___Kirama silently flipped over the gourd in his current space (F1), still clearly simmering a bit under the collar and wholly uncomfortable working with the rest of his squadmates. Though their time together was ultimately short, he felt at home with Shadow at the helm, and Kumo and Miki at his side. Here? All of the sudden he felt like the outsider despite the others having been place into his space. He wasn't on par with Kumo, not anymore, but he also couldn't entirely be his charge. Shadow and Miki had people looking after them, Kumo was given a promotion. Kirama got a dysfunctional stopgap. Would they be expected to perform a similar task in the exams? Perhaps "could they" would be a better perspective. He couldn't help but wonder. What the upcoming experience was going to be like given the circumstances, and what it would have been like if the rug hadn't been yanked out from under him. To say they hadn't gelled under the rigors of Kumotake's exercise would be overly generous. Komo's attempt to fill his role was laudable, though he ended up being more enforcer than distraction. Though Kumo had specifically targeted Kirama to make the exercise harder, the Hyuga had still figuratively ended up dead from the standpoint of a war game - there wasn't really any doubting that. At the very least, three quarters of the squad were functionally wounded. They'd managed to pepper the Aburame into submission, but Kumo chose to relent momentarily. It had been quite clear in his bid to remove the Byakugan from the equation that this shouldn't have been enough to stop him.

Zion wanted to sit down for a second to catch his breath, but they hadn't won yet. Looking about he figured the this top corner was fairly well guarded with bombs, "Might be protecting something.. Or everywhere could be like this." He was happy his mentor was praising the fact that the team had managed to pin them down, albeit only for the moment and quite coincidental for it to be coordinated that both Kumo and Sukoso were pinned at the same time. As he walked to where he hoped a marked vase would be he took a moment to see where the team was moving, "Team... Maybe. Nothing starts easy does it? Just gotta keep doing my best and stay friendly I guess"

The fruit of the groups labor were as follows
Komo: Unfortunately for the Senju he'd find that the space of which he chose to search proved uneventful. There was nothing but emptiness in the area, the gourd not even housing kikaichu.
Kaneko: Her search aswell proved just as fruitless as the Senju's. An empty gourd with nothing but dusty air and to the north the cloud of Kikaichu a reminder of the event that had befallen her. Suffice to say there was one benefit of finding an empty gourd. There wasn't any of the spidery hellspawns to deal with.
Kirama: Hot and bothered aside his search would yield an empty gourd beneath the ground although there were signs of burrowing northward. In short it could be assumed he was likely adjacent to what was most likely a kikai surprise. Although he could remain at ease seeing as Kumotake in this instance seemed to have instructed his insect associates to restrain themselves.
Zion: Like Kirama would find signs of burrowing. In fact it was intense in how many burrows there were. Clear indicators of the the two gourds both he and Kaneko detonated. Even further he'd find that south of him there were more. If all the gourds were active it would have equated to being surrounded on almost all sides. South, southwest, southeast north. Traces of the burrows were strewn in all these directions made clear by the kikai that all gathered in bundles at these locations.
Kumotake at this point had freed one of his hands as the the kikaichu having eaten their way through all the woods chakra had turned it brittle. He then aptly used the index finger of this free hand sticking it in his ear and rotating it as if her cleaning it. Even his own Kikaichu's buzzing could become bothersome at times. Pulling out the finger with a pop a lone kikaichu flew out. "You know if you lot just stick to using your eyes you're never gonna find them."" their sensei said having gone from praising to patronizing on the flip of coin. Minuscule enough to retreat into Kumotake's body which was it's original form, slightly larger as a normal spider, and finally large enough to be ridden. It takes a full post to change in size, There's a cooldown of at least 1 full post, must be in physical contact.
•Adhesive Pores: Kumotake can now crawl or crabwalk creepily on all fours. When doing so he can climb flat surfaces and cling without the need for the water walking jutsu. Still, this is incredibly slow and inefficient for any purpose other than stealth. It's also incredibly unsettling to watch.
>Arach-nightmaria: Kumotake's Kikaichu having quite possibly absorbed the adverse twisted chakras of the former hellscape and now have, in their genetics, chakra traces of the beings who had once resided in the nightmare. Having evolved from the hellish ordeal placed upon them and unknowingly carrying terror within their genealogy they have developed the ability to produce fear inducing Genjutsu at the will of their host acting as the conduit for the molding of the necessary chakra rather than hand signs.

