The spouse and I having a conversation about art:

Me: Most artists I've talked to, both guys and girls, seem to have a preference for drawing women, possibly because they're a lot easier to draw.

Spouse: Why?

Me: Because they're curvy and curves are fun. Your hand naturally wants to follow the curves. Actually, I think that's why men like drawing them so much. Their hands are used to following curves.

Spouse: Is that why women prefer drawing women too?

Me: Because their hands are used for following curves? rofl Sure, why not.

Spouse: No, I just figured they were secretly lesbian. xd

Me: Most just seem to think that women's bodies are more visually appealing and artistic. When they think of a work of art or a masterpiece, they think of the female form.

Spouse: It's not like all art is just of women, though. What about stuff like the statue of Atlas and the work of Michelangelo like the Sistine Chapel?

Me: I know... there's also the Statue of David. So men can be artistic looking too. That's why I want to be able to do both instead of just focusing on one gender.

Spouse: Oh... so you go both ways, then? wink
