Shikatsu had a small smirk cross his face for a second before fading away. He reached with his right hand back to the short sword on his back and pulled it free from its sheath slightly. "It's not the greatest weapon, but it has gotten me out of trouble a few times. " He said this as he watched the Kage methodically fiddle with his own blade. "As for a preference, Frontal mostly. I used more stealthy methods when needed tho." He replied, curious as to what came next.

Inka nods. "Versatile. I can work with that." A heart beat later and Inka asks; "Kumoryuu Kaengiri? If you have an affinity for Katon techniques." Upon receiving a negative from the leaf nin, Inka took a step back and performed the technique, wanting to give the Nara a better demonstration of the technique. Both hands formed handseals, dagger being held all the while but not getting in the way as fingers nimbly moved around the hilt and even - at times - the blade. A line of fire suddenly ignites down the spine of the blade and Inka deliberately turns to the side, sending out a wave of flame with a single swing of the simple blade. Once demonstrated, Inka cancels out the technique, wanting to confirm the other male wants to learn the jutsu before properly going through explaining how the jutsu works. Not knowing the technique the kage asked about, he carefully watched him as he started a string of hand signs. Watching closely as he did so and executed the move, Shikatsu was a bit in awe. He had never seen this jutsu before but he really wanted to learn it. "That was amazing, I would like to learn this technique!" He said, more energetic then he usually was. It wasn't often he got to learn new things, let alone from a kage.

Inka has to repress an urge to huff a laugh, but allows a smirk to grace his lips. "Alright." He agrees, and sheathes his dagger. It would be better, he reasons, for the Nara to learn the handsigns without a weapon getting in the way. He would go through the motions, explaining where and how to build up the chakra as he would do in order to summon the technique. Once the other male had gotten a hold of it, only then would Inka offer how to perform the seals dagger in hand. "But it may done without. You just need to be quick to grab your blade." Doing his best to follow along, he copied the hand seals that the kage was showing him and gathered his chakra as instructed, doing this a few times in a row until he felt satisfied enough to be able to move on to the next step, getting faster and faster as he continued. " Is that correct?" He asked as he finished his last string of signs.

Inka nods, makes sure the Nara isn't fumbling with with the blade while doing the hand signs, and only then begins describing how to focus the chakra into the blade to allow the katon affinity to attach itself to the weapon without burning the user. Having paid close attention, Shikatsu gathered the necessary chakra and grabbed his blade before proceeding to the hand signs. Once they were done, his chakra flowed into his weapon and it ignited. He then followed the motions the kage did before and launched the attack, sending out several waves of fire off the blade. After he fished he looked to the kage. "Got anything else?" He asked in a cocky tone. He wasn't use to having an instructor and it was kinda nice.

Amber eyes darken slightly, gaze watchful and sharp, trying to take in all the details at once to make sure that the technique was performed with minimal risk to the user - and the surroundings. The Flame Slash had caught the less attentive unawares previously. He blinked at the cocky words thrown his words, head tilting to take in the Leaf nin in his peripherals, assessing the attitude before a toothy smirk was thrown back in return. "Easy, big guy. Or I'll test to see if you can via combat instead." He reaches a hand up to curl his fingers over the opposite shoulder and dig into a spot just above his shoulder blade. His gaze grows distant, contemplative, working threw what he knew that might perk the other man's interest. "Bikou Ninjutsu?" He asks, mostly to himself, before properly turning to face Shikiatsu face-on. "Aids in concealing one's presence. So long as you attempt to remain covert throughout." He warns.

Watching the demonstration and recording to memory the needed seals, Shikatsu followed suit and performed the jutsu, using it to stalk near by people . After a few minutes of doing so undetected he returned to the kage. "I can see a use for this." He said as he looked the kage over. "Were you serious about a spar?" He asked curiously. The answer intrigued him greatly.

Inka riased an eyebrow at the question, not surprised by the question but still impressed by the bluntness of it. He glances up at the Anbu guard standing with him, to see if he was needed elsewhere. But no, he was free to indulge in this request. "Alright." He looks Shikatsu dead in the eye, thin lips curving into a self-indulgent smirk. "Face me." The words are spoken around a mouthful of teeth, a predator finding a tasty morsel. The kage's feet shifted apart and his knees bent, ready to lunged himself backwards, head tilting back slightly and hands coming together to run through handsigns with a familiarity that spoke a warning to anyone who knew his type of preferences for jutsu. He spat out a thick, oil-slick coloured ball of liquid at the Nara just as his feet left the ground with the lunge, his hands once again twining together to summon yet another dose of chakra into his clenched fists.

