Kanzaki's scuffle with Kya proved his swordsmanship was highly lacking. He'd faced worse odds again Fujimi and taken less damage. His body and skill were just not up to par with what his mind knew he was capable of. Putting the Shakujo aside for now, he ripped his sword from it sheath and spun it over his wrist once.

He was in quite a bit of pain. That was a good thing. He had to remember what he went through now. To familiarize how he operated when injured, so that it not only made it easier when he was injured in battle again, but to make it effortless at full strength.

The sword hadn't gotten any heavier, but the responsibility he placed on it did. Giving it a few lazy swings, Kanzaki still remained at the point where he was chopping. No, the katana couldn't handle such work. It was meant to slice cleanly. He'd have to train his wrist to achieve that sort of cut.

It all started with the grip. He ascribed to the teachings of an ancient dual wielding master. He must use one sword in one hand, and that he must grip it tightly with two fingers, loosely with the other two. In the event he was to have the opportunity, the practiced grip would aid him in a quick snap should an easy chance to cleave arise, all while pulling to continue the slice.
[B-rank Katana]

After several practices swings he moved onward to the first of the five attitudes. Each was a simple direction that one could attack from. Above, not counting hundreds of degrees in an angle, was one not so easily defensible. One would have to use all their strength to perfectly stop a blade from this attitude, so power could be loaned to the swings here.

The lower attitude was harder for some. Striking from below could be perilous in closed spaces, near an enemy. It was where using one hand to swing gave greater advantage. He would not have to tie his limbs up to execute a swing when using one hand, slicing upwards at an imagined dummy.

He could no become reliant on the right attitude with his dominant hand. It was easy for him, but could make him predictable. This would be difficult and require more training for someone who was not of the Shigure Souen school. Kanzaki swung from the right side just fine, slow and methodically. Slow was smooth, and smooth was fast.

The left, however, with only one blade, kept his arm cross body, and could be obstructed. He tossed his sword, groaning at the effort of so quickly moving his stiff left arm, dropping his sword. Bending down to pick it up was even worse. Still, he endured, slicing away at high and low angles from his left side, pushing through that pain for his body and mind to learn from.

The final attitude was that of the middle. Like water, all of the other attitudes would flow through here eventually. One swing could flow into two, three, or ten, all connected by the central area. Follow through was important, aye, but he had to be mindful of his weapon. This was no b*****d sword, meant for piercing, but a katana. A forward thrust would likely break his weapon if countered directly. He must not be like the spear, but like water.
[A-rank Katana]

Sheathing his sword, an array of weapons on the wall caught his eye. Throwing things never worked, so he'd written off kunai and senbon. Yet, there were chopsticks laying in a pile, all made of metal. That was a novel idea, but the more he thought about it, he could definitely humiliate an enemy the way he wanted to get through to Kya. He snagged a pair and slipped them into his right hand, picking at the open air a few times and angles to test his grip.
[D-rank Chopsticks]

He kept one stick nestled between his thumb and palm, and the other like he was holding a pen. Just by flexing his index finger, he could put all his strength into a poke with both of them. He'd have to target much smaller areas, but with good timing, he could even catch things. It was too perfect, since he could loosen his grip and drop them in the event he was overpowered.
[C-rank Chopsticks]

Heck, in an emergency he could throw them, and from melee range it'd be god-awful. He wound back and flung them under his shoulder at a training dummy, nailing it in the chest. He was surprised with just his average strength how far it sank it. Accuracy was once again key.

Withdrawing the hashi, he went again at trying with his left hand. In his right, he took a few mock swings inward at himself with his katana. A larger sword had less force in the sword closer to the hilt, she he aimed there. It was slow, waiting for the right moment to lock down on the metal to such a degree he could stop it with muscle.

Thinking of his enemy's position at this stage, he gave a gentle twist to his left. This way he could free a weapon from their weaker hands if he got a chance. It never hurt to practice, and in theory, it could work on just about anything. Even if he had to meet where their hands met steel, it could work against them as leverage to pry it from their hands unexpectedly.

Higashi Hyūga

Practicing his footwork Hig would warm up by moving around on the dojo floor. Shifting his weight back and forth, throwing a couple of random punching here and there Higa would be focusing more on his form or rather his formlessness. His movements has to be calculated and precise in order for them to be useful in the field.

Formless Style: Soft Physical [D rank]

Now done with his workout Higa would continue to train getting into a stance he wasn't much familiar with yet. Bending his knees Higa arched his feet all most as if he were crouching. The muscles in his lower body flexed and ready for anything. The goal was to flow like water.

Flow Like Water [ E rank]

Stepping over, the smoothness of Higa's technique gave him the appearance of gliding across the floor, leaving behind him a streak of auburn hair. Combine with his new stance, Higa could move near effortlessly around the perimeter of the dojo. Shifting back and forth as we went.

Shift like the Sea [X rank :: Simple]

With his evasion under control Higa imaged slipping punches, sliding and weaving in and out of his opponents range. Ceasing the opportunity within his own head to counter attack Higashi would launch a quick finger jab toward the chest of his imaginary enemy.

Crash like a wave [X rank :: Simple]

Infusing chakra with his feet higa could back peddle out of danger faster then his average speed, he could utilize his enhanced speed with his reflexes to successfully navigate away from a foe if need be, although he didn't seen that happening much.

Seaworthy Rank: X :: Complex

Now he had to train his body he wanted his punches to be fast but also carry weight in order to catch an opponent off guard. his training focuses on using movement when you attack, carrying that much more force. Turning his hips into his punches could give him the result he was looking for, and that's what he did.

Falling asleep Higa would have a crazy dream about a massive carrot shortage and how the villagers where forced to eat ramen without carrots for generations. And ultimately the Byaukgans would begin to weaken due to the shortage.

It was horrific waking up in a sweat Higa would rub his face with some water. He was getting distracted from his training and he wouldn't allow that. Pride wouldn't allow him to slack off in even the slightest aspect of his life. Stepping back out onto the dojo floor he was rested and ready to fight.

Taking a quick break Higa would think back on his life. This would soon be his debut in the ninja world while world fame wasn't exactly his goal. He wished to further the glory of the Hyūga clan. He thought about his father and how he achieved world fame for the clan. Higa hoped that he would be the son to garnish his fathers attention.

Tired from his training he laid down to sleep, he knew the comfort of a nights rest but he yet to know of the dreams that he would embark on during his pubescent stage. Higashi didn't know much of the outside world. The Hyūga compound was basically the extent of his childhood. Other then academy in which he scored high marks in all basic fields of ninjutsu.

