Nothing is ever just black and white.
Saiken did away with Seina's earlier threatening presence upon him. Thought that brief moment of fear did envelop him momentarily it would eventually melt away into a grin that said 'you cheeky thing you.' However, Toso had decided to remain silent for the remainder of the trip and when Satoshi made headway with Bae in tow when they came to the borders of the land of lightening. Toso's tentacles responded negatively by flailing around him for a moment. That said he had chosen to keep his distance from everyone on the Prophet and ensured he would be the last to leave. Not disappoint his son ah, if only she knew how hollow that statement was. He'd already failed Satoshi. To fail him again would be irrelevant just as his praises would feed into Toso's selfish personal whimsical desire for a sense of 'closure' that he cared neither if it was given or not. Yes, truly Toso was a man with nothing to loose made all the more evident.
Toso sat in the corner of the prophet his head hung low, posture hunched. He'd weakly raise one of his hands as his tentacles did an uneasy dance. What was invoked would be a clone of himself, black, and sludge like. Ink and slime hodgepodged together to create a deformed facsimile of the ex-Arashikage. "Let us...Go" That statement while said alone carrying a harrowing tone almost as if asking to be let go while also indicating the time had come to move. The clone would obey as Toso would have Tako-buso open an entryway into Isekai-Junsei in which both entered. Only...just one would come out to present itself in the summit.
The door to the summit would open as a portal would open outside of it. Ushering the clone to make an exit it would and the dimension would close. The clone so clearly a clone in appearance would open the door and enter. Messily black and ichorous did this clone step across the floor eyes expressionless and slightly dripping. Whether it was out of cowardice or other emotions Toso's clone would fill in his place at the summit and would respond in accordance. There wasn't much threat to be expected of a clone and any discernment into its composition would reveal just how little effort was put into creation discerning its construction being a piddly numerically charted five on the scales of measuring potency. Although..it was a five not in Toso's own chakra but none other than the Rokubi's.
Toso himself true to form having delivered his clone would return to the Prophet and find the same crate coated in slime he sat on previously. Placing a hand his face as if trying to fight a painful migraine. Kenshin's guards would make note of this and send all the information regarding to Kenshin himself but for the purpose of meeting a clone would likely suffice. If Kenshin were to take insult to this stand in he'd know where to find the real one but if the measly clone were destroyed they would simply have to proceed without Toso or likely forcibly apprehend him themselves. For all its bells and whistles, breaking into the Citadel was easy for Takumi. By coating herself in Nature Chakra, she was easily able to circumvent the security set up by Lord Kenshin. Once inside, it was a simple jutsu to hide her presence from the guards. All the Jashinist needed to do was follow the flow of the guards, it wasn’t hard to find the room the Kage summit was being held in. Takumi didn’t know what exactly the context was, but a shinobi causing trouble was enough of a cover for her to slip inside. The Citadel Guards would come and go, and Takumi would hang back. Simply placing herself against the wall, watching the fools bicker amongst themselves. How childish the rules of this world were.
“Just like the shinobi.” She said, eventually bringing the attention in the room to her. “To be playing at diplomacy without a care in the world. While the pawns-” Takumi casually tossed a body onto the table. Crimson with blood and riddled with holes, the limp form of Kameyo hit the table with a crash. “Get sacrificed.”
Miyuki let her gaze simmer on Musica for a few moments, but she didn't want to ease the young kunoichi's anxiety just yet. She wasn't feeling particularly kind in the face of being here and knowing she would have to deal with Satoshi's brand of chaos. Instead, she looked around the room with an unreadable expression. Her team wouldn't have arrived with her because so many of her shinobi had left the village with Kenshin. "Where is Lady Kameyo?" Her tone sounded, but she fixed Musica with a sharp look.
People filled into the summit and Miyuki exchanged formalities, though she was rendered mute at the appearance of Satoshi. A cat had her tongue until Kenshin berated the war criminal until acting appropriately. The sight of him soured her tongue and she changed tact with Musica. "Musica, I am glad I could trust you to do this mission." Her tone may not have sounded genuine, but she looked to Musica more kindly. She really did need all the people she could trust, given the internal disintegration of the APD happening as she was sitting in this room to discuss a looming, global apocalypse. She looked to Satoshi with annoyance at his offer, but she didn't have an answer, either. What was the most ethical path?