The user than combines these two balls of energy by various means; dropping one on the other, slamming the two together, throwing them up into the air. However, the result this jutsu causes is minimal, enough energy to light a candle wick, or blind someone [ 1 post ] if done directly in front of the victim's face. Minor burns and scrapped skin occurs if done the two elements are combined on someone's skin. The after burn of the technique can also keep a dark area lit for a short time [ 1 post ].
[ C-R a n k ] • Gamayudan [ Toad Oil Projectile ] After gathering oil in his mouth, Jiraiya can spit the oil at his opponent. The consistency of the oil can then hinder the movement of some materials, such as paper. Oil is extremely flammable and cannot be put out with water.

Can be used in conjunction with any kicking technique known or as a standalone attack at its rank. Using it alongside a kick at or below its rank causes that kick to be treated as complex. Strength = Moderately. Reflex = Mildly
Shikatsu was glad the kage had time for a spar and readied himself. The second the kage started his attack Shikatsu got to work. He dodged out of the way of the black sphere heading his way and immediately sprang forwards towards Inka with a flying kick aimed at his mid section. If the attack landed he would then bring his other leg up and around to try and land a hit to his head. If it missed he would land and quickly take a fighting stance.

Inka sucked at his canine at the sight of Shikiatsu avoiding the Toad Oil but the fangs were on display once again the moment the Nara's feet left the ground. The Mizukage threw the fire jutsu held in his palms at the Nara's face, the innocuous Katon chakra remaining harmless until they would combine upon contact . With both hands, Inka gathered smoke pellets from the pouch on his belt, one hand throwing pellets onto the ground while other threw them at his air-born opponent. With the thick, black, smoke obscuring his position, Inka shifts his position, feet propelling him to the other side of the smoke cloud, swirling the inky depths, and he stops, hand at the ready to draw his dagger free...

Tabi Koutai [ Tabi Shift ] An extremely simple yet vital technique in any ninja’s arsenal. Mastery of this action allows the user to move up to half a meter per rank across the ground at Shunshin speed. Does not consume an activation of Shunshin, but can only be used once per post.
[ B - R a n k ] • Funkei no Jutsu [ Decapitation Technique ] The user will begin by blurring his current position in any way possible, be it by the use of his smoke pellets, or manipulation of the terrain. He will then follow up by tossing multiple smoke pellets at his opponent in order to disorient them. After this, the user will seemingly disappear, abusing their physical potential to get behind their target. From this position, the user will draw his weapon, and attempt to deliver the final blow. Reduces the target's reflexes greatly.

Strength = Moderately. Reflex = Mildly Mizuame Nabara [ Starch Syrup Capture Field ] Rank: B Description: After forming the needed hand seals, the user will expel a sticky liquid from their gullet. This liquid can cover approximately 20 square meters. If someone runs on top of it, their feet will become glued to its sticky surface. Requires using Suimen Hokou no Waza above this technique’s rank to move about on top of the liquid.
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [ Shadow Clone Technique ] Rank: B Description: This technique creates up to 3 solid clones of the user. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two decent blows. They can also disperse on their own. Shadow clones can't be distinguished from the original even by doujutsu. This clone can use any technique the user knows. A clone can have anywhere from 1 Chakra to all but 1 Chakra of the user's pool. The same goes for stamina. Each clone takes 15 Chakra to create. The clone disperses if it receives a hit C-Rank or higher or runs out of Chakra or Stamina. When a clone is dispersed, any knowledge it gained while active is transferred to the original, and any remaining Chakra and Stamina is returned to the user. Shadow clones may not leave the same thread that the user is in. The only exception is that a village leader may use shadow clones to aid them in managing the village, although the clones still cannot leave the village.
Without much time to avoid the attack, Shikatsu shifted his body so that it hit his side instead. After the attack landed he fumbled to his feet just in time to be encased in a cloud of smoke. "Not bad" He mumbled to himself as he formed a hand sign and created a shadow clone beside him. He then weaved a new set of hand seals as he gathered chakra and started expelling a clear liquid from his mouth on the floor approximately 20 feet around him and his clone. While he did this the clone was readying to try and catch the kage of guard if this plan worked and stayed low, shuriken in hand.
