Chitsa stuck her tongue at him. "Yea right." She slowed down her pace now that he wasn't in her way. It wasn't like she really was in any hurry to get back to her teepee. "Mhmm. Sure." The filly kept on walking straight forward not looking back.
Though she was surprised to still hear him walking behind her that she couldn't help but glance back. "Chitsa." She said rather hesitantly and returned her gaze back in front of her. Chitsa's glittering tail flickered back and forth, making a soft 'swish' noise as she moved.
Man. This soquili was weeeeird. Guys never did any good to the world anyway. Sisika said that they were all bums and liars. Chitsa seemed to believe everything that Sisika said... Scar didn't seem like a bum or a liar but she sure didn't want to find out if he was.

((Bandit & Atrocity Meeting.)) Meeki Bandit walked along the clearing. She wasn't quite sure where she was headed but wasn't paying attention either. She hadn't seen her sister for a few days and was starting to miss her deeply. Ailurinae was probably off exploring, like usual.
"Never saw no fun in 'splorin, meself," she mumbled under her breath. What was there to explore, really? Her sister would be content chasing a butterfly for hours. Bandit shook her head gently and continued to walk. She loved the evening when the night grew dark. She loved everything dark. At least the day always ended well for nothing could beat the beauty of the night. Fidsah Stealing out from the depths of the growing gloom, Atrocity suddenly loomed over Bandit. His nostrils flared momentarily as he took in the sight before him. His lips pulled back in a rictus of malicious glee.
"Well, what have we here?" he asked. "A little lady out for a nice little stroll? What brings you out here, this time of night..." His voice turned threatening as he finished the question. "...all alone?" Meeki Bandit reared back at the sudden intrusion to her privacy. Who the hell did he think he...
Bandit's mouth dropped open at the sight of the stallion. Words excaped her and thoughts fled. After a moment, she finally mustered up a reply, "Nothing wrong with being alone."
The creature before her was amazing. Eerily, scarily, most certainly frightening but amazing nonetheless. She wanted to ask him what he was but once again the words refused to come out so she just stopped and stared and the strange intruder. Fidsah Snorting once, Atrocity gave a reply. "There's nothing wrong, of course, until you find yourself wishing you weren't. I can make that happen. Here, where there's no one else to see, no one else to hear."
Atrocity took a step forward. "Don't you know you're not supposed to talk to... strangers?" He chuckled darkly. Meeki "Are ye threatnin' me or are ye asking me?" Bandit was confused. She had come across some mean Soquili before and considered herself one of them but never had one actually threatened her.
As he took a step closer, she took a step back in response. "Ye suren look strange. But how is one s'posed to know who really be strange and who be not if they don't talk? No one tells me what to do anyhow." Bandit wasn't quite sure what to think about this male. Something wasn't right though. What if he really did want to hurt her? At least he was.. different. Fidsah "Take it as you will." His eyes narrowed dangerously. He came close to a snarl, but then seemed to rethink his next action. His head rolled ever so slightly to one side for half a moment before he spoke again.
"Know you, how might you look, if you had survived the fires of Hell?" Atrocity's head cocked ever so slightly to the other side. "Might you want to find out? You might, if you tell me what I may not do again." Atrocity took yet another step forward. Meeki Bandit took another step back. She wondered if she should kick the stallion and make a run for it. She wasn't sure what he was speaking of but it didn't sound good. She believed he was capable of doing great harm to anyone he had half a mind to. She just hoped he wouldn't want to hurt her.
"If ye don't like what I be saying, then don't listen to me. Ye spit yer threats o' like a snake's venom and ye be doing a good job a'scarin me too, but ye aren't my master and ye can't be telling me what to do. I have not told ye what ye should be doin' or not either so no disrespect was had." Bandit took another step back for good measure. "Suren there's a lot of mares in this area that be simple minded and would faint at the sight o'ye. Ye be wastin yer time with me." Though she wouldn't admit it, her heart was beating very quickly and she wasn't sure if she was incapable of fainting herself. Fidsah Baring his fangs, Atrocity took a powerful step forward as his wings flared back. "Fear is one thing." He took another powerful step forward, and flared his wings outward. "Pain. Pain is another."
He dipped his head, bringing forward his sharp horn. Snapping back the powerful muscles in his neck, he brought the horn up violently.
"Wasting my time? I think not. Though, if I am, I may have to find another way to make this encounter more... interesting... Wouldn't you agree?" Atrocity took one more violent step forward. Meeki Bandit took a few more steps back. That horn did look like it could tear through flesh easily enough and she was sure he would do that if the mood struck him. She snorted nervously and glanced around to see if anyone was nearby. Perhaps he would grow bored with her soon and move on to a new victim.
"Don't much agree with ye, meself and the way I be figurin', it's time for me t'be leaving anyhow. Good luck finding others t'make mis'rable and all." Bandit lowered her head in an act of respect while continuing walking backwards.
She still didn't know what to think of the male. He probably would have been considered handsome if his features weren't twisted up to look so evil and ugly. She couldn't help but admire the raw evilness of him. As much as she wanted to know more about him.. she couldn't wait to get as far away from him as possible. ((To be continued..))

