Manga is the comic books with pictures and text
Anime is the cartoons with voices and moving figures

So hard to choose, but I would have to say that one of my many favorites would be Kamichama Karin, Ouran High School Host Club, Wolf's Rain, Trigun, Karin and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne.

My number one favorite as of now is Prince of Tennis. But I have loads of favorite animes like School Rumble, Naruto, Getbackers, Ouran High School Host Club, Shuffle, Fruits Basket, and the list just goes on and on.