Her thoughts were interrupted.
She rose to her feet instinctually as Toso stepped in, poised out of habit to bow for him, but his vacant, drippy expression kept her still after she stood. "Stay close to me," she said to Musica, though it was a redundant command given that her team would be by her side regardless throughout the summit.
And then the Jashinist leader arrived with Kameyo in tow, limp and lifeless. Her mouth fell open but nothing came out. The bloodied advisor, the woman she still needed to make amends for - I'm sorry I replaced your probably dead husband, she'd planned to say after her confirmation as Kage - was a victim of violence after her commitment to pacifism and change. She was so still and bloody, rendered red and lifeless like a slain scarlet ibis. "So," she spoke without taking her eyes off of Takumi's unfeeling ones, "is this the part where we bond over a common enemy?"

▱▰▱When Takumi appeared and approached the Citadel's inner wall through the outer wall and Tenseisora, the natural energy alerted two guard towers. The massive gates were closed and sealed instantly and barred access to the palace. Once Sumika had left the inner wall it was easy to seal the door. The skyguards activating their various byakugan and searched around the perimeter. Takumi's identity was obscured but the natural energy itself was revealed to their ocular prowess. "Exit sage mode now or you will be taken into custody!" The guard captain shouted as the guards took protective stances. They assumed that the natural energy usage was more of Sumika playing around and they were prepared to escort her through the outer wall by force if necessary.
▱▰▱A message was sent to the Lord Commander immediately through one of the inner wall skyguards alerting the palace skyguards. A guard would approach Kenshin and whisper in his ear informing him that their intel suggests that Sumika was horsing around outside of the palace but they sealed the walls and told her to stop using nature chakra. Kenshin would assume that this was correct and simply affirmed that she needed to be removed. She doesn't know when to give up. The Lord Commander noted but was not alarmed enough to inform the other leaders. Since his guards sealed off the inner wall and already detected the natural energy that it would be fine.

Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.
Iksin's annoyance at the explosive sound of the Tanuki who seemed to speak loudly through the hall was clear. If others around didn't realize that the white haired man was just as annoyed by the situation as just about anyone else in the room would be. Koharu's spoken words of thinking the demons should just disappear were not held against her. At least not by Iksin. The demons were the embodiment of everything the young, white haired tamer of animals hated about the gods as a whole. Practically divine beasts, sent by Jashin, weakened and locked away on their planet by the other gods. Rage building in his mind as he thought about it. The small projection of Shukaku sitting on the table seemed to fade in and out due to this. A mixture of Iksin's rage seeming to take more control over his own chakra than Shukaku's. "OI! KID! STOP TRYING TO SILENCE ME!" The tanuki's form shouted, turning and pointing at Iksin as he continued to fade in and out.
It seemed that most of the focus had been on the other disruption at the summit though. Iksin's attention wasn't necessarily pulled over towards it but it was being observed. In fact Kenshin's attentiveness to everything around him came as a bit of a surprise to Iksin. Kenshin addressed Shukaku's outburst and even analyzed him despite still dealing with the disruption of Satoshi, the Amekage. Kenshin's speaking on the matter at hand would cause the Tanuki to begin to speak as well after he finished chiding Satoshi.
"AYE! PO-" However he was quickly distracted. The same thing that seemed to distract Kenshin, the guards, and whoever else it would distract. The projection of Shukaku had become more clear, less faded. It's attention drawn to the seat at the table of Konohagakure. Iksin's own attention quickly moving to the table as well. Someone at Konoha activated Sage Mode. The guards, Kenshin, and now Iksin were on alert. Iksin couldn't tell who or where, but it was weird. It was something that Iksin pretty much attained for the pure power that came with it. Something that allowed him to take on beings he once might not have been able to alone. Suddenly in front of him, a woman appeared. Prodding at the projection of Shukaku. To which Shukaku seemed to immediately become distracted once more. "AHAAHAHAHAHA. YEAH! HE IS PRETTY UGL- AYE! I DON'T WANNA HEAR NO INSULTS ABOUT MY ESTEEMED SELF FROM A MERE COPYCAT!" The voice of the Tanuki boomed once more, before Iksin looked at her confused as well although keeping his attention at the Konoha table through other means. 'What the hell is a Sumikage...' Iksin thought to himself, unsure if this was a ninja village that he hadn't heard of before. As far as the new to the shinobi world jonin was concerned he had no reason to not believe her.
