And the game begins! Nic circled the pitch to see their reserve seemed to be holding her own. Well, time to knock a seeker down to speed since the Ravenclaw beaters weren't active yet. Nic swung back towards a bludger and aimed at Lewis Abrams.

The match finally started, and it wasn't off to the most auspicious of starts, given the Seekers were having trouble spotting anything in the swirling snow globe of a pitch they were playing above. It was then, as she was surveying the game situation, Linsey spotted the Bludger arrowing in towards her Vice Captain and Seeker. The veteran Beater swooped in to try deflecting the incoming shot...

Linsey struck the iron sphere with a loud clang and sparing Lewis the hit, and sent a line-drive towards Nic.

Yarrick knew it was time to go. Lewis was in danger (again), and Linsey couldn't get to it. She flew in, prepared to save their seeker. She decided on an easier target, aiming instead at the chasers. Bowtan was hidden from easy access by Roxanne Archer, so it was to her Yarrick took aim. If she had a clearer shot, the younger chaser would be in danger, but it wasn't easy enough.

Dodging two attempts to steal the ball back, Bowtan closed the gap between herself and the goal. She couldn't believe she'd managed it. Now her heart was racing more as she was now challenged with getting the quaffle passed the Ravenclaw keeper. Taking a breath she took her shot, here's hoping her luck hadn't run out.

Nora was more or less shocked that the first year Gryffindor was actually managing to get down the field. It was then she realized she'd actually have to work. As the young girl threw the ball, Nora saw it a mile away. Rushing over she caught the ball. Too easy. Tossing the quaffle to Tambry who at this point was closest to her.

Linsey watched as her line-drive was deflected by Adi, and now it was headed straight back towards Lewis. Her partner in beatings, Yarrick wasn't able to get a decent shot on the Bludger, and Linsey flew in to try to intercept it...

Linsey spat an oath, as the Bludger sailed past her, and she shouted, "Lewis! Incoming!"
