In his haste to try and fix things, he somehow managed to throw yet another wrong thing into the mixture.

Oh dear. This was not going to end well. Jericho stared down, taking note that it was losing heat pretty quickly.

Jericho just stopped and decided to handle things a little more carefully, lest he ends up blundering again. Alright. He could do this. Being very careful now, he manages to get something in correctly.

And then Jericho fumbled and dropped some more of the wrong things into the mixture.

This really wasn't going well.

Oh look. Something shiny caught Jericho's attention.

Not only was Xiomara getting distracted people watching, she was also looking at what everyone was wearing.

And she just couldn't stop looking at the dragon scales they were so shiny. She made a mental note to remember to pocket some before she left the class.

"I think your tongue's as long as my arm." Matteo said, grinning. The strings stayed there in Zephyros' mouth, thin and cold strands that weren't tight, but hardly budged as Zephyros pulled them, while the puppeteer listened intently to Professor Z as he spoke.

"A memory potion, huh?" Matteo murmured. He turned back to Zephyros. Belatedly remembering to remove the strings, he freed his friend's mouth before continuing. "Maybe it'd help with the dream."

The dream that haunted Zephyros every night. Despite how much distress those nightmares caused him, Zephyros seemed like he wanted to hold onto each half-remembered fragment he could.

'Must have been some dream.'

Matteo carefully set Peppino on his desk, beside the offered gloves and goggles. He replaced his own fingerless gloves with the new pair, snapped the goggles over his eyes, then snatched up Peppino and started towards the ingredients table.

"C'mon," He said over his shoulder. His visible eye lit up when he saw the whole collection up close. A particular few caught his interest, and his hands instantly darted out to grab them. Surely he could make something interesting with these...

Andrew probably would have liked this class, was oddly her first thought as she turned on the heater upon her desk. Well, it was dealing with fire and that he would probably be doing so much better than her at this were probably the main reasons.

Because while Maple was mixing and maintaining the temperature, obviously she wasn't doing such a great job. It sank degrees, distressing the little witch. Well, it was probably because she noticed AJ was actually in the same class as she was. Which prompted her to realize that the boil she had met at Scarentines was also present. Because when she looked back at her desk, yeah... not doing well.

How was she going to fix this? T___T

Complete concentration was going to have to solve this, and mental flustering and flailing. And a small moment of panic, to get it out of her system.

Didn't mean Maple was completely calm - really, she should be used to all of this by now - but she was at least finding herself getting back on track. The heat was rising and her ingredients were doing a little better in the mixture.

And then there was a spill, most likely her fault to boot. And all that hard work that Maple had managed was gone. ;A;

Something seemed to grab her attention from the floor, catching the light to pull herself from her disastrous work. Was that her cutting knife? Perhaps it fell on the ground when she was bumped.

Maple leaned down to retrieve it, only to find things were going so much worse.

Why was it getting so cold? Why was the temperature going down with each attempt she made in mixing this potion (her mother would be so displeased!) Why was she made to suffer so.

Rising frustration was rising. Even going at this at a different approach, adding the first ingredient a little more slowly without the others, Maple still found the temperature of her heater plummeting.

She gave up and rested her face on the desk.

Jericho just stopped after another wrong thing was put in.

He was worried he might blow something up at this point.

Shun glanced over at Hel as he overheard her ranting about something. He wasn't paying much attention, however. Instead, he just gathered up his things and got to work.

As he began, he paused as he felt a slight chill.