However she rather quickly outted herself, she was the source of the sage chakra currently flowing into the air around her. Iksin's full attention shifted to her now, her words the exchange between her and the Ivory Lord. He understood her sort of view in a way, however he didn't necessarily agree with it. His glance shifted ever so slightly towards Musunde, but only for a moment. Another version of himself might have spoken in defiance and to stir things up even more. But even if he wanted to, he also felt that it was plenty stirred from the others.
One disturbance was soon gone. Honestly it made Iksin feel a bit better about Shukaku's own disturbance. Shukaku's voice boomed once more. "THAT IS WHAT THAT COPYCAT GETS! YAHA!" The small projection of Shukaku looked towards Kenshin who had addressed him earlier. "AYE! POPS' LITTLE MINIONS DID SOMETHIN TA MY ESTEEMED SELF AND MY SISTER LITTLE FIVE!" The beast shouted out to Kenshin. "IF WHAT YOU'RE GONNA DO IS AGAINST THEM I'M FOR IT!"

Things were loud and it was increasing so Nami didn't wish to introduce herself. It wasn't long until Lord Kenshin and the woman who called herself Sumika got into a bit of a heated debate and it seemed that everyone was nit-picking on each other. With a shake of her head, she walked towards Unki as Satoshi started to talk horribly towards her Empress and knelt down to one knee by her side, her hand grasped Unki's hand, "We're here, Empress. Ignore him." She said with a soft smile as she nodded towards Unki's husband, to remind Unki that Shiro and Nami, herself, was here for Unki. With a soft squeeze, she removed her hand and stood back up and behind her, wondering when they would stop trying to anger each other and go back to the matters at hand?

We should let him make comments and jokes about our family, and accept them like good punching bags we've been lately," she said sarcastically. At least Kenshin was giving Satoshi more warnings about being 'inappropriate,' Sumire exhaled slowly to remind herself that Musunade, probably, doesn't want them to be causing problems. She leaned towards Seiichi's ear, "Steady... we're here for you. I'll get you some dumplings and sweets after this." Sumire winked towards Seiichi, still really proud of him.
Kenshin finally got the point and that he wanted to purify the tailed demons that were in their nations. Last Sumire remembered, there was no tailed beast for Land of Iron. Why were they even here? Knowing that she should not make Musunade's life harder, she just started to visualize Satoshi's head, dead, on a silver platter, in her bedroom.

With all due respect, I feel that some have forgotten restraint, poise, and respect when in the halls of another nation... that goes for the demons too.", she said as she shot a glare at the projection of the Shukaku, and then at each of the Jinchuriki. She was a Sage of the Human Path, following in Evergreen's Divine Truth so none of the foul energies of Jashin's ilk escaped her senses. "Those accompanying your respective leaders are simply escorts. Eyes open, mouths shut... Because let's face it, none of our opinions matter in affairs such as these. Your petty bickering amongst one another is just ignorant, childish, and if I were in charge of any one of you, I'd send most of you home... Demons included.", the priestess said as she finished chiding the room. Young, but she had an aura of wisdom and tradition about her.
Koharu then stepped to the side, and waved the small branch like a fan over herself, as an act of ceremony before looking to Kenshin and then bowing low in a sign of humility. "I am sorry for my outburst, but my convictions demanded me to speak, Lord Hyuuga.", she said in her usual airy voice of pure calm. She then took her place beside Usagi once more with her head bowed low and silence on her lips. The Priestess had spoken how she felt, but she could not help but feel like more should have been said, like she could honestly deliver a sermon on the act of being humble to this lot if she were given half the chance.