Channeling chakra into each strike Higa would begin to understand the principles of integrating his chakra to reinforce his striking capabilities. Quickly Higashi was becoming a force amongst this generation of genin. He aimed to be number 1 so let's see how far he would have to go in order to become it.

Oukashou [ Cherry Blossom Collision ]

Dropping down Higa would practice his low sweep, his leg hooking through the air. Displacing several imaginary enemies as he passed. Realizing that the application of this technique is near endless Higashi knew that adding it to his arsonal wouldn't be a mistake.

There was a heckin chopstick style? It was easy enough to get the training down, since he already knew how to eat with the damn things. He was a trained chef, after all, not just some scrub cook. Keeping one in the meat of his hand, Kanzaki made chomping sounds at the air. He kept opening and closing them in probably the easiest training ever.
[Chopstick Use]

Next technique was using his chopsticks to catch attacks. He drew his sword and tossed it into the air. Using his sharingan made it easy to predict the path. As it came down, he caught the katana between the two sticks.
[Splittable Chopsticks]

That was pretty cool, but he couldn't catch everything. Sometimes it wasn't even safe to. He tossed the sword back up in the air. This time, he used their sides to brush the sword away back into his sheath.
[Cedar Chopsticks]

Kanzaki imagined an opponent coming at him armed. He'd use cedar chopsticks, but then what? He went with stabbing at their hands. Heck, if he was strong enough, he'd make them drop their weapon.
[Serving Chopsticks]

He went one step further and gathered chakra. He coated the sticks in chakra and took a few jabs. Then he tried the same snatching maneuver with his sword. It'd be easier to deflect techniques if he used just a little chakra.
[Festive Chopsticks]

This technique had to be tried and trained. Kanzaki went to a water fountain and clogged it with his hand. He charged the training sticks with chakra and made a grab at the water. Just as if it was solid, he was able to use energy to grab liquids like water walking.
[Thoughtfulness of the Chopsticks]

The next technique he read about was like a debuff. Using chakra he could take away techniques. Active or passive, it didn't matter. He could even give them to other people as easy as passing food.
[Lacquered Chopsticks]

He'd set down the training chopsticks. He wanted to test his slightly more refined chakra control. He drew his sword. Next he spun it so it was facing downward.

He coated his weapon in chakra and took a swing. While doing that, he spun it through his fingers. It ended up creating a sort of shield. It wasn't what he was hoping for, but it'd be a useful jutsu.
[Splashing ******** training. There were shenanigans afoot!

Taking the first breathe Higa would attempt to practice the 7 heavenly breathing techniques. Using them to further his Taijutus ability. Breathing in he would take in chakra enriched air, pure and use it for fuel for his body. Allowing him to move faster and react faster.

Daiichi Kassei [ First Activation ]

Using the silent fist technique. Higa would enter a stance, usually a gentle fist stance. Spreading his feet apart, Higa would enter a taijutsu induce state in which his movements were near silent. With this technique he could silently sneak up on his opponents and disperse them one by one.

Muon no Ken [ Silent Fist ]

He needed to train harder, pushing the pace was the only way Higashi was going to become Hokage one day. Only through rigorous training and an iron will he would prevail. He was pre-determined for success based on his lineage. It was about time the Hyuuga clan ruled over Konohagakure. Pushing himself to gear 2nd Higa would enter the next gate. His muscle mass increasing and taking on a new form that was rather unusual for a 15 year old. Standing in rage Higa would complete another training.

Daini Kassei [ Second Activation ]

Nothing yet would be more dificult to learn then this next technique. Being a member of the hyuga clan Higa was already predisposed to the use of pressure points during combat. Hell his gentle fist basically set him up perfectly. Thrusting his finger into a training dummy he would emulate the shock caused by striking the nerve. Rendering the imaginary enemy vulnerable to more advance techniques.

Tired Higa would take a short break, he needed his hair re-braided, it was getting all undone and getting into his face. Pulling the fish tail braid out of his long auburn hair the young hyuga boy would begin trying his best to untangle it.

But his hair was so straight and so long you couldn't really tell where one tangle ended and the other began. So he would just have to leave it. Resting his head on the hard oak floor of the dojo Higa would begin to get some rest from exhaustion.

In his dreams he pictured his defeat, by an foe with super-human abilities. But a lack of actual combat knowledge. The shock scared his straight out of his bed. It scared him so bad that he would train even harder. Trying his best to compete with the extra ordinary shinobi seemingly appearing in abundance.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 12, 2017 1:49 pm
For his final act Higa would attempt to push his body as far as he could muster. Taking a deep breathe his body would turn red with oxidized blood. His bone structure and body density hardening way past it's original state. He felt like a hyper being. Someone who live outside of the physical limitations of their human bodies.

Daisan Kassei [ Third Activation ]

Utilizing his finger thrusting attacks, Higa would manage to figure out a new pressure point that would in fact drain the opponent more then what the hyuga style technique could. By utilizing this secret pressure point Higa would in a sense render a person incapacitated within seconds of starting a fight. A powerful shinobi Higashi Hyuga was shaping into, he knew it, his father knew it. Now the entire village of Konohagakure was going to know it.

Attsuuten Konpai [ Pressure Point Fatigue ]

Higa would push the limits of his power further entering the fourth stage of the breath technique. Now his skin would turn a deeper red then before. He was taking in X4 as much oxygen as the normal person. It was here in this stage that he began to experience his lungs hyper extending.

Daiyon Kassei [ Fourth Activation ]

Understanding his body Higashi could use his own pressure points in order to boost his own abilities temporarily, it could be useful in other applications if he wanted to strengthen his own muscles by stimulating them. Thought this technique may never see the light of day.

Ayame Araki of the Raigyo Clan, Kunoichi of the Hidden Leaf Village.

XXX The trip from the administration building was about a fifteen minute walk back to her home, a modest little apartment. Her nerves, rattled and battered, would take awhile to calm from the experience she had been dreading. Ayame didn't do very well with those in a higher authority, her fears were there on the surface even more than usual constantly hounding her like a pack of dogs. She held her headband with a long look at the metallic band that was her symbolic item that made her an official recruit, yet it was also her binding to the village. An unseen rope around her, yet she couldn't feel anything but joy either way.

XXXIn the hallway, Ayame stood outside the door of her home and pocketed the headband, thinking again on what she would be doing later in the village. It was a nice day she thought to herself entering the apartment, the sun was out and clear blue skies with only a few clouds was refreshing for the rest of the night. She lived in a quaint little apartment on the second floor of the complex, the apartment decorated with furnishing reminiscent of traditional Konohagakure design with a single spacious room as the main room. She traded her geta for the indoor slippers she kept by the door. Tatami mats made up most of the floor with intricate floral designs, a table away from the kitchenette had the woman's weapon on a small metal rack.

