All bloodlines have their own ' cheap ' effects if you will
Byakugan - 360 degree view
Paper body - Almost impossible to hit and do actual damage
Ranmaru - Negates bloodline altogether
I could go on but I'm le tired

Kedo, I think people have a valid argument against the sharingan. After all, it's considered one of the bloodlines of the six paths. Only thing to compete with it so far is the theoretical Rinnegan line of the Uzumaki (speculated upon by offhanded comments of Madara).