The summit had hardly begun before it seemed like s**t was hitting the fan. Usagi sat forward, leaning her face in her hand, as she watched things play out. Something tugged on her senses however, and the woman mentally prepared herself. The Kage felt the pull of Nature Chakra on her senses from somewhere in the room. Usagi prepared to activate her own Sage Mode, a mental exercise that was equivalent to placing a hand on a weapon, in case a fight broke out. But before anything truly momentous happened, the lord of the castle brought all shenanigans to a halt. Usagi let out a quiet breath, releasing the tension in her neck, as one of the Konoha shinobi was escorted out of the summit room. “Lady Hokage,” Usagi drawled, a playfully taunting smirk playing on her face. “D’you think you could keep your pets on a leash for me? I’m rather fond of my personal space.”
Of course, no sooner had she laid her taunt, then did someone in her own group begin acting up. Koharu’s little speech wiped the smirk from Usagi’s face and instantly replaced it with an expression of irritation. “Koharu.” Usagi started, sternly. It wasn’t like the Tanikage was friends with the one tailed demon. But the blonde woman was never one for traditional, hindering social constructs. “Now’s not the time to be enforcing some out of date social hierarchy. If someone here has power or information that’s useful, then they should be permitted to speak. We’re well beyond stupid things like the difference between Kage and subordinate with what’s at stake. Shukkau is on our side and, more importantly, he’s a member of Tanigakure.”
“But if that outburst is how you feel-” Usagi made no movement, aside from shifting her eyes to the young follower of Evergreen. “Then I suggest you lead by example and keep your mouth shut, or I’ll send you back to Tani myself. Understood?” The Tanikage crossed her arms over her chest and turned her attention back to the astral projection of the man in the dungeons. "If you need some help moving the Kyuubi into a new host, I'm sure I could give ya a hand, Lady Hokage."
It must have been the beast tamer in her, but when the Tanikage offered to help seal Kyuubi, Chouka perked right up. While she had no doubts about the Tanikage's strength overall, her sealing abilities were supposed to be unmatched. She wanted to see that in action more than anything, but it would have been inappropriate of her to pressure the idea. She was supposed to be showing restraint, since she had a rough reputation with the TPD after taming a Minotaur and breaking a few rules in the process. "Will it be safe to seal something like that here?" Her question wasn't out of genuine concern for safety, but she wanted to see how likely it was that a bijuu sealing would actually happen.

Coda watched the troublesome puppeteer emerge from the summit not long after the Konoha group entered, black eyes tracing the woman’s path until it intersected with Sadayo’s clone once more. “Guess that’s my cue to hit the road.” She said, a snap of her finger sending the bat Sumika placed on the child’s shoulder inside back to the sage lands. “It’s probably best the village not be left without everyone higher ranked than Jonin while you deal with this Masato situation. Please be careful, ma’am.” As always, it was tough to place the sincerity of Coda’s words amid the constantly slightly annoyed tone that delivered them. They carried a certain air of exasperation even without her emphasizing it. This did present an interesting opportunity though, to establish her cover in the village. Elsewhere, Cadence set off as well from her spot in the tavern. The bickering of the kage was of little use, but from her perspective Kenshin’s lack of interest in the damage he left in his wake meant establishing the jinchuriki as a distinct member of the village would be easier. Coda’s hood flicked up as she set the thoughts aside for the road ahead and started down the path after the misguided puppeteer.

The pleasantries were nice. After ostracizing himself from the Shinobi world for so long, Musunde found himself missing the company of their type. That wasn't to say that he was dissatisfied with his life in Zaishin, but it didn't take any explanation to know how different the social environment was over there. After a brief conversation with Shiro, he was pleasantly surprised to see Seiichi arrive as his first attendant. "No worries, Seiryu-san. We're hardly the last to show up, so consider yourself well on time." He responded kindly to the boy's formal gesture, prompting him to sit with a slight movement of his own. Towards the end of his sentence, gold eyes settled on the chair beside him. He was hardly familiar with the Amekage, but what little he heard was never good. He had Crow-eye to thank for the golden dragon, but the innocent lives lost in that man's initial encounter with Zaishin hinted at psychotic tendencies.