XXXHer Katana, sleek in its lacquered black scabbard and small adornment near the tsuba. She set the headband and small pouch of her everyday carry underneath the weapon and she went right to the kitchenette. Ayame got a small brew of tea brewing in a iron kettle, a wood stove burning a low heat as she prepared for the rest of the day with a small meal. Onigiri wrapped in seaweed, tuna sashimi and pickled vegetables were packed away in ellipsoid wooden container fitted with a lid and the wrapped in purple velvet. Soon the tea brew was finished as Ayame was in another room dressing, she came into the kitchenette half dressed and hair down to take the kettle off the heat as she went back to finish dressing.

XXX"It just had to finish now..." She muttered under her breath, slipping into a new change of clothes and her put her hair up, yet loosely in a modest fashion with her jewelry being last, a few earrings and her ring. Her outfit was cut short unlike her kimono with more of her legs exposed with leggings on underneath. Ayame donned the katana now on her left hip, headband wrapped around the left arm and her shinobi pouch secured close to the katana. The headband she obtained from the kage earlier was now secured on the fabric of her short kimono near her thigh. She drank her tea for a few moments, enjoying the simple flavor of her brew.

XXXShe smiled to herself then as she flicked blue eyes out the window while savoring her tea. It was going to be a good day she thought to herself.

XXX An hour later at the Dojo...

XXXSteady breathing, even stance and the wear of practice wore already on her as she gripped the handle of the training bokken. A fellow shinobi was her sparring partner for the session as Ayame had been working through her form. A few exchanges went on, swings were thrown out and blows were landed, three attacks flew at a blurring speed as Ayame moved into the attacks. Chakra flowed through the wooden training sword as she deflected each blow with the flat of the weapon, the chakra hardening the material of the weapon to withstand the attacks easier. She grunted for a moment and fought to gain the upper hand as she met the next attack head on into a weapon deadlock, the two closing in with a contest of strength. [1/1] Reinforcement

XXXAyame wasn't necessarily a weak woman by any means, but the man was able to begin overpowering the lock. It came down to a matter of positioning then as the kunoichi pressed forward and stepped inward and into the man's stance. Waiting for the right moment, the maneuver was performed with the bokken pulled away suddenly, drawing the bokken to the opposing weapon and pulled with the guard. The move pulled him off balance with his stumble yet he was quick to recover with as he made a counter with a quick thrust... only to meet air and a whiff of hair and cloth the woman pirouetted with a few steps toward his opposite flank fully exposed. The movement was quick and sudden through a pure exertion of physical prowess only just slower than the Shunshin technique. [1/1] Linear Step

XXXAyame drew back her training blade and had the right opening with the two handed grip held up at shoulder height, blade edge up and parallel to the ground. Her opponent was already turning about, now enraged with an incoming counter swing as Ayame couldn't help but feel a bit triumphant in her attempt to annoy her opponent. Bringing the weapon around in a counter clockwise motion, she caught the attack with the flat of the bokken that stilled hummed with chakra. Warding it off with the assistance of the reinforcement technique, Ayame parried the attack and moved forward with blurring speed and threw out her weapon in a two-handed thrust with the momentum of the forward step driving more power into the attack. It struck true, nailing her opponent square in the chest. [1/1] Basic Stab

XXX Hagane no Shunkan Stage 1 Trained

XXX Ayame had to take the defensive route with her next opponent, a bigger male than her last had stepped up to the plate. With a large training sword, he threw out a few swings to test her already with a few parries and dodges to weave in and out. It was no mistake, one misstep and she would be feeling this in the morning, so she had to take it up a notch. [1/3]She was in the neutral stance for full awareness for what her opponent was to up to. Chakra flowed from the woman then and into her own weapon, visibly humming and flaring to life as she stepped forward as the man swung vertically. In a roof guard, her weapon was gripped with both hands and now she relied solely on the chakra and full confidence in the stance. Sure enough, the blow landed true as the chakra forcibly caught the blow and redirected much of the force in addition to the reinforcement of the sword. [2/3]The chakra flared off and Ayame grinned at the use of the static block and was quick to turn the tables. Turning the sword from roof guard to neutral, she twisted it counter clockwise and used the momentum gain from the parry to aid in her next moment. It was risky, yet the even the hulking brute couldn't fight against simple leverage. [3/3] Deflection

XXXThe moment was right there now as Ayame pushed into the new position of a weapon deadlock. She was a lighter stature than he was but she had the upper hand in both positioning and an enhanced chakra blade still alive with energy yet his blade was also alive with chakra with two opposing forces roared in a silent battle of energy and grunting match of both combatants. [1/2] The key to winning the deadlock was to take away any possible advantage her opponent would have, and this was accomplished now. Ayame stepped into the man's guard, forced her body forward and slowly but surely she pushed her blade all the way to the base of his, gaining full control then. Where he had strength, she would win with pure dexterity as she began to wrench the sword out of his hands to try and disarm him - yet she actually had another method to try. [2/2] Forward Grind

XXXShe pushed into the man then with a sudden pull away to free herself and she backed away. The move angered her opponent more and it had done wonders for Ayame's plan as she braced for the next part. Another blow was thrown by her opponent then, a two handed vertical swing which was telegraphed from last week. [1/2] She spun, turning aside with one foot and her blade whiffed through the air as well as she commenced the next part of the maneuver. The movement was followed with a simple parry, the chakra helping the blow glance off like it was nothing and now he was open for a swift counter attack. One that she took with a forward step and a nimble thrust into the ribcage to end this encounter with him. [2/2] Pivot Block

                          XXX Stage 2 Mastered

XXX The match was over but her training wasn't as she was now outside, setting up the next part of the exercises. Support beams were steadied at a few yards apiece, four beams making a rectangular shape with strands of wire strewn out between them. Balance, a swordsman's greatest asset in combat was the crucial bit of training she would need to do to perfect her forms. [1/4] Ayame hadn't done the thread walking much before, only in theory with slow and deliberate moves on solid flat ground. That was, flat ground and threads were a completely different comparison and the latter would require much more concentration. For as such, Ayame hoisted herself on the first support beam, breathing in and letting her chakra flow through her. [2/4] She moved on the first initial wire with a steady foot, then another and another as the wires flexed with her weight yet they were secure. Movement was slow at first, her balance wavering and concentration sharp as she tried to not use chakra to upright herself. The key was to not use the wall walking technique but to focus purely on balance and movement. [3/4] She was getting better for sure, no longer needing to hold out her arms to balance and even begin a marching pace. Then eventually, she was jogging with a bokken held to simulate the increased weight and asymmetrical distribution. Now finally she went through basic forms of guards; upper and middle and lower, compensating with her feet for balance each time. A grin came across her face, a good balance was achieved. [4/4] Thread Walking

