I fall into the fence of the two categories, one I Love ongoing stories. But at the same time I Love linked stories. The Skywalker arc of Star Wars and Rogue One, or the entire MCU for two examples. That said, if I had to chose one... Ongoing wins.

Only Althea the blackguard was built with the intention of replacing Ruin, if he died. As I felt the team would still need a striker in his wake.

I create characters that usually end up being deleted. Most of which are just used as planned npc's for game ideas that never become more than a thought exercise. Are "I wonder..." test builds or creative writing practice material(and judging by my posts, they suck at that neutral ).

P.S.: Technically, I could bring Rhaun instead, he only needs minor level fixes and is already a favorite of mine.

Hey guys ... remember that time when the campaign accidentally became an evil campaign and I lost my character because she went on a killing spree, starting with this ritual lady and every soldier that tries to stop her from leaving with as much ritual supplies as she could carry?

I do! Fun times...

Though, I can't remember did Kouri use the General's note? I mean "anything you need" was supposed to be covered, including her Ritual book, supplies and all their medical supplies twisted

I am kidding!

"I was just trying to talk Valac here to come with me to the church. You should come to and you could teach us to prey and stuff."

On the topic of organized religion...

"Did... did you mean 'pray'?"

"Did I stutter? >: ("

Kow, does Arian citizens have look to then?

I mean, Norse men have been described as tall and pale. Asians tend to be short with slanted eyes. I am wondering if there is a unique most humans would have that betrays their regionality.

And does Aria have a national anthem?

Kuori did show the note to the clerk earlier but she pointed out it was written specifically to the quartermaster for traveling supplies.

SCN to answer your question yes, but the differences between the humans indigenous within this region subtle, I actually rolled a check in secret to see if you would recognize Alabaster as Arian but you didn't succeed. Yes, Aria would have an anthem, but anthems are hard and I'm not going to bother making a detail like that unless it becomes relevant to the story. I barely have enough time to run this adventure as it is. sad

I just want to remind everyone everything is not hunky dory with the fort simply because they are no longer trying to arrest you. Ilikan is suppose to be escorting the party out and you have a feeling that if you don't soon depart, you will be forced to.

I was only wondering about the anthem for something I could mention Ruin singing/whistling when he is bored, scared, etc. instead of a drinking song from Jaws. smile The actual words of the anthem wouldn't matter in that manner.

Blah, I 200% do not remember anything about the Wounded One. Since it's bedtime, I'll hunt down the post tomorrow. Apologies.

Don't bother looking. It was a throwaway line. My brother was going to play a Paladin in a upcoming 5e game, I was going to recreate Ruin for. Long story cut short to help him with his character's backstory I filled him in on Ruin and what I decided for the Wounded One.

This is the first time I remember talking about the Wounded One in detail in the campaign. Before this point, it was an entity that wanted to take Ruin soul and made a bargain for it. Normal warlock stuff... But, the Heroes of the Fallen Kingdom book says infernal pact hexblades are often a target of a devil's ire. I just wanted to add a little depth to Ruin's backstory.

Snipped part on the Infernal Pact for Hexblades
Quote:
Infernal Pact While the fey pact embraces speed and elegance, the infernal pact is all about brutal strength and powerful attacks. By using infernal laws against the rulers of the hells, this pact allows you to steal power from devils without making any offering in return. However, the strain of performing this act and the power you channel through your pact is a burden on your physical vitality...

And another on the Blade of Annihilation
Quote:
The origin of the blade of annihilation is not entirely known. Some believe that the powerful tiefling warlock who created the first infernal pact created the blade. Others believe that it is the remains of an ancient curse placed upon Asmodeus, lord of the Nine Hells, for his treachery in slaying the god remembered as He Who Was and rising to rule all devilkind. What is known is that although infernal pact hexblades are hated and loathed by devils, those hexblades bearing a blade of annihilation are met with even greater wrath. This might be due to the fact that some believe the blade is crafted from the essence of slain devils, and that their life force is what powers a hexblade’s pact.
There might be some truth to the thought that the blade is a partially sentient being, for it seems to exult whenever it is used to defeat an enemy. With soul eater, you unlock the weapon’s ability to drain a foe’s life essence to empower your attacks. Blazing doom of the void stokes the weapon’s bloodlust, causing flames to lick along its edge as it slices into your enemy. A hexblade wielding this weapon hears a faint roar in his or her mind with each strike, as if some faint, distant being seeks greater acts of bloodlust. Rumors also abound of hexblades who bore this weapon and fell into the service of evil, rising to become great champions of the hells.

I had a silly thought for disarming, I know our event is written in stone and it probably won't come up again. Meh...

Treat it like a grapple attack, but if the opponent doesn't break it by other means by the end of their turn they both roll a saving throw. Winner gets the weapon. In the case of a tie the disarming "fight" continues.

If Kuori has to spend her future in jail ... I have a replacement in mind that I am going to try to build today.

Tornados tore up my hometown, so I am off work.

Question!

Lets say you take a feat at Heroic level, then at paragon level your class feature gives you the same bonus as that feat, can you then swap the feat?

Per standard 4e rules you can swap out any one thing (trained skill/feat/power) per level up, excluding race/class/ability scores, as long as it doesn't impact your meeting requirements for anything else you have. I don't see any exception to that in the house rules, so unless GM says otherwise you should be fine.