The Shogun paused for the briefest moments when the young swordsman continued speaking, processing the compliment before laughing sincerely. In all the impressions he'd picked up, never did he think the boy beside him would be so bold as to compliment him unprompted. It was so unexpected that the laugh was born purely of embarrassment. "Thank you. With the gates of Zaishin opening to the Shinobi again, I figured I should finally start dressing in more..." He stopped to reflect on the suits and uniforms he wore throughout his first month tending to Zaishin's issues. Nothing he'd typically wear even before taking the throne, but something to signify that things were changing. It worked as far as he was concerned, but he was all too happy to finally re-commission Seizo's old tailor for a new outfit. "...appropriate attire." He finished his sentence with a sigh of relief, glad that he could return to something familiar.
He intended on answering Seiichi's last comment about his meetings with the other leaders, but the one who gathered them all together finally started speaking with more authority than earlier. It would've been nice to reassure his attendant further, but all he could give at that time was a meaningful nod, turning to provide Kenshin with his full attention right after. What he saw following the Sentinel's hand seal confirmed some of his fears going into the summit. Not that he knew anything was happening to Kurama's host, but that there'd be some reveal that required all world leaders present to show. Several Hokage's years over benefited from the help of the Kyuubi, which was common knowledge. It'd already be quite impactful to inform Konoha's leader that Kenshin had placed their most vital weapon in that situation. Still, Sadayo's expression wasn't even trying to hide that there was something more. She wasn't being told all of this on equal footing; no, she was doing it with a blade pointed at her from every world leader. Maybe that byproduct of the summit was unintended, but it didn't look like it.
The Hokage's situation aside, only Seiichi and the newly arriving Sumire might have picked up how Musunde almost deflated watching the scene that Kenshin projected. There was no denying the power put on display mixed with sheer wrath and the legend of holding Kurama. Withholding strengths from other villages be damned, he knew that he would get his head torn off if he went down there to use the Demon Sanction technique.
Part Two: Child's Play
The Amekage - in a display that the Shogun could only describe as gaudy - stood atop the center table for his grand entrance. When a perfect opening for Musunde to interject presented itself, the cacophony of caws and laughter impeded him in his tracks. In the mishap regarding his missing hand that followed, Musunde took the chance to examine the infamous Shinobi pirate's weapon. While the possiblity of his weapon of choice being a katana was already strange, even weirder were the dimensions of the blade. One unfortunate situation stacked on top of the other, as the next to approach Musunde was another clan head from Zaishin, Sumire. While he'd usually appreciate the added company from another one of his attendants during the summit, he knew from reports that she wasn't exactly thrilled with the Amekage's previous exploits in the Iron Country. When he invited her to tag along, he did it without the knowledge that they'd be sitting right next to the glorified mass murderer and with the hope that he'd reign in his ridiculous tendencies somewhat. While he didn't know the contents of the "gift" that the Lightning country received from Crow-eye, he could read into the context enough from Shiro's reaction to learn that the criminal's introduction dashed any hopes Musunde had for him.
"I wouldn't dare harbor any hard feelings towards you, Hojo-san. After all, the gift left behind by your mother helped guide my path after my father died." He started, giving a seemingly sincere, closed-eyed smile to the Amekage's ennobled lapdog to acknowledge her presence as well. Realistically, their mannerisms for such an event were found distasteful by the Shogun, but not nearly as repulsive as whatever rot the former pirate captain was guzzling down between every sentence. Musunde's amber gaze softened, and he returned his attention to Satoshi, the previous smile being pulled further in one direction to take on a bitter smirk. "Who knows what path I could've treaded without her help. I could've even wound up as a mad, pitiful excuse for a son." Some venom managed to seep into the overly-familiar tone unintentionally, but Musunde didn't care to hang on to that thought any further. Proving that point, he happily switched his avenue of conversation when a somewhat familiar voice called out to him. Not in a title he particularly appreciated, but he hardly admired the one using it anyways. It took him a moment to recognize the one speaking to him, and Musunde had to wonder if the picture he had in his memories was accurate, but he was sure he was talking to that wanderer from a month back.
"Oh. You wound up joining a village, huh? From what I know of you, Tanigakure is undoubtedly a perfect fit. I hope you're happy with your-" The unrestrained yelling of a disembodied voice had the Shogun cringing in response, killing the movement of his hand from the friendly wave it was going to attempt. One outburst seemed to lead to a chain reaction, and it wasn't long before a series of following acts occurred.