XXXThere was a certain approach a kunoichi would need to take in battle at times, where skill and strength would fail and instead just sheer agility and mobility would prevail. It was a concept taught by the school she was regularly training in and it was the next step. The principle was simple, achieve a light stance and strike not with power but with multiple blows -- a useful tactic with poison she thought grimly. [1/3] So, she went into a low stance with the training sword, two handing the grip and holding the weapon out to her side as she let her muscles loosen up. There was no form now, only low in a near crouch like a predator stalking its prey. She moved slowly, getting the feel of the new form and knew it wouldn't deliver much in the way of power. A few minutes passed with the practice spar, Ayame moved like a breeze with her already decent speed now blurring in and out of the clashes. She didn't land heavy hits as she did strike twice as often, though her attacks were far too easily parried as she went on in the fight. She hadn't won the confrontation, being bested out in her partner's strength and had been disarmed as well -- yet she wasn't ready to abandon the concept. [2/3] Instead, true to the technique name, she used her weapon one handed and moved from a neutral stance. She alternated between both low and high, even going into middle and used more fluid motions with twirls and pirouettes to confuse her last opponent. Each strike bit less than her usual strike but with her loose form, they came twice as fast with an unrelenting assualt from each angle. Like a painter's brush displaying the land on canvas, she artfully drew a spectacle with martial prowess alone and won with both style and grace as her final blow touched the opponent's neck. [3/3] Calligraphy

XXXAyame went through more training now as she focused completely on the spiritual abilities of the school. One would prove to be useful by extending the reach of the sword. It would be achieved with pure chakra flow and at first would need some concentration to maintain shape. [1/4] The bokken was held up as Ayame stood still to concentrate on the principle of the technique. To let the flow of chakra extend beyond the normal reach of the weapon and use form manipulation to maintain a solid shape. At first it wasn't working but she stood still to try and concentrate the form even more so. [2/4] Chakra hummed to life as it coursed through the practice weapon, the coloration of Ayame's energy showing as she breathed in and let it flow. It was a wispy essence, curling around like a reaching fog and soon to collect around the weapon like dew. It took awhile but now the form was complete and now sword and chakra were one as a blade with a blue spiritual extension from the tip. [3/4] She practiced with the swings, growing accustomed to the extended reach and the flow of chakra constantly being controlled. It would become second nature the more she'd use it, swinging the blade more and more. But now it was time to move on with her practice. [4/4] Extension

XXXThe sword was swung more and more with chakra flowing out with each swing. The extension was a simple idea, but there was an additional step that could be done. So, this was the next step to try and make it work. [1/4] It wasn't working at first, the chakra only formed the extension and whiffed through the air but it remained affixed to the sword itself. Deep concentration was needed to prevail with the twin blade and it followed a separate method. Instead of extending, it actually made a second flow of chakra follow behind to strike twice so to speak. [2/4] Like a piece of the puzzle, the first step was to correct the flow of chakra and troubleshoot from there. This time it began to falter out when she exerted too much energy, making her take another try at it. So she began to think it was less on the flow but the control of a separate source. [3/4] This time, Ayame nailed the technique as she exerted her flow of chakra through the entire length of the blade but didn't extend it. Similar to the reinforcement, she put a release on the flow to make it as a shadow. Sure enough she swung into a bamboo post, biting into it and the ethereal blade sliced into it as well. It wasn't the most graceful of techniques, yet combined with both speed and skill it would equate to devastating results. [4/4] Twin Blade

XXX So what was the best defense against the inevitable trips? Sure, staying out of the way would work for sure. But what if that didn't work? There was a principle in the school that taught a very basic technique. [1/4] It was as if it was a variation of the wall walking technique but it was a slightly different principle. Instead of pure chakra flow, it managed with anchoring into the ground and reinforcing the muscles that allowed for an unmoving stance and powerful blows. [2/4] So, Ayame went to work with the practice of the technique with a large amount of chakra surging out from her legs. The pressure was intense enough for it to be visible and billowed her clothing slightly from the forceful release of it. She felt rooted down and the focus of raw energy flow through the form as she dug feet in. [3/4] The evident increase in the sword strikes wasn't a lie as with her increased footing, she was able to land deeper cuts into the bamboo posts with the katana. Yet the drawback if there were any was she had to grow accustomed to the anchoring if she wanted to be more mobile. Yet it was a small price to pay, it was another trick up her sleeve as a swordsman. [4/4] Solid Footing

                          XXX Stage 3 Mastered

XXX- Focusing the mind and body was not an easy task when in combat. Yet one can achieve outstanding results by stooping into a means of serenity. The school taught a method of clearing the mind of everything but your own goal. [1/5]To those who didn't train in the Shunkan school, the principle would sound ridiculous, yet it was feasible. As a purely physical technique, it really did require mastery of body and mind over all else. Some students found it easy, others had not.[2/5] Ayame was one of the few that had felt it come naturally with her austere way of life. Discipline was one of the key ways to clear the mind and focus more on the flesh to achieve what normally couldn't be. For her, she thought of the clan and her dedication to the village. [3/5] Eyes opened and realization set in as everything seemed to fade out for a moment. There was no feeling then, no regret, fear or content; only a focused mind. Ayame had no thoughts, only a keen observation moment as she drew her sword. [4/5] Body lighter, mind sharp and blade flying like a breeze, Ayame was a dervish on the set of Bamboo posts. She was both faster, stronger and even more attentive than she ever been and no chakra flowed through her body. This was pure flesh and raw talent of focus as she achieved a sort of self peace. [5/5] Advance of Steel

XXX - Not every opponent needed to be cut down, and not everyone was able to be slain. There was a technique taught to those who rose to the advanced stages of the style. It was simple, it was to disarm an opponent. [1/5] There were several methods of how to go about it, and there were many ways it was taught and had become a staple of a lot of shinobi famously known for their pacifism. Be it destruction of the weapon, use of leverage or amputating the limb, all were effective measures. [2/5] The first technique to do was to destroy the weapon itself and remove the threat forcefully. This was the most direct approach but it was the hardest to pull off save for extremely powerful swordsmen. Usually if this was able to be done, it was by those of muscle and with a powerful weapon. [3/5] Secondly was more of skill and less of the breakage of a weapon and that was to use leverage. Less direct and more subtle, the move was just as hard to do in most forms and weapons like daggers. Heavy weapons were much more easier to disarm for sure and this was a primary means of stripping a foe of that huge axe or send a sword careening out of someone's grasp. [4/5] Thirdly was the bodily harm and perhaps one of the more common means in everyday soldier fights. It was the breakage or amputation of the limbs that utilized a weapon and usually varied in a wide arrange of skills. Some more pacifistic swordsmen usually dislocate the wrist and those more aggressive wll simply cut it off. [5/5] Disarming

