Harmony Nichole Ariake They don't understand us...Harmony smiled at him softly and explained. "My mom adopted two neko twins when their mother died during the delivery. Lulu and Lokita. We went to the zoo on their ninth birthday, and they got split up. We didn't know it then, but they were being forced into slavery, much like what Ryuu is doing with his harem but they were sold too." She looked down in shame. "They are my little sisters and I didn't even know that we had left them for five minutes. They finally found us last year and have been living with us since. Uncle Kevin, me, Aunt Sirrah, and Jorden are trying to find out who the Owner was so we can make him pay." She said finally, her eyes flashing orange at the mention of the creature who had taken her sisters. ...And perhaps they never will.

 Yuri Mizu "Sore wa odoroka reru kamo shiremasen," Yuri had never felt so worried. It was well past dawn, and still Nina had not been brought back. Sirrah hadn't either, so perhaps she had escaped... That hope was crushed as soon as both girls were dragged through the doors. Both bloodied and bruised, both wrapped in blankets.
The guards tossed them to the floor and chained them again. A servant girl came in and placed two new sets of clothes on the floor beside them, whispering to Yuri, "For when they are well enough to get dressed." Then Yuri was left alone with the two girls. Nina was crying, which frightened Yuri to no end, and Sirrah was apologizing over and over in Japanese.
"Gomenasai, Nina... Gomenasai, Yuri... Gomenasai... Gomenasai..."
"Nina... Oh, gods, Nina, what did he do to you?" whispered Yuri, drawing her crying lover into her arms and carefully beginning to clean and wrap her various wounds. She thought that Nina had been taken to Shadow, and Sirrah had simply been beaten for trying to run. The truth hadn't yet occurred to her. "Demo anata wa basho no kurai no ai o mitsukeru koto ga dekimasu."

Nina Selidat Hola Gringo...Nina had been hearing Sirrah apologize for over an hour now. She curled in a tight ball and held her shoulder after Yuri wrapped it, the tears still falling from her eyes. "Sirrah please..... Stop it please..... No mas... I'm not mad, my arm just hurts so much.... No mas, por favor, no mas..." She told her finally. She really wasn't angry with Sirrah, just herself. If she hadn't almost broken from that bite, Sirrah would have been fine. This was her fault. She rested her head on Yuri's chest and closed her eyes, still panting slightly from the pain and exhaustion. Finally, she slipped into sleep and listened to the sounds of her lover's heart and lungs. ...Now go and screw yourself.

Yuri Mizu "Sore wa odoroka reru kamo shiremasen," Suddenly, Yuri realized the horrible truth as her lover spoke. Shadow had caught Sirrah trying to escape and decided to punish Sirrah and Nina together. 'No... gods... it's just too sick, even for him...' She glared at Sirrah, shocked at her own rage. She felt so very angry with Shadow... But was also just as angry with Sirrah. "What happened, Sirrah? Every word. I want to know everything," she hissed, holding tight to her lover to keep from attacking Sirrah. Some very irrational part of her blamed the half demon for this. If she had just stayed put, none of this would have happened... But Yuri needed to hear what had happened from Sirrah before losing it. "Demo anata wa basho no kurai no ai o mitsukeru koto ga dekimasu."

 Dr. Sirrah Tayashi "Love is like the wind..." As soon as Nina asked her to stop, Sirrah fell completely silent. Her entire body ached, but she could feel her own wounds already sealing over. She knew that within a month or so, there wouldn't even be scars. She hated herself for that, too... 'It's not fair... Nina will live with her scars for the rest of her life, but I'll get soft, pretty skin again?' she thought sarcastically. 'It's just not right...'
She looked up at Yuri and flinched at her angry expression. "I... I'm sorry, Yuri. I thought that if I tried to escape and Shadow caught me, he would give Nina a break and focus on punishing me... But I never thought he would..." She shuddered. "He took us both. Tortured us in front of each other. I will never, never forgive myself for this... I tried to fix things, and just made them worse..." "You can't see it, but you can feel it's there."

Yuri Mizu "Sore wa odoroka reru kamo shiremasen," Yuri sighed and felt her unjust anger fade away, replaced by an intense sadness. "Onee-chan... Don't hate yourself. It's not your fault. You were trying to protect her, I see that." Yuri examined her sleeping lover's body and winced at the sight of the bite. It was still bleeding through the bandages. Yuri changed them quickly, putting a salve from Gospind on the wound, murmuring soothing words to Nina as the human whimpered in her sleep. "Why did he do this? I've never seen anything this bad on her..." "Demo anata wa basho no kurai no ai o mitsukeru koto ga dekimasu."