Part Three: Demon Sanction
Naturally, he caught Seiichi's retort to the Amekage in the chaos, but his eventual response didn't address the boy. Nor did it address the lord who scolded him. No, he instead turned his attention to the Mahofu clan's leader. "The Seiryu's discrimination is a result of the decisions they made, just as the many lives lost by the samurai as a whole were at the fault of the Shogun, not the Shinobi. You don't need to defend him from the consequence of his convictions, especially not from someone who has never wronged us." He stated firmly, holding his gaze to Sumire's. He was aware of her distaste towards him and knew her reasons were valid. Still, he couldn't afford to play nice anymore in his position, especially when it came to the growth of someone with bountiful potential like the Seiryu before them. "Seiryu-san," Musunde called for the young swordsman's attention and expected it promptly, turning his gaze towards him. "The time and place of your battles are just as important as the fights themselves. If you want to restore the Seiryu name, consider these things before you embarrass your clan by running in with your hakama half-tied." It would've been nice to add more. To say that taking the first step into the battle itself spoke to a sign of courage that the weak could never muster. Seiichi was no fool, Musunde surmised, so he knew that the samurai could eventually figure out the words that went unsaid.
"Now..." He placed his hands against the table before him and raised himself into a standing position as the Tanikage also finished scolding her attendant. Following up on her words, he finally said what he'd been deliberating on ever since seeing the Kyuubi in its present state. "I can also offer assistance when it comes to Konoha's demon. Sealing isn't my forte, but I can certainly help speed up the process to get there." With that said, he placed his right hand over his heart, scanning his eyes across the room to make sure he had the attention of his fellow kage's. Hell, just Kenshin's would suffice.
"It's not a tile I'd regularly place on the board, but I know that this is more important than maintaining secrets. I can perform a technique that immediately severs Bijuu's from their hosts on contact. You'll need to get someone else to perform the extraction, but it should cleanly divide them. I can also absorb the rest of the chakra from the Kyuubi using the same technique. It's painful on their part, of course, but it looks like that's already a harsh reality for the man you have down there." He explained, hoping he described the ability well enough. There were other functions, but he only gave up what was necessary at the time. A sigh eventually broke his apparent confidence, and he had to fight not to hang his head.
"I'll need to touch your friend down there directly for it to work, though. So if I could have some help with that, I'd appreciate it. I'm not unarmed or anything, but I didn't come here expecting to play demon tag with a guy twice my size and infinitely more upset."

Soyeon was as comfortable as ever just sitting in her beloved's lap, her head underneath of his skull. She was of a good mind to go and start showering him with affection during this boring setup before the leader of the event would scold her for her choice of seating. Before the minister could go about chewing this boy out for his choice of not having any bitches, a guard would be present to bring a seat that came to rest besides Satoshi. With minimal effort, Soyeon was moved outside of the lap of her beloved and into the chair before marching off to go do...Whatever guards did. She gave a pout to the leader of the bunch but dared not to speak ill against him. Satoshi had skirted so much, and she would be damned if they would throw her out for less than he had done. Her hand came to rest on his leg underneath the table while listening to the banter of the room. All was going well until the Seiryu representative would rise and let his peace be known for the room to hear. Of course, like any dutiful consort of her kage, Soyeon would be perturbed over that little outburst from the Seiryu of all people. "Oh, dear. The Seiryu child's gotten himself in such a fit." she joked to Satoshi before then leaning forward to Seiichi in an antagonizing and teasing voice. "Such big words from a petite little Seiryu, Shogun. Couldn't get the Head to show and had to get his little girlyboy instead?~" she teased the two one one, before Kenshin would interrupt the tirade again and tell him to quiet down. Soyeon stuck her tongue out playfully and continued being a good girl by Satoshi's side.
