"Wow." Eunmi, being quite ignorant of Pokemon, didn't know that the creatures were capable of doing things like that. Dali was swept over by the waves, and felt better instantly.

"Eunmi Sung," the teenager said, extending her hand. "Emi, if you want. Thank you for helping us."

Shery shook Eunmi's hand. Then she let it go.

Robby would nod slowly, not really knowing how to respond to the strange woman and her apparent companion. The nurse, who was also sorta weird, was talking to them about the pokemon healing their wounds, and there had been a man in a cape that had carried out that weird guy's body. They must have been friends or something.

Instead of making some awesome one-liner that he totally had for this situation, the obese lad stepped closer to the healing pokemon, hands out towards the healing orb thingy like one would imagine people doing for a camp fire.

"Wh-what about Pokemon?" Henrietta asked as she looked at Shery. All three of hers were beat and unconscious, save Melty who was just literally burned out. "C-c, w-would you mind healing them too? Hum, p-please."

"Audino's powers work on people and pokémon," Shery said, kneeling down and keeping her hand on the pink pokémon's head, "Since it's a pulse style tech, you just have to be nearby and it'll fix you up."

She rubbed the back of her head, "So like, go ahead. I'm here to help."
PostPosted: Tue Jul 19, 2011 8:36 pm

With that, Henrietta let her three Pokeon out. Socant, burned and beaten, Frate about the same, Melty was still conscious, though.

He looked around as he exited his ball and then lowered his head shamefully. [I swear, this doesn't usually happen,] he said, referring to the fact that the pure fire on his head was gone.

Henrietta, getting a good look at her Pokemon in the light, realized just how messed up they were. She felt her eyes well with tears as the world blurred. "E-veryone..." she whispered to herself.

Forgetting rule one, she grasped the trio, making sure to keep them close to the pulse as she hugged them. "I-i'm so s-sorry," she sobbed.

Eunmi looked at Henrietta, her brow furrowing lightly.

"Hey, you did the best you could - you took a beating for them too," Eunmi said. "You shouldn't feel sorry for that..."

The teenager looked over at Dali and sheepishly rubbed her arm. She'd barely gotten a scratch, and Dali was, overall, alright. She felt bad that all the bad luck fell on Henrietta's shoulders.

Henrietta looked at Eunmi and sniffled and wiped her eyes and nodded slowly. "H-hum, b-but..." She looked down at her Pokemon, Melty phasing into her and exiting from her back with a frown to escape the hug. "I don't want them to get hurt at all. Eunmi," she looked at the teen, "y-you... know martial arts right? c-could you teach me how to fight?" Henrietta recalled Eunmi's sweet moves during the previous battle. When she'd saved her from Jeffery the first time, anyways, the second time was more like something Henrietta herself would do.(just kickin' people in the nads)

"So like, I hope you don't mind me asking," Shery looked about, from person to person to pokémon, "What in the heck happened here anyway? You guys look like you lost a fight with a blender."

Audino's Heal Pulse finished. Her hands smoked a little as they cooled off. Using it so much in succession was tiring. With a little rest, she'd be able to get back to treating everyone. In the meantime, with most major wounds dealt with, she'd plop onto the floor, hands in her lap, and sigh.

"What?" Eunmi looked weird. Like a combination of stunned and embarrassed.

"Th-that was just lucky," Eunmi said. "Adrenaline... or something."

Eunmi avoided eye contact with Henrietta and then glanced to Shery.

"I'm not quite sure on the details," she said. "All I know is those guys wanted my Pokemon."

"O-oh," Henrietta said to Shery.

Henrietta told Shery what happened. Luckily Trop isn't totally lame and Henrietta said stuff.

"H-hum, well, we got lost down here and then we were attacked by a bunch of Munna, and then we attacked the guys in armor because they were attacking the munna, and then the ground broke and then, I guess, we won the battle," Henrietta explained.

Then she'd look back to see Melty and she'd turn toward him and say, "a-are you okay?"

[Light, dumb thing,] Melty grumbled and he cursed as he still couldn't get the fire to go. Cranky and exhausted he turned to Henrietta and narrowed his eye, [dumb human, you pick too many fights.]

Topside, the dynamic duo was reunited.

"Sup," Chuck said.

"Hey," Bill said.

"Heh, you look like s**t," Bill said.