XXX Speed. That was the premise of the swordslinger and some of the masters have perfected it without so much as a blink. But what was it? Simply it was how the true masters of the school that attacked with several blades at once. [1/5] Ayame settled before the set of bamboo posts with her katana at her hip, hand gripping the weapon and she bent down low in a ready stance. There was to be no chakra in this display of kenjutsu. Instead, it was raw speed and strength of the mortal flesh. [2/5] The art was simple, to move with the speed in the limbs and strike with alternating attacks. Shinobi were known for unique weapons sometimes, others could throw off less skilled opponents. Yet, it could also just be a sheer example of intimidation for the simple minded. [3/5] Ayame moved then and drew the sword like lightning, the light flashing off her blade with the setting sun. With a single cut she felled three posts and already her offhand trailed to the tanto knife opposite of her katana. In the same speed, her left hand slashed through another set of posts with the tanto as if she always had the weapon drawn. [4/5] It was quick, dirty and soon the set of posts were all but cut. Ayame had displayed quick switches of both weapons and with keen accuracy as she practiced the rapid drawing and cutting. For her, the skill had little benefit until she would carry a second sword perhaps. Perhaps... [5/5] Swordslinger

XXX- One of the final techniques was simple and it was to augment the blade's edge itself. It wasn't to reinforce or increase the blade's potential. Neither was it for dealing more than a single blow. [1/6] Instead, it was a technique simply referred to as the Brush Stroke. A technique that drew chakra into the blade that was able to cleave even ninjutsu. A technique based upon spirit, not physical power. [2/6] The concept was to inflict the damage through the strike, the extra energy increasing the penetration. When the technique was gathered for the attack as well, the user's speed was upped. The end result was the quick single stroke slash filled with spiritual chakra. [3/6] Ayame focused on the concept of this technique as she stood before a thick piece of oak set up beforehand. The steel blade of her Katana hummed to life then and she bent down low like a predator. Ayame stepped forward and let loose her most powerful swing combined with increased speed. [4/6] The katana bit into the wood like a hot knife through butter, the blade slicing through as if it hadn't exist. A bright flash erupted off of the blade as the chakra surged through the sword. From one end to the other, the katana had cleanly bisected the entire oak post. [5/6] It was clean, to say the least as Ayame's blade slide home in its scabbard and looked upon her handiwork. Slowly, the top half of the thick wooden post started to slide off. And off it came, slamming to the ground with a clean cut shown with little to no fraying along the edges of the wood. [6/6] Brush stroke

XXX- Hydra strike, what a better name than something that alluded to the mythical beast with multiple heads? It was a greater and much more taxing technique than the twin blade. For instead of a single duplicate, the hydra strike replicated several blows. [1/6] The principle was exactly the same as the twin blade technique in that it used the chakra flow of the sword to duplicate. But therein lied the problem, multiplying the duplicate while still maintaining efficiency in the attack. So it was simple in theory but would require a bit more control than she normally used in her techniques. [2/6] So in order to recreate the technique she would need to commence the original technique on the use and further refine it. Ayame drew her sword then and held it out in front of her to concentrate in the neutral stance. Chakra slowly then began to form at the end of the sword and hum into existence. [3/6] The blade was fully alive with the chakra then and the blue energy whiffed about as the woman began to move the weapon. Like smoke, the chakra followed the path of the sword's movement and the woman began to go through different guards. With increasing speed and momentum, she tested the chakra more and then went into the final approach. [4/6] The control was daunting at first, maintaining the chakra's shape and had to keep a hold on the form and constant release with the blade. First one chakra blade followed after the sword and then she forcibly released more chakra. Then more flowed and her sword looked like it was blurring through the air now as she kept the flow intense. [5/6] She threw out a single cut now on a oak training post, letting her katana bite deep into the wood. The initial cut went deep through and followed with the completetion of the swing. Multiple cuts then phased through the wood, thwacking the wood and cutting it deeper and deeper along the same cutting path as the intial swing like an ethereal chainsaw. [6/6] Hydra Strike

XXX The Illusory Double was a peculiar technique taught in the school and one of the more direct and specific moves. It emphasized speed over power and it was done with a thrust a majority of the time. Although there were exceptions to be sure and that's where the beauty of it came in. [1/6] First and foremost, the technique would have to begin with a thrust with a two handed grip preferably. Although useful one handed or two handed, Ayame found the two handed variation kept both the speed and some of the power behind a strike. Since the key was a thrust, it also helped to add a quick step and use the entire body to deliver the blow. [2/6] The deviation from the thrusts were also cuts, slashes to even blunt strikes with the sword's flat edge or hilt. The first attack was a simple attack to start, to throw out an attack to strike as the student would any other. Now the trick was in the execution of the follow up with the chakra stimulating the body to achieve body flicker speeds that almost rivaled it if not surpassed it. [3/6] The name was not given by the school, but those who have witnessed the speed and sheer skill involved in the Illusory Double's execution. Masters have been known to deliver two strikes as if they spawned a double of themself, striking twice in a blink. Other have been able to effectively dispatch two people of lesser skill as well, thrusting the sword in one and then beheading the second on the follow up chakra surge. [4/6] So where did this come into the training for Ayame after all? She stood before a wood post and held the katana in a neutral stance, feet apart and knees bent. She waited for a moment and had to breath in before she would attempt the technique. [5/6] Stepping into the attack, she threw out a quick thrust for the middle of the post with chakra surging in her arms. The first attack was respectable, going several inches into the wood as she withdrew her blade and blurred momentarily. Across the wood a deep cut exploded across the hard surface and opened where the stab had been into a gaping hole and next thing Ayame was standing still, sword on the side. [6/6] Illusory Double

                          XXX Stage 4, Mastered

XXX The day carried on as Ayame continued her practice well into the evening. Her opponents were starting to wear her down as she worked through the more straining and complex techniques. She won on average in short exchanges, lost a few and still had room to learn in her forms. After her training, it would be just turning dusk with the Kunoichi sitting with her katana beside her outside the dojo, looking out at the village and enjoying the bento box she packed away earlier that day. She was exhausted, hair a mess and even a bit sore from a few stray hits that had struck her bare shoulders, hands and other parts of the body. Looking out at the village, she was left alone to her thoughts where she left herself in deep thought. Wondering, thinking, making out of what she would do with her career to the village. She sat mostly in silence, sword close to her side and enjoyed her packed meal as she let her mind wander.

