From: Anastasia Steele Subject: Shocked of WSUV Date: May 23 2011 20:33 To: Christian Grey Okay, I’ve seen enough. It was nice knowing you. Ana I press send, hugging myself, laughing at my little joke. Will he find it as funny? Oh s**t – probably not. Christian Grey is not famed for his sense of humor. But I know it exists, I’ve experienced it. Perhaps I’ve gone too far. I wait for his answer. If only it wasn't a joke and was truly her feelings about the whole thing. *sighs* Ana, Ana, Ana... you are going to get yourself hurt at some point. I just have a feeling that's what will happen.

Not sure why this is solely for MY benefit – ie to explore MY sensuality and limits. I’m sure I wouldn’t need a ten-page contract to do that! Surely this is for YOUR benefit.THANK YOU! At least you show signs of having some evidence of sense in that mind of yours Ana. But the fact that you are even considering this guy's offer is just... unbelievable, Ana. You're a dimwit!

Off to find something to snack on. I've been trying to hold off on snacking on something... but I just can't. I need something to snack on. BRB.

What if I do say yes, and in three months’ time he says no, he’s had enough of trying to mold me into something I’m not. How will I feel? I’ll have emotionally invested three months, doing things that I’m not sure I want to do. And if he then says no, agreement over, how could I cope with that level of rejection? Perhaps it’s best to back away now with what self-esteem I have reasonably intact. That's right, Ana, you shouldn't be going ahead with this. You know very well that it's not your type of scene and the fact that you question about so many of Christian's terms shows that it's not right for you. But knowing how the story is probably going to go, you're going to accept the agreement and then later end up emotionally hurt. Ugh... what a dimwit.

Abruptly, I wake, gasping for breath, covered in sweat and feeling the aftershocks of my orgasm. Holy hell. I’m completely disorientated. What the hell just happened? I’m in my bedroom alone. How? Why? I sit bolt upright, shocked… wow. It’s morning. I glance at my alarm clock – eight o’clock. I put my head in my hands. I didn’t know I could dream sex. Of course it's possible, Ana. I may be a virgin in real life, but in my dreams... well... all I can say is:

Ray pulls his car into the campus parking lot, and we follow the stream of humanity dotted with ubiquitous black and red gowns, heading toward the sports auditorium.Haha... the campus doesn't have a sports auditorium! *laughs* And with the amount of people graduating during this time, there won't be any graduations at the campus anymore. I know because my Aunt graduated on the campus but my class graduated in the auditorium by the county fairgrounds. Definitely allows more room for all of the students and guests.

I make my way to my seat amongst fellow students whose surnames also begin with S. I am in the second row, affording me yet more anonymity. I glance behind me and spot Ray sat up high in the bleachers. I give him a wave. He self-consciously gives me a half-wave, half-salute back. I sit and wait. And they don't do this either. They sort you by type of degree and then your major. And you the order you sit in is based on who you want to sit with... and whoever is able to fit into the rows of seats.

Suddenly, the room erupts into applause as Miss Katherine Kavanagh has taken the stage. The Chancellor sits, and Kate tosses her lovely long hair behind her as she places her papers on the lectern. She takes her time, not intimidated by a thousand people gawping at her. Only a thousand people? Wow... that's not very many people. Especially for a fictional take on the campus making it into a four-year university... and being a May graduation, as in the big whoo-ah graduation ceremony. IN 2011 NONE THE LESS!
WSU-V may be a small campus but we still have a large number of students that graduate each year. Enough for a several hour long ceremony.

“Worried, why?” “Because you went home in that deathtrap you call a car.” “What? It’s not a deathtrap. It’s fine. José regularly services it for me.” “José, the photographer?” Christian’s eyes narrow, his face frosting. Oh Crap. “Yes, the Beetle used to belong to his mother.” “Yes, and probably her mother and her mother before her. It’s not safe.” “I’ve been driving it for over three years. I’m sorry you were worried. Why didn’t you call?” Jeez, he’s completely over-reacting.I'm really not liking the fact that Christian keeps dissing her Beetle. Both of my parents drive Volkwagons (a Rabbit and a Jetta) and both of them are older models. And honestly... those two cars probably are more reliable than any of Mr. Christian Grey's fancy cars. Especially in the kind of weather and environments that the Pacific Northwest has.

I can't wait to be done with this book. It's so utterly frustrating... and I can't believe how popular it has become. I mean... just... wow. People... you really are pathetic if you think this is good literature.
