You know that can't be..feelings are provoked by events. Our emotions are out of our reach...maybe if we desensitize ourselves we could avoid feelings but that can't be the case here..everyone seeks happiness. It is our way, Haku. The same way you do not want to be deprived of your happiness, others don't want that either.

What you perceive as not being possible is the limit of your ability. Perhaps for you your emotions are out of reach, but I am another matter entirely. Just as one can train the body, one can train the mind. I've achieved near completion in this respect. Emotions can be conquered. You just have to work at it.

Feelings can be provoked, but a training mind can retract and diminish anything deemed unnecessary by its own judgment. Right and Wrong are just words. Actions performed by a person, no matter what they are, are often self-defined as just or "right". It is only when weighed on the scales of the people that an action receives the judgment of right or wrong.

If your right, which you could be, why would you need control over your emotions? Why not feel what you feel? Is it for defense? That would be a good reason. Perhaps out of fear of the negative emotions such as sorrow and grief? Holding these emotions back seem to build up, I say this from experience. Like an infection, they make you rot from within, bringing negative energy to others. If allowed to run their course, as painful and udesireable as they may be, they will disappear and you will remain balanced.

Removing all emotions, letting them pass out unchecked, wouldn't bring balance. It would be the same as if you were to bottle up all emotions. There's a negative either way. The only difference is that bottled emotions don't show; where freely felt emotions run rampant and ultimately dominate a person.
You can't win by focusing on one aspect of emotion...

You can't win by focusing on one aspect of emotion... Sir, I am having a discussion. There is no winning.

@Shin: Precisely.
@Ed: I've deemed the majority of emotions as being unnecessary. They hinder one more than they allow one from my experience. It may not be this way for everyone, but my path in this world is one of power, excellence, and control. Emotions cloud thought and skew vision. You may not agree with it, but it is how I function and I function quite well. I am not void of emotion, I simply have the ability to keep them in check to a higher degree than others. And I keep most of them in check because they are, again, unnecessary.

Have a nice morning / night. You too, sir. Unnecessary for your goal. I see, Haku. So those of lesser intelligence, that includes me, it wouldn't be an incovenience if we were left unchecked ourselves, right? I mean, there would be no reason for someone to become the target of your words unless they had made you a target, am I right?

@Ed: No, I just find it amusing. Simple as that. The reactions I get from people due to my words amuses me. Nothing more. I just hope that someone can be cunning back. I like intelligent sass, witty banter, creative back-and-forth, etc..
@Navia: Hola. And yes, it is. The sun has yet to rise so it is a fine day.