User Image Not one to sit around wasting time, San made her way to the dojo for a solid workout. Upon entering she took a deep breath and look around with a fire in her eyes that matched the passion to become stronger within her heart. As while walked through the hall to one of the training rooms the various weapons on display intrigued her greatly, though sadly she had no time for those today. Cardio first, then practicing Jinyuugata Senpuu. If she had time or the energy after maybe then she could practice with her gunbai. Upon stepping into one of the training ones she couldn't help but notice the shy girl from the office practicing with some other shinobi. With a smile and a nod San acknowledged the girl before finding a spacious area for herself.

Taking some deep breathes to focus her mind San got to work. Making sure to be light on her feet she began by jumping side to side rather rapidly. Doing her best to maintain the speed she got her heart pumping until it was pounding in her chest. The pace was certainly intense but this was nothing, something she could keep up for hours. [1] Suddenly the Uzumaki woman tucked into a roll during one of her side jumps. Her body somersaulted to the side before she sprung back up onto her feet. Back the other way she went before repeating the same motion to the right of her original position. [2] Ramping up the intensity ever more she added in a duck to the movements. After spring up from the roll she'd duck under and imaginary punch. Then back the other way San went. [3] Finally she added in a mimed knocking away of a punch. The final pattern was side step jump, roll, duck, parry. The motions got her sweating but San wasn't one to ease up when it came to training. [4] [Soft Physical C-Rank]

Not content to simply remain at that level of physical prowess San amped her training up a notch. Switching to doing back and front flips the woman continued to work on her training. Allowing her arms to get a bit of a work out was nice change of pace after all that leg work. [1] Changing it up a bit, San added a kick meant to deflect an incoming strike while she was mid flip. The maneuver was rather tiring physically but to be honest she loved it. There was nothing better than pushing oneself to your very limit in her mind. [2] Sweat starting to run down her back, San was breathing heavily while she continued this very mobility heavy training. C'mon San, you got this girl! Psyching herself up mentally she continued to work at an almost frantic pace. [3] Yet somehow that woman's seemed entirely deliberate. Of course that's because each motion of her training was carefully thought out and practiced. Despite the cushy looking body she had San was no slacker. [4] Working at was essentially her max, sweat dripped to the floor each time she flipped away from imaginary attacks. Looking to push herself harder, the girl suddenly took to changing directions off her handsprings. This new maneuver made her arms burn as she worked them hard. [5] When it finally felt like her heart was ready to burst, and her arms ached San came to a stop. Wiping her brow with a forearm before smiling with delight at her efforts. It'd been a while since she'd been able to practice that hard. [6] [ Soft Physical B-Rank ]

With her warm ups out of the way San could could get to training in her preferred style. With how hard this style was on the hands and feet it was probably best if she trained for the shock of landing. Much like her warm up exercise the girl perform a series of jumps that caused her to land hard on both her feet and then her hands as well. In this way she would strengthen her limbs and get used to the impacts. The work wasn't exactly exciting but she understood well the necessity of doing it.[1] [ Whirlwind Training ]

Following that basic warm up San would move onto practicing some actual moves. Jumping up into the air she'd land with a somersault in a given direction. In this way she'd lower the amount of strain put on her body by falling from a height. In addition to the jump and roll, she practiced tucking into a roll from standing so that she should could dodge an opponents attacks and look to flank them After repeating this move for some time she seemed to have it down. [1] [ Somersault ]

The next move she wanted to train couldn't exactly be practiced inside the dojo. Instead she'd simply have to grab an instructional and review the texts. While not the worst way in the world to train it didn't thrill her either. In the end the principle was simple. While vaulting over something she'd bring up her leg and transfer the momentum into a kick. [1] [ Power Slide ] [ S t a g e O n e ]

According to the training scroll there was another training exercise that she could perform to become stronger. In fact it was actually really similar to one of the warm exercises she did just a short while ago. Simply put it was about honing one's reflexes and timing by flipping back to front and front to back. Taking a deep breath San got to it straight away and soon enough she was feeling both the burn of the workout and also the benefits of the training. Reacting quickly so that she could jump again was becoming second nature. After feeling like she had the hang of things, San moved on. [ Switchblade ]

Building off that training was an attack which revolved around landing a blow while flipping. In essence she would stick out a single leg while rotating and slam it into her opponent. Simple enough in theory at least. San was able to pick it up fairly easily as she'd been practicing flips for some time now. [ Kickflip ]

For this next technique her gunbai would actually come in handy. The general basis was to use a pole or person as leverage for a spin. Then from the spin, she'd slam her feet into the target. Getting a running start, San pulled her gunbai from her back and slammed the end into the floor before spinning around and flying into a kick. Surprisingly it was actually pretty fun to do. Honestly it'd be great to try this style around the village sometime. [ Roundabout ] [ S t a g e T w o ]

Moving towards the more advanced moves from this style meant that it was time again for training. Much of this taijutsu revolved around speed and balance. Of course as one moved faster, maintaining balance could become difficult. [1] Setting a bo staff down on the floor San looked to try and run across the pole while it was free to move. The activity was actually rather hard. It took her some time before she could even run along it without falling off. [2] However she needed to be able to do more than run. This taijutsu style involved a lot of flips and her movements had to be decisive and precise. The first time she tried to flip onto the pole San went straight off it onto a**. [3] However that did little to deter the woman as she got right back up and tried again. It was difficult beyond belief. Eventually though the genin was able to land on the pole without falling off or causing it to move terribly much. Her balance was becoming far better.[4] [ Perfecting Balance ]

Reading through the training scroll she came to another technique which built upon the principles of earlier levels. It was similar to the power slide move but instead of vaulting over or under an obstacle, one would utilize a handspring instead. In doing so two separate kicks could be delivered, and the technique could also be performed backwards. [1] Starting off by practicing handsprings San soon brought her legs into the mix too. After the spring came the scissor kick. It was certainly a neat combo to be sure. [2] Finally she practiced the attack off of a back flip. Getting used to both directions certainly made her a more versatile fighter. Ending off the training for this tech, San read about how she could grapple something after the kick. [3] [ Scissor Handspring ]

Continuing the theme of utilizing the environment to her own advantage this next technique involved utilizing a solid structure as a launching point. Whether it was a tree or a wall or something else didn't matter. All that did was that she could run up it and then push off of it. [1] After the push she'd transfer her momentum into a spinning roundhouse kick. All the speed she'd built up would be translated into power by the time her foot made contact with something. The text also made mention of those hit by the kick being sent spinning. [2] To practice this technique San started a routine of running up the dojo wall and jumping off of it. Then she added into the kick practice routine. Before long San had picked up yet another move to utilize in the field. [3][ Wall Kick ]