Scar's eyes widened at the tongue being stuck at him. That had never happened to him before. A little curious, he stuck his out back at her.
After a moment of following, he quickened his pace so that he was walking along side her. "I always wondered," he started as he lowered his head to get a closer look at her body, as if searching for something, "Just how do you girls get cooties anyway, and how come it doesn't make you sick?"
Though it seemed the adult males were the ones to get sick and act weird around the females, Scar didn't want to risk it. He didn't know if he was capable of catching the cooties or not since he was just a foal and he hoped he would never get them. He didn't want to be like those crazy males with wobbly knees, drooling all the time at females. Cooties seemed pretty strong.

Meeki Whisper tossed his head back and grinned as Yei followed. At first she seemed further back but when he turned to look again, she was closer. Perhaps her smaller frame gave her an advantage.. or perhaps he just wasn't very fast. He charged forward as a rush came over him and the apple trees were just in sight.
He slowed down as he came nearer to them and stopped a few feet away. He looked around on the ground for any ripe apples but most appeared to have bruises from the fall. Whisper reared up on his hind legs and plucked a nice looking apple from a branch and dropped it on the ground nearby. He repeated the process a few more times so that he and Yei could have a couple apples each. What a sweet treat they could be.
Turning he nudged a couple of the apples to Yei's direction. "They are very tasty," he assured her.
---------
Meeki smiled. "Well then, I will definately accept your invitation to guide me so that I can see the mountain you speak of so fondly." She walked over and picked out the band he had admired. Kneeling beside Achak, she clasped the band around his wrist, blushing faintly.
"What a nice fit. It's almost perfect!" she exclaimed happily. She pulled herself up and went back to her rock, absently brushing off the dirt that clung stubbornly to her dress. "You're quite the athlete." Yei mused delicately as she watched him rear up and expertly pluck the apples from the branches - granted she could have done that herself but not qith the same amount of balance that he could mustre, how did he maintain balance like that anyway?
She gave a small snort though as she caught her breath and very tentatively lowered her head to sniff at one of the apples before trapping it beneath her hoof and biting into it, needless to say she gave a small whicker of appreciation as she savoured the sweet juices that ran from its centre and onto her tongue - these were much better than grass.
"You're right, they are." She mused before furrowing her brow, "How did you find them?"
---
"Mmm..." He glanced at the band now ensnaring his wrist and seemed to nod appreciatively as he took the opportunity to admire the small jewels upon it - it had been a while since he had last worn any sort of decoration and he couldn't help but release a chuckle.
"We come down the mountain side to gather herbs and return to it decorated as though we had just been to a festival." He jested, referring to Yei's now braided tail and his newly acquired jewel, "It is beautiful but I must confess that it may become damaged in my wanderings so if I may -" He readjusted his legs until he was more comfortable.
"May I request permission to visit you should it be in need of repair?"

Chitsa couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as he stuck his tongue back at her. Why was this guy following her? How... creepy. "Cooties? We're born with them, man." She had no idea actually, she had a vague idea of what cooties were but how girls got cooties without getting sick were beyond her. "I have... no idea." She shrugged softly and continud to walk forwards.

