"Oh good...right. Now to get to work." He fixed himself up, and shaved before leading her out and back towards the market for some breakfast.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

Aleera nodded easily. She finished getting ready then linked her arm with Clorogne's as they left the inn. She looked around the marketplace, debating on what she wanted to eat.

The tiger that should be....isn't....

Clorogne stopped at a fruit stand and got what looked to be some sort of multicolored pair. With one bite, he taste the sweat and sour combination. Nice. He wiped his mouth and kissed her cheek, "I'll see you around lunch time." And with that he started towards his group of men, explaining how he was attacked by a traitor (whom they would later have hanged) and couldn't help them. They all seemed fine with it, as long as he stayed to help them know what the priorities were.

Aleera nodded and kissed him. "See you soon love." She disappeared into the market, grabbing a snack for herself. Then she shifted into a crow, taking off into the air. She had to find out how Markus was. Akila deserved to know the fruits of her labor.

Clorogne began showing the men what went where.

Akila curled up in the corner, tail wrapping around herself, with Zar safely on her other shoulder. This was terribly boring...all she could think about was her fate...and Markus...

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

Aleera disappeared into the rebel hideout. When she left awhile later, she was much relieved. Heading straight for the inn, she went to Akila's room, opening the closet. She smiled at the girl curled up there. "Markus is going to be okay." She said without preamble.

Akila jumped up excitedly, hands in fists, balled up at her chest. She smiled as widely as she could, and wiped at her forehead to show her relief. Such a weight was lifted from her chest that she could finally breath.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

Aleera smiled at Akila's reaction. "I thought you might want to know. I just checked in on him myself. He's in a drugged sleep so he doesn't move, but the physician said he should be just fine. He just needs to let his wing heal. Which, knowing Markus, he won't stay still long enough for the bone to even start healing. So the physician gave him a sleeping drink." She filled Akila in on the details she knew.

Akila hugged the other girl gratefully with a little squeeze. Smiling, she sat back down, waiting for the darkness and looked up at Aleera questioningly. Wouldn't Clorogne question where she was?

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

Aleera returned the hug lightly. Seeing the look, she grinned and shrugged. "I'm free until lunchtime. He's overseeing the castle rebuilding." She said answering the unspoken question.

Akila grinned and pulled herself up, motionin to around the room. Could she walk around?

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

"Sure. Might as well stretch your legs." Aleera said with a nod. She moved to lean against the desk. She would have to lock the girl back up when she left, but for now, might as well let her out.

Zar fluttered off of Akila's shoulder, flapping his way around the room.

Akila wobbled a little taking the first few steps, but caught he balance quickly, spinning around once so that her hair flowed up by her ears. So nice to be out in the light. Actually it hurt her eyes a little and she had to squint.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

"How are you feeling?" Aleera asked quietly. "Clorogne is really suffering right now. He's covered in wounds from us."

Akila shrugged. She was going to be killed... Everything seemed kind of monotonous. At the news, she grinned, though. She finally gave him a piece of her mind.