"Better than you," Chuck retorted.

And then the two set out on their way, coming across a bag on the ground. Night had settled on the Dream Yard and Chuck produced a flash light as they started looking through it.

"Bunch of clothes, I think," Bill said as he went through the item balls, releasing one.

"Henrietta Avalite," Chuck read the I.D. aloud.

"AH!" cried Bill and Chuck turned swiftly to see Bill throwing a pair of pink panties aside. "Girls underwear, who the hell let some chick out all the way out here?"

"It says she's eighteen, that's the legal age to be out-

"out getting married, Chuck. Dumb b***h needs to go back home, not leave her gross s**t lying around."

Chuck sighed, "I think we should leave it," he said as he set the I.D. back into the ******** that, no man needs to come across this," he said and he picked up the bag and tossed it.

"Well, okay then," Chuck cocked a grow.

"Good ******** riddance."

[-and another thing, if you dare make me fight without twelve hours of food again and I burn out again I'm lighting you on ******** fire, you fat breasts co-

WHAM! Melty was knocked unconscious by a mysterious falling bag.

"Melty!" Henrietta cried and she moved to help him up.

One should also note, on the side, that her arm was still dislocated.

"It was Plasma, dad," Wayne said through gritted teeth, sat cross-legged in the empty courtyard, staring into his Xtransceiver, "They were here at the Dreamyard."

"...Any idea what they wanted?"

"No." The trainer shook his head. His pokémon? That's the obvious. What were they doing at an out of the way location like the Dreamyard? Did they get wind that new trainers like to go there? Easy pickings? "Whatever they were here for - they're gone now."

"I'll make some calls," Dad said through the tiny screen. He frowned. "Need any help?"

"I think I can handle this," Wayne grinned then brought it into a smirk, "Tell Katie I said Hi."

The signal cut out and Wayne brought his arm down, sighing. Gothorita hadn't allowed him to move much. Solosis was trying to bend his barriers and create a halfpipe to roll up and down in. Hitmonlee was meditating.

"So, Shery..." Wayne said and Gothorita glanced over from the corner of her eye, keeping her face frozen like she'd sucked on a lemon, "She seems like fun? And you're... a pokémon. Who's evolved?"

Wayne sighed and fell onto his back, staring at the blackening sky.

"This sucks."

***

"Holy--- moly!" Shery cried. Not because Melty had been squashed by a bag, though that did kind of startle her, but because of Henrietta's arm. "How'd I miss that? Geez, are you alright?"

Shery bit her lip. "Purple hair girl. You know your arm's out of its socket, right? Err. I can pop it back in, it's just... Seriously, does that not hurt?"

Eunmi sat down and rummaged through her bag until she found a flashlight.

"We still have to go back to those Munna, you know," she said. "But it might be too dark for that..."

Henrietta returned her Pokemon first and foremost before she looked to Shery and then at her arm, dangling uselessly at her side. "H-hum, it hurts, it's just..."

Well, if she was honest she'd been almost constantly in pain since she departed from Accumula. "I-i think I've gotten used to it a little bit," she said. She, of course, meant pain. She looked at her arm and then at Shery. "C-can you?" she asked. The not-cosplay-nurse could fix her? Well, "that's great, thank you. Hum, Please."

Then she looked at Eunmi. "Th-that's right, Darumi, he's still injured. We have to go get them!"

Around, and around, and around, and around…

That’s all the ceiling fan did as Salieri stared up at the ceiling from the center’s waiting room couch. Of course it wasn’t going to change anytime soon, but her eyes were still fixated on it. Not that her mind was, though. She was thinking about something else entirely.

Salieri?" Wayne still had his hand clamped over his eyes. One ear was dinned by the angry metal death that awaited the trainers, the other could just about make out what Salieri was saying.

"I know this might not be the best time to say this but..." Wayne's hand fell down and he raised his eyebrow, "I could definitely kick your a** in a real pokémon battle."

She cranked her head up as best as she could to try and look up at Wayne. “Damn straight this isn’t the best time to say that! I’ll prove you wrong when we get out of here!”

Salieri’s eyes narrowed at the ceiling fan’s blades. Yeah right. There was no way Wayne could beat her, was there? He just didn’t have the guts. The trainer was a nice guy, but he just didn’t seem tough enough.

“So why am I still sitting here?”