"It's good to see Kurama still is with us." Son Goku would speak to her, Soyeon's eyes trailing down towards her stomach briefly at the seal that had been placed on her as a child not so long ago. "I could care less about that jinchuriki of the Leaf, but it's interesting to see all of your siblings here." she thought for a moment. "Do you think that anybody knows that you're inside of me now, Son Goku?" A huff came as a response, though Soyeon couldn't tell if it was one that was amusement or pity. "I wouldn't be surprised if the leaders here knew, but you and subtlety aren't exactly well acquainted." she rolled her eyes but bit her tongue to keep from smirking too hard. He did have a point, although Soyeon was known for a small number of things, and keeping a low profile came right after mercy kills.
Outside: Sadayo's clone wholeheartedly rolled her eyes and scoffed against Coda’s tone. She sensed tension.
"Spare me," Coda's previous remark that scrapes at the Fire shadow's judgment was not without a biting reply. "spare me from your perpetual doubt." All the excitement and stress pulling Sadayo on all ends, it wasn't too hard to feel on the verge of snapping from criticism. She shook her head and pressed her thumb and forefinger against the pink burning sting of her brow. The showy display of discontent sustained by a firm, impartial return.
She dropped her hands to her hips. ” I was tasked with leading the Intelligence branch before taking Lahlil’s position and being a bleeding heart wasn’t why she hired me. Intelligence is my business and conversations don’t come without caution and care.”
Coda’s trailing statement didn’t fall on a clueless Sadayo. Although Coda’s ambitions were generally uncharted to the Fire shadow, the inked operative was capable of gathering intelligence but her interests in the tracking and assassination raised question when the operative seemed to excel in one skill other the other. Coda wouldn’t be the first to touch on ideas to press ideas into the previous Director of Special Operations changing out leadership and planting promotion considerations. Coda certainly wouldn’t be the last. Yet, when the incidents Sadayo put up with while beside Coda rubbed her like there was something looming between them. “I’d send Intelligence to learn and teach me the devil’s dance. When I want those demons dead I’ll send my hunters to retrace the dance and cut them down. But I guess you’re different. Although, without trust to be swayed to think you’d support me in a crisis.” Trust was what she wanted established before any titles could move forward. The special ranks, and certainly so EDA "the branches of their tree" and its forerunning hand would be someone Sadayo would expect some level of loyalty from. How could she comfortably return loyalty, after all?
“Right." she groaned as Coda left. Behind the inked operative Sadayo's stare was dry. Her choice of dialogue was interesting at times. " Which is why I have a whole village at work.” The clone sighed wearily. She hunched and drooped her neck forward before she broke into smoke.
Inside: Honestly, Sadayo was maybe just a couple of the handful of “weaklings” who subdued Shukaku ten years ago. Kyomei the ex-exorcist came to mind as the biggest player with her tricks. Her only non-Shukaku witness to the springboard event that spiraled the One-tail in a lackluster decade- if the man were himself- would be Masato. The beast's shrill, obnoxious cackle was frankly overstuffed with pride as if the sand behemoth never had a bad day in its pompous existence.
With the noise among nations escalating, Sadayo could’ve sworn she heard Sumika chiming in behind her. But with larger concerns the young woman’s antics were missed. It was just minutes- if not seconds in- and the room wouldn’t stop talking. To Kenshin, her ratifying reply on the severity found in protecting two assets of the new Leaf was clear but rattled.“I understand.” She wasn’t interested in slipping before the other leaders. Pressure from an honest lack of foresight (among other things) made the art of staying steady harder than should be. But naming a host was just one obstacle that still needed narrowing down. She showed such outwardly with arms folded behind her cape and a stern, yellow stare back onto the tablecloth.
Meanwhile the room was nearly content with plenty spouting bitter sentiments since clawing at the others throats was apparently out of the question. Satoshi, even, still had her on edge with his own carefree sentiments as an offer to wipe out whole groups for her. No bobble of ponytails to underscore her repulse. Just yikes. Her thoughts concisely derailed on a whim. If this was some chance a relaxed honest degenerate offering sick favors for family then just what bloodline had her own uncalculated relations roped herself into? She dreaded the thought.