Whisper blushed as he watched Yei bite into the apple. He was thankful that she liked it. "I saw a mare head this way when I first ventured into the clearing. I had waited until she had left, then came down to see what was so special about it. Though the ones on the ground are not bad, I find those in the trees to be tastier."
Whisper lowered his head to take a bite out his apple. Again he found himself thankful that she liked the treat. Perhaps he wouldn't look quite so strange to the mare now.
He founder himself admiring the mare again. Her coat seemed so much brighter outside of the forest and out in the open. It was almost as if the sun danced upon it.
-----
Meeki wanted to beam at his question and had to work at maintaining her composure. "Of course. You need not ask. I would be happy to repair it for you whenever needed. You have been most kind in keeping me company. I didn't.." she paused briefly, "realize how lonely I really was until today."
It was true. Perhaps a part of it was due to Glamrock's absence though she fully understood why the mare was busy. Meeki used to enjoy being alone but found such was not the case lately.

Scar sighed before turning to walk back to where he had been. He was used to no one liking him or wanting him around. He was rude afterall but it seemed to come naturally to him. He rather liked it as well.
"Oh well, not like they matter anyway," he reassured himself. Stupid girls. Stupid Soquili. Who needed friends? Scar glanced back once more at Chitsa before sighing again. He unfolded his wings and attempted to fly and like usual, got about a foot off the ground before dropping back down to it. He wanted to learn to fly. Maybe then.. other things wouldn't matter as much.

Chitsa couldn't help but glance back at him but then she quickly looked forward again. She heard his wings flapping and she turns around this time. She was too busy trying to ignore him to even notice his wings. She tilts her head as she sees them. They were much... different then her own. "I can't fly either..." She added with a soft tone of voice.

A pained expression came over Scar's face. "I can fly..." he pouted, "I'm just not very good at it... yet. But today is going to be the day I really fly. I can feel it." Scar turned over to face Chitsa. "Maybe you can fly today too." He cocked his head to the side and looked at the other foals wings. They certainly were unusual but he had seen that other butterfly winged Soquili fly quite well. She had even claimed to be a high flyer.

A delicate smile flicked across the equine's lips as she continued to nibble on the apple in silence. It wasn't that she didn't want to talk but she deemed it rude to talk with her mouth full and the majority of the time she was never easily understood - it came out as 'erfujnidarqu?'...
"I see," At last she afforded herself the time to lift her head and arch her neck in order to relieve the tension in her neck, "I must confess I rarely spend time in the forest, it is usually just a transitional area between my home and the Clearings where most congrigate." She explained and shook her mane (which had of course been tended to) so that the sun's rays could tentatively caress at the number of colours riddled throughout it - if anything that was the most 'firey' part of her being with the exception of her personality.
Still, although she refrained from admitting it she had taken the opportunity to steal the occasional glance at his own subtly coloured coat and had to admit that she was terribly envious of such a plain and yet exquisite colour - she had always found that most deemed her too colourful to be of any interest.
"So, what other foods do you like?" She enquired curiously as she snuffled at another apple and set her hoof on it once again, "Just apples?"
---
"We all require a little company now and again." He agreed as he watched her eyes light up briefly, it was in this that he began to wonder if she deemed it necessary to hide how she felt all the time - if so, he was going to have quite a hard time deciphering it all because he was horrible when it came to understanding women (even his mother scared him).
"And I don't deem it as kind in keeping someone company, in all honesty I am doing this for reason of my own too -" He grinned childishly and tapped at his cheek as though in thought, "I mean, wouldn't every man stop to talk with a pretty woman when he encountered her?" He jested lightly.

Continuing to stare at him, she couldn't help but feel skeptical about being able to fly period. "Alright. Whatever you say." Chitsa shrugged slightly at his comment. "I've already tried today. It didn't work." Sisika kept telling her over and over that her wings just weren't big enough to support the petite foal.

