The vampires had to sort of warm up before they got into that mode. It started off with Veni using his bow, Rosemary a long ranged gun. As the demons got closer Veni abandoned it for other means while Rosemary switched to hand guns. When they were practically on them, Veni started to use a sword in one hand and a dagger in the other, while Rosemary had the wrist blades on that allowed her hands to be free to use the guns.
As Veni allowed himself to fall into the blood lust, which was unusual for him, he began to move quicker and pop in and out of the shadows onto his pray in a feline like manner. The more and more he got into it, the more and more he used his claws until he finally abandoned his sword altogether. He forgot that scythe goblin blood burned a little and after learning a lesson he kept one blade handy. Veni was really enjoying himself and he couldn't get that blood everywhere fast enough it seemed. Jacob eventually couldn't really see the vampire's movements only the body count.
Rosemary probably would have lost the blades if they weren't attached, but she at least held onto one gun because she seemed to rather enjoy shooting things in the head once in a while. Like Veni she was faster and stronger, but unlike Veni, Jacob could catch her movements more often.
They both seemed to do rather well when their friends came in, and then people the somewhat knew, however Veni struck one down when random people they've never met showed up, but he seemed to realize quickly that he wasn't supposed to attack them either and the rest were mostly safe.
When Rosemary felled Galantros, the rest of the demons around her began to writhe in sudden agony. When she examined the holograph and realized it was dead, she growled in frustration and began to kill each one involved, one by one, very painfully. When that was done, her features began to soften and she fell to her knees and began to sob as the blood lust suddenly left her. She had really tried hard to not strike him...or any of them... why did the simulation make him die from that anyways? Galantros has survived greater loss of body mass before...
"Better to protect your friends indeed, but also a more effective way to destroy them."
Veni didn't notice for a long while that Rosemary had struck Galantros. He didn't seem to notice until Jacob stopped the program actually while he was about to land right on top of a rather large demon, with his arms extended, teeth bared (all sharp, the normally human-like ones weren't human-like anymore), that suddenly disappeared from under him along with the rest of the scenery. True to felines everywhere he landed on his 'feet' (hands and feet), but tumbled a little as soon as he touched the floor. After a few movements to recover, showing off the acrobat he was, he finally did land on his feet (normal ones) and looked at Jacob to see why he had stopped so suddenly. He was having so much more fun than he usually did fighting the real ones.
