The second Molerat whirled around to lash out at her again and Shehk, in no mood for Nonsense, took her Taming stick and smacked it with a resounding SNAP right against its face, sending it reeling and falling back onto its side for a moment.

For a second, Shehk pondered if she'd killed it, but it rose again, turning its eyes adoringly onto her as the first one had. Her jaw set and her lips tightened before she settled to wipe the blood off of her arm and leg from the assault of her two new followers.

"Kind of pesky things..." she groused.

Alex was so busy staring at the now completely docile creature standing in front of him to even notice Yin's approach...though once Yin spoke Alex may have jumped a little, turning towards him with wide eyes. "I...I think it's tame...maybe you are just hitting yours too hard?"

Indeed it did appear that Yin was splattered in fresh gooey gore and brains, which Alex could really appreciate the smell of on the other boil. It was really quite distracting, actually, and Alex had to fight not to just..put his hand's all over Yin. It took Alex a moment longer then usual to find those things called words, and use them.

"Well...good." He mumbled, smiling a little awkwardly at the other boil....

....only to have another mole dart in from out of nowhere and sink it's teeth into Alex's shoulder. "AGH! GETITOFF" He yelled, while raising his taming stick and beating at the creature until it let go.

Pesky is a good word for it. Riley responded as she whacked a new one nearby, and it clawed at her angrily. We would prefer if they died at our hand.. She eyed the one that followed her. Not attempt to join us.

Yin would have gotten it off, if another molerat had not charged at him at that moment. He held the stick in front of him, not even swinging it. The creature ran into the stick and...

A fresh wave of brains, flesh, and blood swept over him. Hitting it too hard? The only way he would not explode one of these things appeared to be if he just avoided touching it altogether. "Maybe something is wrong with my stick?" he questioned before eyeing the corpse. "Perhaps the Great Mantis thinks that I look good in brains?" He tried to joke half-heartedly.

In one final swing, Riley slammed down on the head of the second molerat, and it began to look up at her with those adoring eyes. She now had two large friends following her, and quite a large set of bitemarks in her shoulder. She held the bat loosely, and moved away so others could have their chance, choosing instead to stand near Shehk and Jericho.

For a being who loved minions, she was certainly very surprisingly annoyed by these two.

The frost demon returned Roch's comment with a :T look, but mostly made light of what he said. As Moure said, four would be alright.

Edel raised her eyebrow at Gene's comment, wondering which demon could have said that. Well, now that she thought about it, it was probably true that some of them shouldn't be trusted with handshakes lest there be some unmentioned contract ... but those were the tricksters. As far as she was concerned, she hadn't struck some underhand deal using that simple gesture ... yet. Whatever the case, she didn't really mind.

The appearance of the janitor surprised the ghoul, but not as much as their task at hand. Edel stared at the issued taming stick and towel for some time, wondering how hard this could turn out to be. Better not do anything strange with it, she decided, seeing what had rather strangely happened to Sioban after licking the end of the stick. “In we go then,” she said, though she kept her skepticism about whether this was going to be interesting or not to herself. From the looks of it, it sounded more like they were manual labour rather than having an adventure. Too late to change that now.

The molerat Edel ran into upon entering the cave was given a sound prod on the nose with the taming stick, which although seemed to be a little effective in terms of hurting it, it retaliated with a rather nasty bite. Ouch.

The ghoul hissed in pain and proceeded to whack the Molerat on the side with the stick, prompting another bite from it. But then something rather strange happened and its agitated behavior stopped, the Molerat beginning to follow the ghoul around like a not-so-little puppy. Honestly, Edel wasn't too pleased with it despite its sudden change in attitude, but better than getting bitten she supposed.

The molerat had let go of Alex only long enough for the zomboil to turn around and face it, though it lunged in again and grazed his arm with it's sharp teeth before he pulled away. From behind, he heard another grisly explosion, and felt the warm globs of molerat that hit him in the back. He couldn't help it, he laughed, glancing towards Yin and...no, no! Don't get distracted now! He turned back towards his foe and gave it another firm thwack atop the head.

And then it stopped and stared at him with purest adoration as well.