The Battle Girl got up abruptly, and Chen Zhen looked over to her from the otherside of the couch. At the counter, the nurse perked up her head upon hearing Sal talk to herself. Unbeknownst to the trainer, she had used her Audino to heal Salieri’s wounds. She was only bruised, so it hadn’t taken long.

“Miss? Your pokemon have been fully healed. They’re resting in one of the rooms in the back.”
Sal nodded and stood up, stretching her arms while walking to the double doors leading to the patient rooms. “Thanks, for everything, Nurse.”
The nurse’s brow furrowed with concern. “Uh, miss? They still need their rest.“

Salieri stopped walking at the nurse’s suggestion. “I bet they do. But right now…right now I have to go make sure I didn’t leave anything important behind.”

****

The street urchin boy panted while leaning up against the alleyway, out of breath from running so far. He looked around the corner of the building to see two shadows slink off into the streets of Castelia City. He sighed in relief. His captors were successfully evaded.

“Nice,” he muttered as he looked down at his prize: a loaf of bread. With a yank on both ends, he split the bread in two and held a piece down to the pokemon before him. “Your share.”

“Vee!” the Eevee exclaimed, reaching up to take the bread in her mouth. As she ate, the boy’s eyes narrowed at a glimmering spot on the dirty Eevee’s otherwise white collar. It was shiny and red, and the liquid dripped to the ground with Eevee completely unaware.

“You’re hurt,” he grumbled, and he knelt down while snatching the bread out of Eevee’s mouth in anger. The Eevee looked horrified with herself, and couldn’t meet the boy’s eyes. “You got this blocking that Scraggy’s attack, didn’t you? How many times do I have to tell you!?”

He shook the Eevee’s shoulders wildly, and the pokemon winced in pain. “Listen to me! You can never afford to get hit! Even if you want to protect me, you understand? This world is too dangerous for you to worry about me! You have to protect yourself first-“

The boy stopped. He could see that tears were welling up in the Eevee’s eyes. He looked to the ground, ashamed of himself as he ripped off a piece of his tattered sleeve. Carefully, he wrapped it around the Eevee’s collar as a makeshift bandaid. And then he brought her in close for an embrace. The Eevee could feel her friend’s warm tears fall onto her fur.

“Please, just run next time. Please. I don’t want to lose you…”

The Eevee buried her head into the boy’s heaving chest, feeling each sob. She nodded earnestly, in complete regret to her actions before. She closed her eyes and sighed, knowing that next time would be different.

“Now, c’mon Salem….wake up…..I need your help one more time….”

"Wake up, buddy."

Salem's eyes fluttered open, and the inside of the hospital room became apparent. She was curled up on a small bed, and in front of her stood Salieri with a warm smile. "Glad to see you're okay. Salem, I owe you one for saving my life back there."

The Eevee's memory was all coming back to her. The reason she was knocked out was because of the fiasco at the Dreamyard. The last thing she remembered was getting hit by a stray piece of trash-

Wait...I took the hit?

"I'm so proud of you!" Salieri suddenly exclaimed as she grabbed Salem underneath her forearms and hoisted the Eevee to her chest. Salem softly smiled. It was a familiar feeling to get hugged like this. And it never got old.

Now that she was up, she could see that Salieri was not alone. Liuye Dao stood as quietly as ever next to his trainer, fixated shyly on the ground. And Chen Zhen became enthusiastic the moment he saw the Eevee.

[Salem! I'm so glad you're-]
"A lot of s**t went down at the Dreamyard after you got KO'ed. Salem, we need to go back. I need to check if Wayne is-"
Salieri stopped, thinking of a way to reword her sentence. "I'm gonna go find Wayne. Salem, will you help me?"

"Vee!" cried Salem, so happy that her trainer wanted her around. She knew now that for Salieri, she'd do anything. And Salieri smiled back happily in kind.

"Good, then let's get moving. The quicker the better," she ordered as she dropped Salem to the ground. The Battle Girl left the room, and her Eevee scampered after her. Liuye started to leave, but then turned back. Chen Zhen was lying hopelessly face down on the floor.

[I didn't...even get to say...ugh.]

Liuye rose an eyebrow, but then shrugged and helped the melodramatic monkey to his feet. The Pansage sighed. [This isn't going to be easy, is it?]
