▄▀▄▀Lief finishes watching all the matches and is really excited to see a lot of unique techniques being used that he's never seen before. "You taking all this in Gabumon? These guys are great, it's too bad we forgot to enter, that'll teach me to wake up late..." A couple battles were just getting started, but most of the battles for the day were close to over or already finished. Lief and his digimon had been watching every move intently trying to figure out who might be the favorite to win the competition. The first match he had watched had been between two tamers that he knew were competing for the first time and it had been a stellar match as the two rookie duelists came out firing with an awesome battle, in the end one of them had to admit defeat and they both seemed to look forward to battling again some day. The winner and his Veemon moved on to the next round, ready for a challenge.

▄▀▄▀The next battle seemed to move really fast as one of the Tamers seemed to have given up right off the back, Lief wasn't sure what the reason behind that was but he figured there must have been a good one. After that there was a match between a pair of tamers with a lot of flair and emotion. The two went all out at each other until one of the Tamers player Weapon Shop so the other tamer could take him out in one final power attack. "That's strange, it's almost like he played that just to see if his opponent would use it or not. Of course you would have to be an idiot to not so the outcome makes sense." Gabumon concluded but Lief couldn't figure out why the tamer who had lost looked so content like he had wanted that to happen just to prove some point. Then right after that another quick battle went down as a tamer got a lucky first go and finished the match in record time. The victorious tamer look almost apologetic about winning even though it meant moving on to the next round. Lief felt it was good to see him try to comfort the girl on her loss, he had come out with a great strategy and there wasn't really anything she could do against it. It looked like he might be a pretty tough customer to take down, Lief would be keeping an eye on him.

▄▀▄▀The most recent match that had just finished was between two tough looking opponents but again it came down to getting a good move in and a great strategy. Even so the tamer who lost never gave up the fight and saw it through to the very end, showing just how strong he was. Unfortunately the match was brought to an end by a great game plan and the Tamer was forced to come join the stands. Lief walked over to the Tamer as he climbed up the stairs. "That was a great match ya'll just had, he seems like he's gonna be pretty tough to beat. Good luck to ya next time though." Lief held out his hand to congratulate the tamer.

▄▀▄▀Around the fields there were still a few more matches underway that could go either way depending on what card the tamers played. Lief loved the atmosphere of the arena and looked forward to all the matches to come. As he rejoined his digimon in their seats he pondered if he might have been able to put up a fight in this tournament or if he would have been one of the ones to go out in the first round like so many others had done that day. He decided not to let the thought linger to long as he remembered that there would always be new competitions as long as this arena was open.
