Alexander was feeling more and more trepidation towards what was happening as every moment passed. First the 'taming sticks' and the towels that were handed to Alex. Then the professor telling them they would be removing...creatures..from the cave.

But then he would look at Yin's face, and how excited the other boil looked and how could Alex not get excited as well? He followed Yin into the caves, stealing glances at the other boil often and grinning happily, waving his glowing green bludgeon device in front of him like it was some kind of giant glow stick.

It wasn't too terribly long later that Alex was faced with giant creatures from hell, and he took a step backwards a little, even as Yin went in and smashed one over the head, causing it to EXPLODE.

WHAT THE JACK??

Alex, standing so close to Yin, got caught in the cross splatter and was suddenly drenched in gore. It wasn't all that different then the usual for him after just finishing a meal, but suddenly the use of the towels became very, very apparent.

But damned if all that blood and guts and brain didn't smell delicious!

As though his hunger moved him to be more corageous, Alex stepped forward to beat at one of the creatures himself. He gave one a firm wack on the head, only to have it dart in and bite him. Alex hissed, and snarled at the giant mole, his lip curling back. If anybody was to be doing any biting here, it would be the zombie!!

The creature dug it's teeth into her leg and she recoiled, slapping it on the nose with her taming stick before she whirled her head around, catching the sound of Riley and the smallest bit of pain, wiggling her leg out of the Molerat's grip to see what had happened to the other two.

She wasn't aware the ugly thing was following her around with a look of pure adoration on its face as she limped away from it, blood trailing down her leg. "What happened?" she asked, frowning and hoping that everything was still going alright for everybody else.

These things were nasty buggers, she needed to stay on her toes...

The hunchback blinked in confusion as the ugly little rat thing started showing utmost adoration for his new little friend. He made a sympathetic noise in his throat, patting Mort on the shoulder as his own mole rat gnawed on his arm. One more good thwack and the thing reeled, stunned.

Well, that was one down... one more to go, right? Then they could explore?

Danny had stayed back, idly chatting with Yin and Alex when the teacher came. She was busy playing with her amazing glowy stick (seriously, Danny thought this was the coolest s**t since fire, and fire was pretty damn cool as it is), and then the teacher revealed the molerats.

So ... they basically just got to hit things for fun? YES PLEASE.

With no hesitation in her steps whatsoever, Danny ran over to the molerats and began whacking one right on the side. He didn't look to happy, but Danny didn't notice. She just kept whacking.

The molerat was not pleased. It bit her on the arm, but that just made Danny hit it back even harder. It was impossible to decide which of the two combatants was stupider.

Danny now noticed that Yin had exploded one off to her right. Unholy s**t- they exploded too? Best day ever. BEST DAY EVER.

"ALRIGHT YIN!" she cheered, waving her arms around.

The molerat took the time she was distracted to attack her. It bit her arm rather heavily, leaving a little puncture wound. Danny hissed with the pain and threw the taming stick into her other hand. In one swift movement the stick had switched hands and she was whacking the molerat on the side. Take that stupid thing!

She only STOPPED whacking when the thing stopped attacking. It seemed to just sort of ... stand there, awestruck of her presence. "Err ... wasn't its head supposed to explode?" Danny wanted more explosions pls. :C

Another look of those fangs made him antsy, though not fast enough hot react when the rat chomped down again. More as a reflex than actually thinking, Mort gave it another smack.

At first it looked ready to pass out. And then the overgrown thing began to eye him with . . . with adoration. "Er . . ." A little annoyed, the rat got a forceful shove away with his foot, though it continued to look at him with expectation and . . . were those hearts in its eyes? "That supposed happen?" he asked the professor, not liking the look.

Well, at least one down?

He glanced at Christof to see his progress, wishing he could bulk up. Maybe he could ask him where he got the parts . . . Or were they natural? Mrrrrr. "What mutated from, y'think?" he asked, apparently not having gotten the message that the igor was less than talkative.

