cloth set from the River Port, a pair of mechanic's goggles from the 'Steel Thread', and four Gelel Stones from 'Wood and Iron'. The total expense should be somewhere around 14,040 Ryou, if my calculations are correct. I'll give you 15,000 and you can keep the change; we'll discuss additional payment after you get back. Sound good? I'll get you the cash now if you have no questions."
Calmly, she folded up the order and held it out toward the girl. Fifteen thousand Ryou was no small sum for Bast, though she could undoubtedly make it back in no time if she really wanted to. It wasn't like she was using it anyway.
Sonyo took the piece of paper with Bast's summoning sign on it, listening intently to her as she spoke. There was a long list, and she'd be running around a decent amount but it would get her out of the village for the first time since she ran away from the UHV. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't excited, she had never been to takumi herself and could only imagine how wonderful of a city it was. She carefully pocketed the summoning seal for bast and then took the piece of paper and looked it over; bast had really neat handwriting, perhaps she had lots of practice with calligraphy? "No need to pay me in advance Miyamoto-san, this is a good experience opportunity for me." The young genin reached back and pulled up her cowl, her hazel eyes shining from underneath it.

"Suit yourself on that one." Bast chuckled as she pulled out a bag of Ryou, then threw her head back and cried out: "Get over here already! How long does it take to change clothes?!"
Her voice carried across the grounds, trailing a playful scorn. After a few strangely quiet moments, a young, slender lady in an uninspired blue dress came trotting around the corner of the house. She had short brown hair and gray, unexpressive eyes, and across her back was strapped a primitive-looking wooden spear. Bast tossed this new arrival the bag of Ryou.
"Mononoke, escort Sonyo to Takumi and back. Protect her if she gets into trouble, and pay for the items I mentioned earlier," Bast instructed her golem, which nodded mechanically. That done, she turned back to Sonyo: "I'm afraid she won't be great on conversation, but she'll get you there and back in one piece unless you run into something truly monstrous. The guards are acquainted with my methods, so they shouldn't hassle you on your way out; if they do, just tell them your escort is from me."
The woman raised her tea cup and smiled.
"Godspeed!" she cheered Sonyo before gulping down the last of her tea.

Sonyo jogged up the path to the Miyamoto residence, the workers already bringing in the supplies. The young female walked up to Bastet and bowed, handing back the summoning seal alogn with all four receipts and the struck out list. "I'm back Bast-sama! Takumi was so beautiful and large!" She straightened up, pulling back her cowl. "It was also pretty cold, I guess winter's coming to the colder parts of the world."

It was odd that he had chosen to seek out Sonyo first instead of announcing himself to Lady Kage but the wills of the heart bowed to none ne? Making his way up the path he did all he could to keep his fur trimmed cloak from dragging and the plates of steel on his hip from clanging against his scabbard. As he made his way through the complex he listened for voices and upon hearing the voice of the one he sought began to zero in on it. Despite the size of the complex it did not take him long to find her. Leaning up against a pillar he smiled and folded his arms just watching her for a moment. He had missed her so very much over the past few months and now that he was back her beauty was not lost on him. Pushing off the pillar he smiled and called out,"I see Mistress Bast is teaching you a thing or two." He stepped off the porch and slowly began crossing the distance between the two smiling all the way. He hoped she wouldn't be to upset with him trimming up his hair. Furthermore his head was absent of his falcon feather headdress, though the feathers were now hanging from the pommel of his katana.

The first time hearing his voice in months made Sonyo freeze, her heart lurching in to her throat. She quickly turned, her eyes wide and beginning to fill with tears. He was different than the last time she saw him, he was wearing different clothes and he was no longer wearing his headdress. Sonyo herself, too, had changed. She was wearing a full suit of snow white armor, her hair longer and her skin beginning to tan. However, as always, the feather he gave her was still tucked firmly in to her ebony locks. He was home, Nariomi was home....
Sonyo quickly cleared the space between her and Nari, hugging the man tightly and burying her face in to his chest. He smelled of cold; of ice and snow and evergreen. However, under all those smells, he still smelled like himself... The hyouton user began to tremble, tears gathering in her eyes. It took her a few moments before she could choke out words. "Y-You're home.... I missed you so much...."

The sight of her hair, the sound of her voice and the touch of her skin all brought his feelings to the fore and his thoughts from his mind. Here she was, the woman he loved more than life itself once again in his arms. As the tears began to well up behind her eyes he wrapped his arms around her and held her tight simply enjoying the feeling of her in his arms once again. After a time he smiled and lightly tilted her chin up with a soft smile as he finally gathered the mental ability to speak,"She is beautiful and therefore to be loved. Hear my soul speak of the very instant I saw you did my heart fly to you once more." Without even thinking about doing so he quickly pressed his lips to her in a kiss. It had felt like forever but in this moment in that kiss the world was righted and all was well.