The gloves allow interaction with chakra structures and the pores on the gloves themselves can produce threading from each fingertip. The threading can then attach to structures allowing them to be manipulated by pulling them. These threads are not unlike chakra threads in strength but are clearly visible. When finger tips are brought together the produced threads can fuse into one leading to garrote wire like executions.

It'd miss, as would be expected, more likely than not breaking in the process of returning to earth. "Don't have to check that one again!" He called out, overly loud, returning the Aburame's jesting. A few broken gourds were more than worth it, and there wasn't really enough information for him to do more than tell where their new squad leader's bugs were. Wasn't like Kirama had anything other than his eyes to begin with, and arrows weren't going to flip the gourds over so he simply kept moving along the bottom of the board, away from the signs of burrowing (to E1). Stopping on his new home the Hyuga flipped his gourd and absentmindedly peered over to see what the others had come up with.
Komo wasn't giving up very easily, searching the next nearest area to him to the left that hadn't been searched yet. There wasn't much he could think of to change his attempts to search, at this point it felt as though the exercise has gone on for ages. Maybe he was just really hungry however.

Komo: A fruitless venture once again as Kumotake looked down at the Senju since he was so close. "Your warm if not pretty hot." He'd state before the final branches were getting read to be eaten through.
Kirama: His search to would yield nothing out of the ordinary. Just the simple clay bottom of a typical dried gourd.
At this point even Kumotake grew impatient. As he was still none too sure what the duo of Zion and Kaneko were up to. As unfortunate as it seemed Kumotake would take the initiative and rush the kikaichu's voracity as he broke free from his restraints. "Last chance. Meet up with me if you happen to find one within the next minute. Or you could just give up. I'm going to open the training hall for you lot before it gets infested too much with bright eyed punks." Behind him he would form the hand seal for an appropriate Kai and the boys Byakugan would come back to him as quickly as it went, though the method of dispelling was still kept somewhat discreet. ♚Noémi skipped her way through the fog, hand gripped to the bridge only to loosen when she saw the shape of her destination. 'Oh finally!' She thought with a small smile, pushing her way into the training hall. The sight of different people kicking and punching in various fashions told her she had found the right place. Her smile widened as she pulled the scroll from her obi, finding her own place in the room with a small banged up training dummy before rolling the scroll out in front of her. It was labeled to be only used by bigger people, more attuned with the earth in terms of mass... but she always had a knack for preforming taijutsu she shouldn't be able to. She made a challenge of it. How mass intensive could she go with her tiny frame?
'Ah yes, the first one. Ax kick. Using the heel to cause most of the damage, but with a logical enough motion to provide even footing should it miss. Basic. Effective.' She thought as emotion drained from her face, leaving it blank. She adjusted the dummy to her height so she could get a basic grasp for the technique, saving using it on a taller target for later. She took a slow and deep breath before she spread her feet out evenly and in line with her shoulders. She slid her right foot backwards momentarily before kicking it forward, foot raising as high as she could muster it before pulling it back down into the dummy. Her heel dug firmly into the flexible material. Like an ax firmly driven into the trunk of a tree. Lifting up slightly she freed herself from the dummy and let her foot slide back into place under her. 'Effective. Flawed but functional. More energy for harder impact. Wears muscles.' Mismatched eyes skimmed the scroll before nodding slightly and stepping closer to the dummy. 'Elbow up. Elbow down. Many possibilities. Smash elbow up into nose, drive down into shoulder. Basics first.' She told herself as her eyes deciding which part of the faux body would be effected by an elbow the most. The shoulder was obvious for the same reason as the heel. Positioning and general real estate were huge factors. Take out the shoulder you take out the arm. Against an average height opponent thought? 'Unlikely to reach. Gut? Later.' She scolded herself for letting her train of thought slip off tracks. Turning her attention back to the task at hand she slid her right foot forward before bending down slightly at her core before swiping her elbow upwards like an upper cut. before tightening her biceps and pulling her arm back down, her elbow digging into the dummy the same as her heal. The material giving just enough resistance to gauge effectiveness. Unsatisfied she repeated the motion this time letting her elbow hang in the air for an addition second before driving it down. 'Delay. More flexible.' She noted before stepping back from the dummy. With that out of the way she was ready to move onto what was labeled as stage two of the style. So far she was happy (or as much as her combat focused mind could muster) withe the first stage. She saw how open for switching up they could be, possible combos or follow throughs. For a style focused so much with being as hard and un-moving as stone, so far she saw it more like sand. 'Ah. There it is.' She thought simply as eyes traced the first move in stage two. Strength over speed seemed to be the focus of the first technique. Pushing muscles to create force by adding more mass instead of balancing with acceleration. 'Risky. big pay off if lands. Wide open if miss.' She thought before placing her hands lightly on the dummies shoulders, fingers gripping slightly as she bent her leg at the knee. Her muscles tensed as she took a slow inhale. Leaning forward slightly she drove her knee up into the dummies gut, a satisfying noise was her reward. Like the sound of smashing two rocks together. Placing her foot back on the ground she cupped her chin as her brows furrowed. 'Must have complete faith hit will land. Waving would create unacceptable amount of risk. Payoff acceptable. Likely to land in groin. Height issues.' She thought before dropping her hand. Palm has more surface area than fist. More likely to force air out. A twist in delivery would be more efficient, along with upwards angle. Should not be issue. Height no an issue.' She thought after reviewing the material. Rolling the scroll back up she placed it between her headband and obi, dropping the next scroll at her feet before stepping forward into striking range. Bending her arm she curled it into her side as her palm twisted bottom up. Eyes traced the dummy momentarily before picking where she would hit. Leaning forward she twisted at her core, pushing her right side further ahead as her arm spring out. her palm twisted back into regular position once the heel of her palm had made contact, fingers spread to cover more area as she pushed into the dummies stomach. The dummy listed slightly off the ground before landing a few inches back from its starting position. Her brows furrowed as she rubbed her wrist. 'Not careful might break wrist. Must get twist down correct or it will only be a risk. Stick to thrusting motion. Add in twist at later date.' She surmised before taking another deep breath. Things were moving fast, a positive sign. The style felt right to her from unmoving stone and moldable sand it came natural to the bee. He'd plop down nearby and wait, however, as he was interested in training and now needed Kumo to access it. Having an actual set of techniques at his disposal would be invaluable if only they could get to that point. For now he needed to catch his breath and re-regulate his chakra flow after... whatever the hell it was Kumotake pulled on him.

