You keep the number of dice your roll requires (usually your ring).

If you roll 5k2, you keep any two dice you want. If you roll 2k2, you keep both those dice. You can't lower your kept dice like that.

I'd let you Raise once to keep the damage from becoming lethal. If you ever want to change the outcome of what your dice give you, raises are the way to do it.

Sozen vs Denbe "We both suffered unbecoming defeats on the first day." Depending on which defeat he means for Denbe, then both were to the same guy too.

Denbe is hoping to encounter and defeat Zanzen. Probably even preferably soundly. But he's not planning to make it about revenge. He's just frustrated and mortified enough about his one-shot defeat that he feels the need to prove himself.

If you face Zanzen, he'll probably be elated, since it means he made it to the finals. He'll be doing his best to not get thoroughly trounced in the first round.

You'll be using a lot of full attacks. Use both raises to drop your opponent's TN to manageable levels....or so that's my advice