Dr. Sirrah Tayashi "Love is like the wind..." Sirrah closed her eyes at Yuri's question, but quickly reopened them. When she closed her eyes, she saw Shadow's sneering, snarling face. "She hit Shadow every time he tried to touch me. He bit her after she broke his nose for trying to kiss me." Sirrah had to smile slightly at the memory of his cursing. "He'll have a bit of a crooked nose from now on..."
She frowned at the ceiling. "After he bit her... I could see that she was going to break from the pain. I... I asked him to kiss me, to distract him from her... It worked. I bit him on the neck and shoulder, as vengence for Nina. He focused on me the rest of the night, trying to get me to scream."
Sirrah looked over at Yuri and smiled a sad, tired smile. "But I get the last laugh. He'll be in excruciating pain for several hours. I'm venomous." She laughed weakly. "You can't see it, but you can feel it's there."

Yuri Mizu "Sore wa odoroka reru kamo shiremasen," Yuri felt ashamed of her anger after hearing Sirrah's explanation. The woman had only been trying to protect Nina, sacrificing herself in the process. She knew now that Nina had tried to do the exact same thing. "You and Nina really are very much alike," she murmured, smiling slightly. "I wish I could have seen her break his nose."
Another feeling rose in her that she was ashamed for; happiness. She was glad that Shadow had been harder on Sirrah than Nina. She was glad that Sirrah had sacrificed herself. It was a horrible thing to be happy about, but she was anyway. "Thank you, Sirrah," she said to the half demon. "I'm sorry he hurt you, but thank you for standing between him and her as best you could. I will owe you eternally for that, onee-chan." "Demo anata wa basho no kurai no ai o mitsukeru koto ga dekimasu."

Dr. Sirrah Tayashi "Love is like the wind..." Sirrah nodded slightly. "I couldn't just lie there and let him break her. That would have been criminal. You don't owe me anything, Yuri-chan." Sirrah closed her eyes again, this time seeing Kevin's face. Her heart nearly broke with how much she missed him, and remembering how she had tricked Shadow. 'Kevin, my love... my only love... Please forgive me...' "You can't see it, but you can feel it's there."

Dr. Kevin Rawlings Kevin felt his leg slip into the trench Lizzy had just avoided and felt Chibi grab his arm. "Thanks." He said as the werehyena palced him back onto the ground. He suddenly saw the world change and the normal looking trees shifted into wooden houses and in the sky, there was a huge floating island. Kevin could feel a slight tingle in his mind and he knew that he was getting close to Sirrah. He closed his eyes and focused as hard as he could on her. Hang on baby, I'm coming for you Sirry. I'll get you home. He tried to tell her, unsure if she could hear him. It had been two weeks of walking and and resting since they had left his house, and he just wanted to hold his fiance again. He looked at Lizzy and knew that she wanted Harmony to be in her arms and to kiss her too. He gently hugged her and whispered, "We'll get them back Lizzy. I promise.":I have to see people die everyday, but that just makes the ones I save that much more special:

 Elizabeth Greene "I know that a life without love..." Lizzy nodded and hugged Kevin back. "I know. We will." She smiled at him and looked up at the enormous floating island almost directly overhead. "So. We're here... Now how do we get up there?" "...is no life at all."

 Jorden Gregory Ariake I want to find something I've wanted all along... Jorden pursed his lips and looked up at the island. "I can fly Lizzy up there, but I'm afraid I don't know about you others... I'm not quite that strong." He chuckled weakly, trying to make a joke of it. Somewhere I belong...

Dukes Graham Dukes sent a text message and grinned at the three others as Chibi watched the skies. "Oh don't you kiddies worry. I got this covered." He told them and looked up as well. They suddenly heard very loud bird calls, like giant hawks shrieking and huge shadows fell onto them from the sky. Five werehawks landed and the biggest one hugged Dukes firecly. "Hey Cullem, how are the skies?" He asked. The werehawk laughed and replied, "Good as usual. But there have been too many screams by the upper realm of late. A new one and an old one."Dukes winced at his words. "Cullem, we need to get there. Our friends were taken by the King and we have to save them. If you can't take us, can you at least get us to a place we can climb from?"The werehawk gave him a shocked look, then laughed again. "King Dukes, we will take you to the realm itself. I've never geussed that you would ever be this strong, or have this much courage. It will be an honor." He told him then bowed, the werehawks all taking a passenger before taking off and soaring into the skies. {Music make the soul dance to the heavens with love. Music is love.}

Dr. Sirrah Tayashi "Love is like the wind..." It had taken several hours, but at last Sirrah felt she had convinced Franz that she was perfectly fine. She had continued her lengthy life story, which Franz (for some reason) seemed interested in. Occasionally she would pause and let him interject a comment or ask a question. Sirrah felt relaxed around Franz. Safer than she really was. It was nice to feel safe for once. "You can't see it, but you can feel it's there."

Franz Colter I want to do my duty...Franz was listening to Sirrah talk after she had eaten another sweet roll. He refused to enter the harem without at least three for her and as she was talking, he heard the door open and his heart dropped. "Nai, Guards. I think they want Nina again. How can she keep doing this Nai? How can she keep survivng this?" He asked her in a heartbroken whisper before her stood away from her to avoid the attention of the Fire Guard eight man troop that was walking in. ...But not at the price of my soul.
