Oloneric is the quiet observant type. He can be shy when first meeting new faces but generally opens up with time. While inquisitive about the world around him Oloneric is far from adventurous, even when seeing something of interest he will rarely race forward to see what it is, instead opting to remain at a distance. When he is being more outgoing you can bet his brother Syrrin is with him, as the colt often does whatever his brother tells him to. He is also relatively quiet and doesn't speak much, though should you talk of something that interests him it may be difficult to stop his rambling and questions.

Being the quiet, non-adventurous type Oloneric preferred to stick close to home and family as a foal. He was too shy to speak much, even around his family and strangers scared him. But event he quiet types have their way of getting into adventures and trouble. As a colt Oloneric became fascinated with insects, spending hours talking to his grandfather about them, learning as much as he could and observing them closely. Insects came in so many shapes, sizes and colors that it was hard to not become totally engrossed in them. And this occasionally led him into trouble. On several occasions he found himself following a new bug he had never seen before only to realize he was very far away from home and effective lost. His mother or grandfather always came to his rescue returning to colt home safe and sound.
Whether it was his love of bugs or because of his Aunt, who happened to be an Alicorn, Oloneric also began to dream of flying. It never mattered that he didn’t have wings, he still would try to fly, often involving running and jumping in the meadow. His Aunt Mercy encouraged him fully in this even helping him achieve greater height and distance by suggesting he use an old tree stump as a launch point. Though he never actually flew Oloneric loved every minute of the experience.
When he was a bit older, yet still a foal, Oloneric found himself in another bit of trouble. He had been following a bug and because it was a hot day decided to go for a swim in the small river than ran near his herds territory. He had swam there many times and so was no novice at this. However, the spring melt had swollen the river causing the current to increase, sweeping him downstream quickly. There was no way to swim against the current and soon he was far from home. Though he struggled to get out the water was too deep, the sides of the river too steep and he was too tired to swim much longer. As luck would have it a pair of large Soquili, Jarita and Eversong, happened along at this time and with Eversongs help the colt was freed from the water and was able to rest. Thankful for the rescue the colt explained what had happened and the trio headed back to his home.
After that day Jarita and Eversong visited the herd often during their travels, checking up on Oloneric and his family whenever they could. The colt developed a strong bond with the pair and always looks forward to seeing them.
As he grew Oloneric became a bit more sure of himself and would venture out a bit more, though he still preferred to stay close to home. When his mother took him on a trip to a mountain shrine Oloneric meant another filly there named Whisper. The two got along great during their stay but eventually it was time to go home.
He didn’t get to see Whisper again until they were both adults. Curious to see what had become of his friend Oloneric ventured to the mountain shrine. Once again they spent a great deal of time together, and after leaving Oloneric found himself thinking more and more of this little quiet mare. And so he began traveling to the shrine more frequently, spending as much time as possible with her. Their bond grew quickly and eventually they became mates. While Oloneric still spends a lot of time with his family herd, especially when Whisper is busy with duties at the shrine, the majority of his time is spent with his beloved mare.
Recently he received news that his mother had a second set of baskets. Excited about being an older brother Oloneric left the shrine to be with his family for a while. It was in this time that their family friends Jarita and Eversong returned for a visit. The pair decided to stay with the herd to see the foals come out of their baskets. Once the foals were out Oloneric took his role of big brother very seriously, though he loves both of his sisters equally he feels a stronger bond with Poe because she is quite shy. He plans to stay and help take care of the foals as the grow and will soon enough return to Whisper and the shrine, perhaps the pair will even start a family of their own someday soon.

Tal likes the quiet life, which is why bonding to the stallion Oloneric made perfect sense to him. The pair are almost always seen together and Tal has taken quite an interest in Oloneric's love of insects, sometimes helping the stallion flush them out from small areas so that they can get a clear look at them. When not chasing bugs he enjoys swimming in the stream or eating fresh flowers in the meadow.