Moira turned from her own battle - she had a small retinue of adoring molerats now - to flash a thumbs-up at Mort. "Just as planned!" she called out. A molerat jumped at her from behind, but one of her headcrabs leapt at it with a screech, landing on the creature's back and disorienting it long enough for the zombie to get in a firm smack with the taming stick. "Naughty, naughty~!"

With a predatory growl Yin advanced toward the mole-rat-creature-mutant that had attacked his bonded. But another blocked his path and he ended up lashing out at it. This creature, like Alexander's had been, was feisty, and it bit him in retaliation. "Are you okay Alexander?" He questioned as his focus was divided between the two. He looked mostly fine, but he had suffered an injury. And these creatures were no getting between Yin and someone that he wanted very much to protect, which was rather frustrating.

Christof hauled up the rat creature, brows narrowed as he tried to analyze it's Parts... nooooo no it was definitely... just... an ugly hairless thing. He dropped it again, and tried not to step on it as it ran around his feet excitedly. Turning to Mort, he gave a hunched shrug, raising his hands to illustrate buck-teeth and round mouse ears with all three hands. Could be anything, honestly. For all he knew, they could be the manifest fear of just... ugly rodents.

Suddenly another shadow leaped from the darkness, clamping onto one of his fingers and *refused to let go*, no matter how hard he shook.

Mort barked a laugh at the pantomime, probably increased in volume due to Moira's response. They were supposed to make the rats lovey-dovey at them?

And then a rat nibbled on his elbow, which promptly made him decide that lovey-dovey was far better than getting eaten. Whacking the creature away, he inched closer again to Christof, wincing at the new passenger on the igor's finger. "Mrrr, w-want help?" he asked tentatively, unsure of how the boil would take it.

"I--I'm fine Yin!" Alex shouted from between gritted teeth, though he tried desperately to sound cheerful as though this were still the best thing they could possibly be doing with their afternoon. No need to let Yin get worried over a little bite, anyways, right?

Though that growl that Yin had just let out did cause a shiver to tingle down Alex's spine..

"Are you ok?" He called back, while the damned mutant mole darted in and bit at Alex again. This time, however, Alex retaliated with another firm whack over the creatures ugly head with the taming stick.

It didn't explode but it suddenly just...stopped...and blinked at Alex with some strange look in it's eyes.

..........Weeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrd.....

It was probably fortunate that Alex had been so preoccupied with his own monstrous mole to contend with. If he'd seen Yin just get bitten he might have been more then a little upset.

I'm fine, she growled, aiming before another swing whizzed past her target. The miss was impressive, but the way it sunk it's teeth into the same shoulder once more was even more impressive. She sunk down to one foot, but there was no cry of pain this time. As agonizing as it is, any sounds she made this time were cut off from others.

"Alright, if you say so...." Shehk seemed calm enough about the matter until...

Another of the Molerats suddenly moved, digging its teeth aggressively into Shehk's nondominant arm, causing her to make A rather angry noise in retaliation before she smashed her taming stick against its side to knock it off of her am, hissing through her teeth.

Meanwhile her biggest fan just continued to stare at her adoringly. It looovveeedddddddd Miss Shehk so much, even if she was bleeding all over. Whoops.

At least Shehk was good enough to accept her answer, even if it wasn't true. She liked that about Shehk, it made her presence calming, even if the rest of the world was in chaos.

She took a deep breath, and picked up her mallet, flipping it around once before slamming it down directly on the molerat's head. The molerat was the one to drop down to one knee, and once it shook off the hit, it looked up at her with wide, adoring eyes, much like the one Shehk had was doing.

Wonderful. Riley mumbled sarcastically, as she moved on to pick a new target.

Apparently the weremantis was not very adept at gaining devoted followers. He brought the taming stick down again...and again got covered in brain matter, blood, and bits of flesh.

It was actually quite tasty, though he made sure to sneak that small bite of food when the professor was not looking. It had been stuck to his arm, what was he supposed to do?

The downside to carrying one's own towel meant that it had been caught in the blast, and now was covered in goo of its own, so he did not even try to clean himself up. He approached Alexander, eyeing the creature. "Yes, I am fine. Why has yours not exploded?"
