[Maya Freana]

"I don't think I would...I want to be able to protect Calista...and if I lost my powers...I'd lose my arm. Wouldn't be able to really take care of her with one arm and no other means in case something happens." She told him, hugging his hand into her chest.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

Adrian smiled a little. "Then how about this? You take the cure--get the demon out of your head for good--and I stay as is?"  

[Maya Freana]

"Adrian...I don't want you to do that...." She said as she put a hand on his cheek. "I know you want to go back to the way you were..."  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"As it stands, there are only two things I need in life: you and my music, in that order." Adrian said holding up two fingers with his free hand. "You're not going to be completely happy unless you get rid of your monster side, and that is a sacrifice I am willing to make to make that happen."  

[Maya Freana]

"And no one has said that it won't go away with counseling and medication, both of which I can get if we get out of here." Amaya argued softly.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Well, I can at least suffer the feared stares of random strangers with you. I doubt a social revolution has happened since we've been down here." Adrian said easily. "What about Calista? Would you have her take the cure?"  

[Maya Freana]

"I don't want you to do that for me..." She murmured. "And Calista...I don't know...I'd like to let her decide, but I also don't want her putting other kids in danger because she doesn't know when to use her powers..."  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"You'll just have to sit down and talk to her then. If she wants to keep her powers, then she has to understand that there's a time and a place for them and learn how to control them." Adrian said.  

[Maya Freana]

"Well that's the problem. It's a life changing decision that she's far too young to make." Amaya sighed.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I guess you'll just have to get her to control her powers and then give her the talk when she's older." Adrian suggested.  

[Maya Freana]

"Guess so." Amaya sighed once more before she shivered once more and huddled down into the couch.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Whatever happens, I'm sure she'll be fine. And I'm sure you'll be fine too." Adrian said smiling back up at her.  

[Maya Freana]

"Thanks Adrian." Amaya said before closing her eyes once more, her grip on Adrian's hand loosening when she actually fell asleep.  

[Zelly-fangirl]

Adrian's smile softened a little. "Anything for my angel." he whispered before placing a gentle kiss upon her cheek before getting up, careful to remove his hand so as not to disturb her.

((I need to finish moving out of my dorm, so I'll be back later.))

It took Amaya another two days before she began to feel normal once more, but she had really forced herself to work through it. Now she was up and training for another fight though, so she had even more work to do.

Calista sat nearby and watched her mother train, the little girl also training, trying to imagine a purple elephant. That was all her mother had told her, but it was proving to be more of a challenge than one would think.