And just like that the time limit for the exercise ran out, Ban healed his woulds and stood up lighting a cigarette and walked over to the two remaining squadlings."Well, it looks like this training was a bust. I must have failed you as a teacher as some point in the 1 hour we met and for that I'm sorry. Though you're both still banned from training tell you go complete a punishment from the Mizukage." Ban then walked off after taking the jutsu orb he gave to Nymeria, looking for his other squadling he found her training away at some taijutsu."Looks like your working diligently." The holes that Noemi had put into him would be gone after his healing and it didn't seem like he was suffering any long term effects. Usually someone who loses that amount of blood would pass out. Though there were holes in his clothes.
(Either you guys are no longer interested in these characters or your just busy which both are fine. Either way if and when you return please head over to the Mizukage for a punishment mission/s. After completion you can return to the squad. Or not whatever you guys like...)

The trip from the office building towards the academy had given her time to think about her new status in the village. Her hands traced alongside the center of her headband attached to her waist. Maybe it would be a chance at redeeming her family and proving herself to the village but who was to really say? Maybe she was beyond redemption or was overthinking this whole thing? It was hard to say. By the time she had arrived at the academy grounds, Akoto forced herself to focus on learning jutsus. There would be time to mope later. She approached the front desk again and spoke in a very hesitant tone. "Ah, er, hi. I was wondering..." She began to twiddle with her fingers while gazing away from the judgmental eyes of the person looking at her. "I-Is there somebody around who can train a medical genin?...It's okay if nobody is here."
Fenrir slid back another gulp of rice wine from his favorite glass, glad that it seemed to be a slow day. Apparently the new Kazekage served him a blessing in disguise when he put up new missions on the board. Less time spent on training others was more time to indulge in his own hobbies, those mostly consisting of drinking, reading and writing whenever he wasn't trying to train himself up too. Lavender shaded eyes focused on the paper in front of him, his right hand placing his glass down while the left gently pressed against the tip of one of his two horns. "Looks like there are new graduates who are supposed to be grabbing headbands today...well, if I'm lucky they'll be directed towards those new missions." He murmured to himself, eyes flicking across the paper for any other information. Seemed like other than basic updates he had nothing else to read. Maybe I'll sharpen up a bit. Warm up some and undergo some missions for Kirigakure. Desk job is probably dulling the hell out of my combat sense. He thought, left hand moving from his horn to grab the rice wine bottle and fill his glass once more.
Then the door opened, and his hand twitched a bit when he was pouring, almost making him spill the drink. Looking up, he noticed a girl who couldn't have been over 13 yet, noticing the headband around her waist. That thing looks as brand new as it can get, still shines. Looks like I'm not as lucky as i think I am after all. The girls words were a bit...odd. Did she walk all the way from the Sero without thinking of what to say? It was as if she had just bumped into him on the street, noticing the twiddling fingers and shifted gaze. I can take it easy on her because of her age, but I wonder if she's really ready for this. He remembered the case of the girl with two lost limbs awhile back, another boy who was put in the hospital for an entire month due to chakra wounds, along with many more. It wasn't a forgiving line of work.