The kiss was refreshing, it felt like the first big breath of air after being under water for a long time. She didn't hesitate to kiss the man back, a smile growing on her lips as she did so. She felt peace flowing through her, happiness-- but then it was shattered by the very earth heaving underneath them. Sonyo clung to Nari who was like a brick wall against her, breaking the kiss and looking around, wide eyed. She was gifted with the sight of a monsterous bug towering over the village. "What in the hell is that thing!?" She could almost feel it's pain; it was hurting, but why? Why was it in so much pain, what was happening to it? A frown formed on the Kunoichi's face, her eyes sympathetic. "It... almost seems like it's in pain..."

The rumble came as Bast was busy poring over the new equipment and materials. A few tiles from the roof of the house crashed to the ground outside the workshop, prompting the woman to peer outside warily rather than simply run out and take a look. It seemed the Seven-Tails had been released, but it was not yet rampaging. Given the situation, it was likely they had a chance to talk to it before it bugged out. Bast whispered a few instructions to Mononoke, who ran back into the house.
"Oi, you two," the woman called out to her visitors. "This is no time to be dallying about here. Evacuate the Residential District and surrounding areas and then report to the Kage's Office for further instructions."
It was about this time that Mononoke returned with Bast's arms and light armor. She closed the door to the workshop and slipped into the light armor that San had prepared for her so long ago, knowing full well that it would stand little chance against the Bijuu's attacks, then emerged and started running toward the beast. Mononoke kept pace, dressing the woman with her weapons as they ran.
A kiss as sweet as any elixir and healing just the same. Every care washed away, until hell broke loose. As Sonyo stumbled into his arms he found himself agreeing with her. Even from here he could feel its pain. When Bast gave her orders Nari changed. His face hardened, his emotions dulled, and his eyes glassed. He hoped Sonyo wouldnt have to see him like this but so be it. Helping her to her feet Nari nodded and took a step back as he spoke softly,"On this day the sword will rise to return peace and order to a shattered world." As he spoke his blade was slowly pulled from its scabbard leaving the wicked blade naked in his hand. He felt for the beast but he would not let anyone, or anything, harm his village and more importantly Sonyo. Turning on heel he motioned for Sonyo to follow. As he did the Nishuu symbol was clear upon the back of his coat,"Lets go." With that he blinked from existence before reappearing on the roof of the building then once again as he then lept from the roof towards the residential district. He would follow Basts orders to evacuate happily but he would never sit idly by while a potential s**t storm went down.

Sonyo's eyes turned sad, seeing Nari harden over like the bones inside his body. The gentle man she knew was hidden behind walls upon walls; her poor Nari. Bast gave them orders and she turned and bowed to the older female respectively. "As you wish, Bast-sama!" Nari disappeared beside her and she began running as well, all the way across the residence and towards the residential district. Nari was in the sky and she was on the ground; they would make a good team here. While Nari was probably fighting, she would most likely be trying to limit the damage and heal the injured. "Let's go save some people, Nari-san!"

Mononoke arrived at the front gates of the Miyamoto household--or the remains thereof. The gates had been blown open and twisted by the Nanabi's winds, and much of the greenery inside was damaged. The golem stepped between the gates, noting a few collapsed walls around the property and some debris that had blown in from the rest of the Village. The area could use some cleaning, that was certain. The damage to the path was minimal as soon as it went between the trees, though some of the statues and markers had fallen and broken. Many of the animals that called these lands their home could be found cowering between the greenery, and recoiled at the sight of Mononoke.
The main household was a mess. Part of the roof had caved in, and there was hardly an undamaged sliding door in sight. The damage extended into the inside of the house as well: the books in the study were strewn all around the place, pots lay dented in the kitchen, and a few chairs were stuck in the rafters in the dining room. The small workshop outside the building was practically undamaged due to its sturdy design, but it was the roof over Bast's bedroom that had caved in. Upon poking her head inside, Mononoke found the Princess holding up part of the roof, with Maimakterion next to her, clearing away debris slowly. Between them, the small sphinx kitten Daichi had given Bast trembled in fear.
Thinking quickly, Mononoke went back outside and crawled under the house toward the Princess' location, which was easily noticeable due to her legs sticking straight through the floor. It was in times like this that the phenomenal weight of some of the golems actually came in handy. Mononoke pried several floorboards apart, then broke away some splinters of wood and retrieved the cat.
"All clear," the golem called out as soon as she had retreated to the workshop with the cat. In response, the Princess hurled the section of roof away, tearing up much of the bedroom in the process. Following that, the collected golems of Bast's creation gathered around the workshop and exchanged status reports.
Once all was said and done, Mononoke bowed out, put the kitten in the dragon Kanpai's care, and ran back to the hospital.