Well ok then...that was finished. With a small shake of his head and an amused smile he turned towards the weremantis, finding him covered in yet another fresh wash of blood and gore. It was...strangely attractive (or maybe not that strange for a zombie) and he moved in close towards him. Since Alex had only been caught in the cross splatter a couple of times, his towel was much more suitably clean then Yin's was. He held it out to the boil now, thinking he could at the very least clean his face off. "This is turning out to be a lot more fun then I thought it would! Well, besides the getting bitten" He grinned, reaching out and knocking bits of flesh and goop off of the other boil.

Wait..was that a bit of brain on Yin's lower lip? Alex was suddenly having all of these..urges, all of which he knew Yin would likely not approve of. So, fighting against himself mentally, he reached up with his hand and lightly brushed the gore away with his thumb. If his hand lingered there on Yin's face a little longer then was necessary...well, let Yin worry about that. Alex wanted to do worse. This was a compromise.

Still not too pleased with the bites and the lumbering Molerat following her, the ghoul didn't treat the next Molerat she encountered too kindly, whacking it on the side with the taming stick in hopes that it would suddenly become more docile like the other did.

Nope.

Another bite was sustained and the frost demon was feeling very, very unhappy.

"As long as they're not biting me, I...can deal with this..." she murmured, looking at the a-doe-ring eyes that were looking up at her, grimacing, then sighing as she settled in with Riley and Jericho and their little..herd of followers. Were they going to take these guys outside?

That seemed like a bit of an annoying task. She wasn't liking this adventure much, but maybe after it stopped being a party of being bitten by all the things she'd like it more.

Maybe.

And so it got a whack on its head with the glowy end of the stick. That should straighten it out! And you know what? It did! The ghoul wasn't too sure what to feel about having two lovestruck and rather dopey looking Molerats following her around the cave – she might have preferred if they simply exploded like some of the others did.

Still, could be worse.

Everyone got properly greeted as he noticed them - his Knight, Neil from the dorms, the zombie boil who had shared his pit-iful exam demise. He moved to speak to them, but found himself intercepted by the teacher.

This was so exciting! Thackery eagerly took a towel from one of the gnomes, tying it around his neck like a cape before reaching to take one of the taming sticks. Taming! Oh, this would be so much fun. Lots of little tame creatures following behind him as he led them to freedom. Nobody wanted to live in a cave that was never visited. How would any of them get the proper love that they needed when nobody came to visit?

"I'm so glad someone else understands the need for humane treatment of creatures!" he chimed happily, lining up to enter the cave and await further instruction. He gazed around in awe, considering how fantastic it would be to have such a cave as his domain, and then - HUGE MINIPETS. They didn't have fur or pretty tails, but their teeth were kind of precious.

One flung itself at their instructor, and she said something about bonking. Wait. Bonking? On their heads?

The creatures didn't take very kindly to having their homes invaded, baring their teeth and advancing on them. And then his classmates were attacking, and there was blood, and he was pretty sure some mutant creaturebrains were on his face.

He screamed. For a very long time. And after he caught his breath, he screamed some more, putting some words with his volume this time.

"I THOUGHT YOU SAID THIS WAS HUMANE." He clutched the stick so hard his nails dug into the wood, wide eyes looking at the others in disbelief. "NO. No, no, no, what are you doing?! This is WRONG."

His ears were flat against his head, buried in his hair, and the Cerberus looked furious - a surprising appearance for anyone who knew him.

"It's not on purpose!" Muka snickered, wielding his stick like a sloppily swung baseball bat. He thwacked a rat in the face but it only seemed to make it mad. The beast recoiled and bit him on the arm. "You can do better, right? Prove you know how to do it right, yes?"

The strix did not know Thackery but decided that, with all the advancing beasts and the boil just standing there, that he would position himself in front of the Cerberus and beat at the defending beasts.

Ulmuka whirled his stick again and hit the molerat in the face again. It bit him once more but then, in a moment it stilled and was looking at him with big obedient eyes.

"Look! See?" The strix hopped happily, nursing a bite or two, but his rat was alive, tamed and not exploded. "It works."