Her expression could only sour, furrow and it wasn’t all just Satoshi’s conversing. So much discourse in one room. The woman’s attention finally piqued with a stern, direct demand from their host. As if it wasn’t already a struggle to focus with every other party harping Sadayo’s line of thought derailed when an issue of dramatic, imposing energies revealed itself to be in her party. In the end, a brief subject of Kenshin's ire was the unpredictable genin and Sadayo was really all too wrapped up to be angry. She was stunned. Her stare bouncing between Kenshin and turning to Sumika behind her in some effort to piece some sense of understanding where the sage powers of cheeky rodents were assisting in more havoc. The one thing she asked her group not to do when the climate of the room was already heating with preceding ire. Even another shadow was commenting on the matter and Sadayo couldn’t rightfully object to anything. ”I'm sorry,” she expressed aloud to Usagi, their hosts, and to the room. “I overestimated that genin’s ability to show restraint. I fear she doesn’t fully understand what she has and I have allowed it to get out of hand.” Her apology did not go without a bow of her head. No ponytails to flounce beside her cheeks and hide what stray comment quickly breaking in as a whisper. "I have…” Her focus narrows again. Doting sentiments brushed aside for the name and a face now for a new host. “I have a demigod to save."
Usagi speaks. It was lifting a feeling as her attention set to the young valley shadow. She seemed relaxed in contrast. Here for a moment, Sadayo was half-hearted on the wonder if she’d be standing on this alone. Musunde follows suit quickly after. It was an unexpected, neighborly gesture. A good footing toward something where Leaf might find themselves returning the favor somehow. Hearing leaders of Valley and Steel extending themselves wasn’t fully expected, really. In the partially frazzled state of mind it wasn’t easy to grasp her own preparedness. She had the sealing know-how herself and some details left unspoken still in her disposal. “Hmm.” With things finally going to go into motion, Sadayo stood too. Her sights quickly take in the Shogun’s ornate appearance as she entertained the twice my size concern. The comment might have stirred a smile in another place in time. She was, after all, in a similar boat being smaller than her adult peers at home. “Might not make you feel better but your height looks about to match him. But, I’m afraid you might look awfully willowy beside him.” it was fair to feel her if one found her commentary was just missing the mark of comfort.
Although whatever spared Sadayo from disclosing her puppets only if the sealing was going to be broadcasted was welcomed. Warmly. This time, risking humility almost unbefitting of her title, Sadayo bowed her head again. Just a dash of reserved stoicism in her reply probably saved her from fully losing face. In short she was grateful and had to sound the part. “Nevertheless, thank you, your cooperation would be highly regarded. I’m able to fulfill the transfer myself but Masato is basically two-hundred pounds of refined, unbottled rage who knows-” her explanation was swept up in a pause as she recalled a display of combined fury “-very well how to work with Kurama. Outside of the fox’s resources, his physical abilities aren’t something I’d like to be on the receiving end of.” Sadayo couldn’t help but sigh against a weary feeling festering from the thought of what was ahead of them. The bottled dread of being mistaken, targeted, and the norm taking a hazardous flip had to be leveled out with a lengthy breath. She withdrew from her spot at the table with a turn fluttering the velvety silken folds of her cape. Leaving her titular headwear behind on the table to mind an empty seat. From feeling anywhere among anxious to firm then unsettled to fine didn’t sit well. Solidifying her emotional state inside, behind the wavering looks on her face, wouldn’t be easy until this deed was done. On the outside it was another attempt to harden her expression to something harsh, outside of a deadpan look. “Mina, Miki,” Even her tone was taking to sounding harsh. “I have to ask you both to come with me. You aren’t required to get involved unless it is necessary but you can be our voice to the outside here. If we need it.” It was her direction before taking some steps further away from the table. Her intentions were announced slowly and loudly,“i’m going to fetch the candidate.” With her back to the party, she summoned someone in front of her clothed in a dark attire from a specialized division back home. A willowy figure with a mask obscuring their apparent surprise. There was a brief, quiet exchange between Shadow and operative that ended with the summoned guest giving a deep nod. With a heavy heart, one which Sadayo was choosy in showing with a pensive fixation at vaguely nothing in particular, she faced the seated group. “This is Ran. She has agreed to be the Jinchuriki's successor. Lord Hyūga, if your guard would be willing to escort us to the basement. We’ll be on our way.”
She would depart shortly after. Surely, the proposed sealing party would be joining her.
