The droid watches as the student falls into one of its Burmese Tiger Pits, perfectly concealed under the plain metal trap door in the middle of the 'safe' path away from the apparent leaf covered traps.
Screams echo the arena. The student is pleasantly surprised the droid caught one of her doppelgangers, and thanks the droid for the most amusing evening.
