Missy and Lilly looked at each other confused and looked back at Jace.
"Um... Jace, Missy here can't talk human language, And how can you understand her? I'll only understand her cause of this ear piece," She pointed to the gadget in her ear.
Missy stared at Jace, "Um...are you okay?"

"I don't... I mean..." Raskal slid the pack from his shoulders and let it fall to the ground, then slumped back against the wall and held his hand in his hands. "This is too strange... If you have to use a device to talk to pokemon and I clearly didn't know about it until now then how...?" He let the question fall from his lips and hang in the air. The alley around him began to spin and his eyes shifted in and out of focus. Without warning the trainer began leaning slowly towards Lilly and then falling, unable to keep his legs under him.

"Woah!" Lilly quickly caught Jace in her arms, "Jace! What's wrong? What's happening?" Lilly knelled in the floor, resting Jace's head in her lap. "Should we go get Nurse Joy?"
Missy nudged him with her head, "Jace?"

"No... no I'll be alright." He stammered, coming again to his senses. He went to get up but as he did he noticed his pack was slightly open and a soft green glow was eminating from within.
Raskal instinctively reached for the bag but when he opened it further the light faded and all that remained were his personal effects and the book. "That was strange." He said alloud. "I could have swore..."

Lilly looked at him awkwardly, "You could have swore what?" she extended her hand out to help him up, "And are you sure your okay?"
Missy spoke for Jace, being at the same level as the Pack she had spotted it too. "I know what he saw, it was a green glow coming from his pack, it was so weird."
"A green glow?" she asked aloud looking from Missy to Jace.

Raskal turned to regard the Eevee that had spoken before. Now however all that Raskal heard was the typical sound of pokemon of it's species.
"Ee Vee! Eevee Ee!"
"Wha...?" Raskal asked, once again confused. "You were just speaking human a minute ago, what happened?"

Lilly was still staring at him awkwardly, "Why are you asking me, I'm just as confused as you are. I don't know what happened, but Missy says there was a green glow coming from you pack."
Missy nodded, confirming what Lilly said.

Raskal sat up against the wall for support. He didn't want to faint again after all. Slipping the book from his pack he laid it on his lap and stared at the cover intently, trying to discern what secrets it was begining to show him.
"I think you better tell me that story now."

Lilly leaned against the wall also and began to explain about how her parents had suddenly disappeared after trying to get a book back that her father had left in Professor Rowen's lab in Sinnoh. She also told him about the flash back she had when she saw the book. And about the times she heard her parents talking about team rocket and the book, “That’s my story,” she said finishing the story, “That’s also why I need you to help me, I’ve been searching for my parents for six years with out luck and now I find a clue from you and you try to make a run for it.” A tear dripped down Lilly's face at the thought of her parents.
Missy jumped on Lilly's shoulder to comfort her.

"Lilly, if what you're saying is true then I'd be happy to help you on your journey." Raskal hesitated a moment then let out a sigh. "And I'm going to have to be honest with you as well. I came across this book years ago while it was still in the hands of Team Rocket... while I was apart of Team Rocket." He winced at the thought of his past and turned away from the girl in shame, waiting for her to berate him as had everyone else who knew the truth.

"You...you were a part of team rocket?" she asked her eye's wide, “So, how long were you with Team Rocket and how long have you had the Book?” she asked.

"The same year I started my pokemon journey back in Jhoto I was enticed by a man who offered me exactly what I wanted. It turned out he was a scouter for Team Rocket and soon I found myself handing over all of my pokemon and entering the training facilities. Years later when I escaped I stole this book from the Viridian City base and just ran. I hid it for a year while I traveled back home, but just recently got it back after arriving in Virmillion City only a few days ago when Team Rocket attacked."

Lilly listened intently, “Wow! You had it rough, didn’t you? So what do you mean by ‘a few years’? How long have you had the book exactly?”

"Like I said, I hid the book after leaving Team Rocket. I only just got it back this week. So in all?" Raskal raised his fingers to count. "Three days. However I don't know how long it was in the posession of the Rockets before I stole it."