"Well, if you're learning on how to be a medic, you'd need to head over to the hospital. If you're looking to expand your arsenal with new techniques, you've come to the right place. " He told her, putting the drink down and leaning forwards in his seat, bringing his hands together and entwining his fingers in front of him. "This is the Ninjutsu building. I handle that, Eisejutsu, Fuuinjutsu, sensory techniques and I help new Genin get a grasp on their unique bloodlines as much as I can. Before I train you though, I'm curious. Are you wanting to focus on healing, supplementary, or offensive techniques? What are your strengths and shortcomings that you've noticed in the academy? It'll help me develop a successful training plan unique to you."

"O-Oh. I'm sorry." Akoto said as the man seemed to think that she wanted to learn how to become a doctor. She did, technically, but in another way that focused on chakra and the like. So she was at the right place but just used the wrong words like always. The small genin felt a little bad about wasting this man's time and energy answering her questions and made an embarrassed face while continuing to avoid his gaze. "I was interested in learning eisejutsu and my bloodline i-if it was possible. Do you have anything on Senju?" Her tone was soft and didn't exactly inspire a great amount of courage upon a first look. She continued to stand before the instructor and finally look at him properly with a good amount of doubt plaguing those light blue eyes of hers.
She took another moment to gaze around the place as she listed to the man go on about needing more specific things to go off of than "i want training." It made sense given the amount of genin that had once done the same thing she had just done. Wait, did she just try and lay some of the doubt around her to rest? That usually didn't happen. "I guess I should focus on defensive jutsu first and them the other two categories next. It only makes sense. Another few moments of silence passed while Akoto stared back down at her twiddling fingers while thinking out a game plan for herself. After that maybe Senju things if this guy can help. I guess that will do it. Akoto concluded before looking back at the instructor and looking slightly more confident in herself though it gave the appearance of being very forced. "Ah, I wanted to focus on defensive techniques first before the other two. I'm good at chakra control and have experience with some of my bloodline techniques because of my family here. My chakra natures are doton and suiton like most of my clan. Maybe focus on being more...not being such a downer. I don't like being the weak one." Akoto admitted while finishing her list of answers for the man. Hopefully it would be enough to begin.
Having left the Kage's office, not finding a trace of him there, even though he knew he had literally just seen him sitting there as he entered, Shuichi had recieved his headband. While he walked he fidgeted with the band. He hated to wear things on his head, but his glove had been made for this specifically. After tearing at the cloth, he removed the steel plating by extracting the rivets with his teeth. Then placing those pins above the duvets on his glove, he placed the plate atop it, tapping it into place. Tossing the remains aside, he looked up at where he had ventured too unknowingly.
"Dojo?" he said to himself, rolling his eyes. He looked about for some indication of exactly where he was in the training grounds, as they were split into several different areas. Ninjutsu, huh? he said, reading the signing around the walls. He had already learned his chakra type, katon, from his father's use of the element that had been a bloodline trait for years of their families smithing. Now, he would go inside, and begin practicing a deep exhale, channeling chakra into his lungs and continuing to breathe.

As he continued to breathe through this he would feel an intense heat upon exhale. While it mildly singed his lips he continued anyway. After several more minutes of this exercise a spark ignited before his face, then another then another. Resting for just a moment, he would exhale one last great breath. Upon this, a flame erupted from his mouth, only lasting for a moment, but it lit up the room which was dimly lit.
An instructor near by clapped, informing him that was the most basic of fire breathing, the flare technique. However, Shuichi already knew....his father had taught him well before his passing.