The next technique in this set was also one that could be rather useful in the forests of Konoha. It apparently involved leaping up and grabbing something above you. Following that one would swing off of the grabbed object to build momentum and strike. [1] Simple enough in in theory and execution. Getting a running start San leaped into the rafters and grabbed hold of the wood. She then swung herself forward into a kick. [2] Landing was easy as well by this point. Taking a moment to stretch the girl yawned lightly. Perhaps there was more challenging things for her to learn. [3] [ Swinging Fury ][ S t a g e T h r e e ]

San got what she wished for as her eyes peered over the scroll. Becoming faster and more agile was key. Her coordination had to be top notch too. [1] This was about stringing together what she knew into a combo. Chaining attacks together could a create a whirlwind of blows which would pound her opponent into submission. Taking in a deep breath, San focused her mind and centered her spirit. [2] This was big league stuff. Something that only an adept of a martial art could manage. Thinking back through the things she'd learned previously she created a combo within her mind. With the pattern held within the mind's eye san went to work. [3] Jumping into a forward handspring she shot forward feet first. Two kicks went out before she tucked into a flip. Stick out one leg she performed a falling kick off the rotation. [4] Landing on her feet the girl wiped away some sweat. Of course her style was about flexibility meaning she also did the combo backwards as well. The training was rather intense and it San breathing heavily. [5] Back and forth she went, stringing different combos together. Eventually she found herself rather satisfied with the training. Just for show the girl did a quick three kick combo. [6] [ Lesser Combo ]

Feeling rather pumped from that training had San feeling pretty good. With a certain eagerness she looked through the scroll for some other good stuff. It was then that she came to something that sounded pretty awesome. [1] Standing Hurricane? Sounds bitchin! she thought to herself silently. Reading through the details further gave a San a pretty good idea of what to do. Step one was moving into a hand stand. [2] Following that was rotational movement. By either transferring in momentum or using her she had to spin. Essentially it was all in the legs. [3] By using that rotational force she'd be able to enhance her kicks. In fact she'd actually be able to land a barrage of kicks. Though obviously as she kicked she'd slow down. [4] San would definitely have to watch out for her limits. Wouldn't want to use too many kicks and become slow as a turtle. At any rate she had a pretty good idea about how to do the technique. [5] [ Standing Hurricane ]

Apparently it was hurricane season. The next technique in the scroll was named in a very similar way to the first. Clearly this meant that they were similar in style. [1] Aptly named 'Flying Hurricane' this was an areal variant of the technique. Instead of hand standing she would jump into the air. Then from a twisting of the legs rotational momentum would be gained. [2] After which she'd have to snap her legs out and deliver a barrage of kicks. Much like the earlier version this multi hit attack would slowly rob her momentum with each kick. Meaning she'd have to watch how many kicks she through out. [3] Of course after learning standing hurricane this really didn't seem too tough. San ran through it in her head a couple times to see how it might feel. In the end she felt good about this technique. [4] [ Flying Hurricane ]

Finally she came to the final hurricane of the season. This one was rather similar to the flying hurricane. Though perhaps that was only in terms of it being done while in the air. [1] You see according to the text this one started off with a chakra enhanced jump. Though there was a foot note about being able to skip that part if already falling. Either way same difference. [2] Similar to the other techniques, it relied upon rotational momentum. In this case that momentum was created by flipping in mid air. Finally that momentum was transferred to a falling kick. [3] It was interesting that despite the hurricane name, only one kick was performed. Perhaps the designation was more about the rotational power. That would explain it. [4] Linguistics aside, San understood the technique well enough. Use a little chakra to get real high, and then let gravity do its thing. Simple really. [5] [ Falling Hurricane ] [ S t a g e F o u r ]

Ayame Araki of the Raigyo Clan, Kunoichi of the Hidden Leaf Village.

XXX The time of relaxation was nigh over when her late-lunch was finished, the sushi being her favorite addition to the dish. The bento box was closed tight, the velvet wrapped back around it as it was put away in a small sack near the katana. She took a single deep breath, long and steady and exhaled longer while rising to her feet with katana in hand. There was some more practice to be had and tired she was far from, quite the opposite. With a slight twirl and a smile upon her face, Ayame clutched the sleek weapon and slid it free from its sheath.

XXX Chakra flowed from the woman in a swirl of visible colors ranging from white to blues and different hues of purples and violets, a wispy fog encircling the steel blade. Graceful waves of pure spiritual energy swirled around her as the woman stepped into different forms from the martial arts she knew from practice. The chakra flowed with her movements, mirroring her every move. It widened in an area when she made a turn and pulled into a wave with her cuts and swings of the blade, yet it spilled out over the Dojo in a ground fog when she was at rest.

XXX Chakra control was a fundamental part of her training as the woman went through form after form, her swings quick and short with a subtle change in stance. It was quick, fluid and to anyone that would be on the receiving end of the cold steel, deadly. It was like a dance, a movement of deliberate efficiency with an addition of grace that just came naturally to it all. She turned the sword high above her head and transitioned into a middle, neutral stance with the blade held just off to the side of the waist. Her visible chakra aura had since died down, simmering around her like a heated mirage with fading fluctuation of blue and violet around her as if it were a faint fog.

XXX Feet firmly planted on the ground, eyes closed and senses tuned to her surroundings, her focus was intense as she drew on a meditative state of mind. Sound of other shinobi in the dojo was all that could be heard, she strained herself to focus only on maintaining her stance and be still as possible. Rising from neutral to high, her hands rested on the sword as it was raised up above the head as if poised for a chopping action. Now both legs were slightly bent at the knee, back straight and eyes still closed with an intense focus. The steel blade of the katana had a shine to it, light from the sun gleaming off its polished surface while she held the blade still while she herself moved into another stance low down. Locked Formless - Katana C-Rank

XXX With a few more turns and twists, Ayame flailed the sword now more erratically for a brief moment as it twirled in the hand. Falling to one knee, the katana was slammed home into its scabbard with a soft click as Ayame bent her head down. Breathing lightly, it was slow and steady as she eased herself down from exerting both spirit and body in her forms while she let her mind wander back to reality. Rising finally with the katana held at her side, blade now sheathed and thumb resting on the tsuba, Ayame looked around the Dojo for a second as some of the students stopped their training.

XXX A low rumble shook ever so slightly beneath her feet accompanied by the sound of a distant rumble, even more faint another sound followed it with a heavy rumble. She looked around more and felt a growing sense of tension as the glass all around cracked momentarily. An explosion of sound erupted out soon enough, everything simultaneously going to hell as the once blue sky was also blackened by a a rapidly approaching squall of glittering sand.

