I listen to a wide variety of genres, but I'm also fairly picky when it comes to determining what is "good" music. I enjoy the various sub-genres of metal. Anywhere from thrash to folk - though I lean more towards black/folk and power metal. I love power ballads xd
Also, selected sub-genres of rock (generally heavy, alternative, classic, or punk; but again, only selected bands in those selected sub-genres). Occasionally, a little screamo (VERY selectively), and a little dance or techno (again, VERY selectively). Finally, classical. I'm a fan of Tchaikovsky and Beethoven. But yeah, I'm open to most genres and to experiencing new bands. And these days genres are becoming so blended and indistinct that it doesn't really matter as much as it used to.

Christian.
as in:
Christian rock
Christian hardcore
Christian metal
Praise and worship
Christian punk
Christian Celtic
Christian alternative rock
You get the point. I don't listen to most mainstream Christian because it's unimaginative and hardly personal or well-written.

Aside from that...rock, alternative rock, some rapcore, some punk (though there is no new punk, Christian or not, that I can seem to find.), classical, romantic, baroque, opera, musicals, choral music, whatever...

Most anything that has emotional substance. meaning the song has to be able to move my emotions in a good way(Note: I don't define a good way). I listen all the way from emo to classical to classic rock. If it has a point i will listen to it.

All of them.

Seriously though, I don't stick to specific genres. As I type this, I'm listening to the end of "Stronger" by Trust Company.

Now it's the Pump It Up remix of the Matrix theme.

And now it's "Steady Riot" by Big D. and the Kids Table.

Though, I'll admit, I tend to stick to rock(Including metal) and techno.

Rock, Pop-rock to Heavy Metal, lots of music that's rock in general (apart from hair metal). Ska. Acoustic stuff, Jack Johnson etc.

Rock and classical.

The sub-genres of if it that I like are: Hard Rock, Metal, Alternative and Classic.

I don't like much other then that. Everything else just doesn't sound like, "rock" to me.