Whisper swallowed the bit of apple that was in his mouth and glanced back at Yei. "I haven't tried a lot of things. I just graze on whatever grass may be available. It gets harder though when the coldness comes."
"What is there to eat up in the mountains? Do they have different things up there than are down here?" Whisper often wondered if different areas offered a variety of different things. "When will you be heading home? Perhaps I could escort you there when the time comes if it's almost night. Dark things tend to come out when the sun goes down."
A shudder came over Whispers body as he remembered the creature he had caught sight of the other night in the clearing. Though he was sure others had saw him as well, it seemed so few ever spoke of it. Perhaps they thought it would just go away if they ignored it.
-----
Meeki blushed furiously. She wasn't an unattractive woman but surely there were other females, many that were younger than she that were far more appealing to males. They seemed to be taught how to care and tend to a man and Meeki was lacking in that knowledge. Still, as with any female, she was flattered at the compliment and hoped it was said with honesty. It wasn't every day that she actually enjoyed the company of another, nor with one as handsome as Achak.
"You are most kind," she started before catching herself and laughing softly. "I need to stop saying things like that. Thank you. Do you have to head back any time soon? I don't know much about herbs or what you may need them for. I hope I'm not keeping you from something far more important."
Meeki found herself wondering what Achak's teepee would be like. You could usually tell a lot about a person based on their teepee and the way it's decorated. Is one materialistic? Simple? Tidy? Dirty? It was always interesting comparing teepees to the person. Meeki always thought her teepee reflected herself well. Simple but tidy. Decorated with the things she loves to do. It was really quite perfect for her.

Scar was a firm believer that he wouldn't have his wings if he weren't able to use them so was sure they would be able to fly. All they needed was some.. motivation. He had a few ideas on how it could be done and decided the easier option would be best to start off with.
"Okay, what if.. we chased each other. Like.. you could chase me with your cooties and try to kiss me.." Scar made a truly disgusting face at that mere idea, "and I would chase you and try to bite you and kick you. I noticed when one has something to get away from, they try harder. Maybe we just need to try harder."
Scar took a couple steps towards the other foal and waited for her response. He didn't think it was a terrible idea but he had no idea how a girl would take it.

"There's very little to eat up there," Yei gave a lose shrug as she bit into the apple and swallowed a chunk, her gaze focused on his hooves for a while until she had finished, "Very coarse grass, it lacks in nutrients but it's strong enough to survive the winter thanks to such harsh conditions on the mountainside," She explained and gave a chuckle as she took another bite out of her apple.
It was during the process of chewing that she began to consider his offer of escorting her back to her home, it was terribly chivalrous and it certainly wasn't a gesture she was used to but it did bring a pleasurable flutter to her chest that made her eyes gleam for the briefest of instance...
"I usually head home once it is dark," She confessed at last and lifted her head so that she could fix her gaze on his fine features as opposed to dining on the apple continuously, "When everyone else has deemed it necessary to return to their teepees I make my way back up the slopes - I prefer to be sociable and it can be quite lonely in the mountains." She explained more fully and flicked her gaze upwards for a few moments and towards the mists.
"I've never encountered anythign horrible but -" She smiled shyly and shuffled her hooves for a few moments as though self-concious, "And escort would be lovely."
---
"Well," Achak looked up critically to survey the sunlight flickering through the canopy. So far, the light of day seemed to remain and the hours were becoming longer as spring approached so he wasn't in that much of a rush - although he did get the feeling she was trying to make him leave with continual references to when he would be leaving.
"I was going to pursue other herbs in the forest for a few more hours." He murmured as he turned his gaze back to his back before flicking it towards Meeki once more, his eyebrow raised inquisitively.
"Although I have the suspicion you would rather I wandered off now, I am sorry if I outstayed my welcome?"

Whisper wasn't sure if he would like the mountains by the way it sounded. He much preferred to be on flat low ground as he had a fear of heights but everything should be attempted at least once before one makes a final decision on it.
Whisper relaxed a bit as she accepted the future escort. He really enjoyed the company of this mare and a part of him was really worried that any Soquili, be it male or female should not go wandering out alone. He didn't mind since he usually had Echo around and they made a fine team but he found himself genuinely worried about Yei.
He couldn't help but notice she became even prettier when she smiled. "I hope you never encounter anything horrible.." he finally added barely above a whisper. There was a seriousness to the statement as well. "You should never become frightened or put in danger."
-----
Meeki opened her mouth as if to say something and quickly closed it. It wasn't that she wanted him to leave. It was just that she found herself becoming more and more flustered as she got to know him better. She wasn't used to such feelings or how to deal with them.
"If I came off as pushing you away, I am sorry. That was not my intention, not really. I just find myself.. unsure of what to do or say. Never before have I had company for this long. I don't want to disappoint and I do worry that I could be keeping you from something more important. Perhaps I could go with you while you find the other herbs you need? Maybe I could even help?" Meeki really doubted she would be much help but it would give them something to do, something to talk about and perhaps she would feel less flustered and embarassed around him.