XXX Ayame had very little time to actually react as she felt her heart sank deep with widened eyes as the katana slid free from its sheath with chakra roaring to life now. Deep violet energy whipped around the kunochi as the sword cleared the scabbard with a thick, heavy chakra coating enshrouded the very same steel blade that been used in her form practicing earlier. Screams echoed in her ears before they were soon overcame by the roar of an approaching glass hail and sandstorm blasting through the hall of the Dojo.

XXX "Twin Blade Deflection!" Was the sole phrase shouted out as the sword was held before her in both hands, kimono whipping back and forth in the created gale as she stood before the approaching death. The blade was ablaze with raw energy as she entered a flurry of swings and motions, moving her body quickly and deftly with the entire body spinning and dancing about. Chakra coated the steel of her sword with a defensive layer, using the technique to ward off heavy blows of large shards of glass in deft moves. Yet she doubled her movements with a second ethereal blade swiftly waving through the air, aiding in her bladed defense.

XXX Her chakra flared brightly as the woman maintained her composure, jaw set and eyes half squinted as her very spiritual power flared to life. Her kimono started to shred from missed deflections, blood splattering bits of her clothing. Yet she prevailed and her bladed defense warded off the worst of what was to come, and soon it was over as quick as it came as she was left standing still then.

XXX Left in her high stance, katana held high above the head, edge pointing directly to the sky, Ayame breathed heavily from her exhaustion. The chakra along her blade long since faded and she was not left unscathed yet with minimal damage, a cut across the cheek, lacerated fingers, a long cut along her kimono exposing her left shoulder and a few other small cuts and rough patches. Her clothing was the worst for wear, half of her kimono went from pristine silk to a tattered remains soaked with blood from her flesh wounds. Around her the damage was unthinkable as the dust had just began to settle and the sounds became more acute. She slowly lowered her sword to a single handed neutral grip by the waist and looked on at the dojo and heard the wounded before she seen them.

XXX Blood splattered along the tatami, bodies of the silent now laid strewn with some flayed by both sand and glass with large shards perforated like irregular arrows. Some still stood, others had not with wounds from eyes missing to even wounds that looked like burns -- yet was caused from an intense blast of sand. Ayame let her chakra aura cover the area as she could feel the emotion over herself while standing wide eyed. Formless B Ranked Katana Trained

XXX A normal day of training had quickly gone sideways with an unexpected turn of events as the Kunoichi dropped to both knees, dropping her sword from the right hand. She could feel the pain of those around her, fear and sorrow washed over her in waves as she withdrew her chakra and stopped feeling those around her. Shaking, her eyes watered as she remained paralyzed to what she just witnessed with staggered breath and rapid blinks to fight off the tears. The knot in her stomach churned more as the over exposure of so much negative emotions hit her again even when she canceled the technique with her now falling forward on hands and knees, vomiting up slightly.

XXX She heaved a few more times before struggling to pick herself up to her feet, clutching the sword she dropped with another look around the dojo. "Is... Anyone alright? Anyone!?" She said with a shout, looking around but at first all she heard was the wounded and dying. "I..." She started but stopped as she kept turning around in a daze, helpless to do anything as she saw the mess with eyes searching for something that was not there. Mind racing, thoughts clouded, she didn't know what she could do or what to do in that moment.

Enchanting Aura ~ In addition to the Pheromones and Scents of the Raigyo Clan, Ayame's chakra nature is intoxicating to others even without a medium. When manifesting chakra, the aura can be used as a catalyst for Raigyo Emotives that would otherwise require a medium of flowers. Using it in this matter becomes a Complex cost, taking Stamina as well as Chakra. Cannot be used for anything higher than A Rank Emotives and doesn't affect further than Fifty feet. Use of Emotives and Floral jutsu outside of the Chakra Manifestation's effect are independent of one another. This doesn't create or utilize any floral jutsu on its own, only acting as a medium for Emotives. Chakra Manifestation Ability

Kihakugan ~ Dojutsu usage allows for Eyesight based Ninjutsu for 50% extra the cost, additionally the user's sight's unable to be picked up by another Dojutsu such as the Sharingan. Bloodline

    Post Summary

Chiyo invoked the spirit of her will and embraced the chakra manifestation in the sword as she swung in a dervish of swings. The chakra coated blade was able to deflect a portion of the damage sent forth from the sand/glass eruption but left her partially wounded. Additionally she was unable to do anything about her surroundings.

User Image Within the dojo murmured sounds of worry and concern soon silenced the sounds of training. A low rumble was increasing in intensity and volume as something approached. The light from outside darkened as the sun was blotted out and screams could be heard in the distance. Whatever was coming was not good. That was when anything made of glass exploded and sand filled the air. Thinking on her feet the young kunoichi dived for cover behind a weapon wrack in the corner of the room. It was far away from any windows and doors as well. Between the positioning, the metal gunbai covering her back like a turtle's shell, and the wrack of weapons she was fairly safe. Despite that San still felt the painful sting of cuts on several of her extremities even while she crouched down in that corner. When it was all over all she could hear was the moans of the more heavily injured and a girl crying out for other survivors.

Standing up caused sand and bits of glass to slide off her gunbai onto the floor quietly as it landed among the other drifts of sand and glass. With little regard for delicacy in this situation the Uzumaki woman pushed the weapon wrack to the floor so that her exit from the corner was easier. "Yo shy girl! I got some cuts and probably a shard or two in me but I'm fine otherwise." Her voice cut through the other voices in the room as San spoke from the chest and amplified the volume of her words. "You hurt at all?" Taking a moment to dust herself off before approaching the other genin, she was careful to watch her step. There was no reason to callously step upon the injured that lay strewn about the floor.

Sung arrived at the dojo a little worse in appearance then he had been previously. A bit of time had been spent helping out civilians in the town (-100 Stamina) that had been injured. Due to this the oni now sported a lot of blood over his body, none of it that was his of course. Entering into the dojo he spotted a pair of girls who seemed to have just blocked the glass shards that had just happened, one of em even had a gunbai. He could get excited about that later, BUSINESS FIRST.

"Good to see some healthy faces around here! This glass s**t was caused by a trio that I had just seen out in the woods, no idea where the hell they ran off to but they are likely somewhere in the village. I'm Sung Oni, literally just got here a few weeks ago. This is one hell of a welcome" Sung said, not explaining his blood soaked body to much, really he had almost completely forgotten about it. From the looks of the two they had escaped any lethal damage which was good, especially if those other three showed up out of the blue.

The mans own gunbai was held still lazily in his right hand, well a pair of brass knuckles settled in the left. It seemed he was ready for a fight, as usual.
