"Yes ma'am it is," she said smiling, "And I can give you a small spark," she said lifting her hand and focusing her chakra down her arm and then into her palm where small sparks bounced off each other and then dissipated. Daichi's fur poofed up a bit given his close vicinity to her and she smiled as he grumbled, "Sorry bud." Ayame looked back at the Kazekage and nodded, "Yes ma'am I do drink tea."

When Ayame confirmed that she enjoyed tea, within a few seconds there was a small cup of the Kazekage's honey-and-mint brew waiting on the opposite side of the desk. The girl's attitude reminded Bast of a certain other orphan boy she had once taken under her wing, and the spark was satisfactory. Judging by the way her Chakra had traveled down her arm, the girl passed the test. Bast tossed Ayame a headband, poured herself another cup of tea, then looked at Daichi.

"The tea leaves were grown here, but it has mint and honey from the northern lands in it. Good for keeping cool on a hot day," she said of the tea, addressing the room generally. A question formed in her head, so she looked back at Ayame to ask it. "Does your friend there need a headband too? Something for his collar, maybe?"

Ayame caught the headband by one of the strands and looked at it with a large smile on her face before placing it around her forehead just under her bangs. She then picked up the cup and took a sip of the tea, "Thank you," she looked at Daichi, "Unfortunately he doesn't have a collar but if you have one with a long enough sash I could possibly tie it around his neck," she said turning back towards the Kazekage.

Bast realized the errors of her assumption, and as soon as the girl confirmed these errors, the woman took a long drink of tea.

"Sorry, I don't have much experience in those areas. You'll have to forgive me." As she apologized, she searched her desk for another headband with a long sash. Upon finding one, she handed this one over as well. "Anyways. I assume you'll be wanting to get on with it, so let me first tell you about the way the library here works. You can get scrolls up to your rank freely, but I'll be notified if you get any over your rank and the librarians will stop you if you try to check out more than one scroll of a rank higher than yours. Causing trouble in the library or taking scrolls that are far above your level will not go well for you. Pretty standard stuff, really, except that all staff in that building are trained assassins."

The last bit may or may not have been a lie. She could not remember if Mamoru had ever gotten around to implementing that policy, mostly because she had never had to deal with it personally. Assassins or no, she liked to imagine the librarians at least had some sort of proficiency with office supplies as weapons, so maybe there was a grain of truth to her warning after all.

Ayame shook her head, "No it's fine," she said as she took the band. Daichi immediately came over and sat in front of her as Ayame bent down and tied the band loose enough to be comfortable, yet tight enough to not fall off Daichi's neck. He wagged his tail happily, and Ayame smiled at him then looked back at the Kazekage, "Understood and thank you."

Sebastian entered the office after knocking, he seemed anxious walking into the room as any genin would. But alas it was a ploy a way of fitting in. He was as skilled as any faking things like this. He stood in front of the Kazekage and cleared his throat."Um Kazekage-sama, I was wondering if you had any missions genin could do out of the village?"He wouldn't mind being put with a team either it would actually help, but he didn't see many higher ranking shinobi but there was a reason for that. He just wanted something easy him and Amai could do that wasn't here.

Bast raised an eyebrow at Sebastian's request and took a sip of tea. His vagueness was suspicious, to say the least. Either that, or her paranoia was starting to come back with added vigor.

"What sort?" she asked, trying to get a better feel for the situation. "I assume you aren't here about the giant stinking lizards out in the countryside. Nobody should subject themselves to that."

Sebastian scratched his head."Well anything really."he said with a sincere tone. He was so used to going out for missions. Being stuck here made him feel like he wasn't doing anything."Um, the lizards don't sound too bad...just how big are they?" He imagined them to be maybe the size of a person. And that didn't sound to difficult of course they'd have to get Amai's puppets first.

Kurai walked into the building housing the Kazekage and went to her office. He knocked on the door loudly and waited for a second before opening the door. He saw that the Kazekage was with someone. "Am I interrupting?" He asked, trying to see who it was.

"About the size of a person," Bast responded, confirming Sebastian's assumptions. "Practically speaking, they should be easier to deal with than your typical Genin, but they tend to rely heavily on generating as much nausea as possible with their various... odors. If you don't mind smelling terribly for a few weeks and you think you have the constitution not to lose your lunch, then by all means, go ahead and take the mission. Last we saw them, they were out in the Red Sands, sunbathing."

As she sped through the details of the mission, wholly expecting another squad to come back covered in vomit and smelling worse than a mound of weeks-old fruit, she waved Kurai in. If she didn't know better, she would have thought it was her birthday with all these people coming to see her.

Sebastian nodded, hes been through worse as an anbu, even been in places that wreaked with the stench of rotting corpses. At first he was disgusted but he soon became immune to it. He was sure he could handle this."OK thank you Kazekage-sama, I think we will just fight at a long distance so we don't smell too bad." Someone entered after he finished speaking He shook his head at the boy."Not at all I was just leaving actually."

Bast waved to Sebastian as he left, then addressed Kurai's requests.

"Well, Saraswati could always use a hand with their ongoing reconstruction efforts, if you'd like to head out to the coast. They won't be able to pay much, but it will count for quite a bit in terms of your rank and they'll food and clothe you while you're there. You could get a job as a guard, escort caravans, and you may even get your clothes dirty from helping them out. What say you?" The Kazekage rubbed her finger on the lip of her mug. She would definitely need more of those tea leaves. "I'll also pay you if you can get any rare or unusual tea leaves from the merchants out there."

James strolled into the Kazekage's office building and removed the helmet portion of his armor. He was long out of combat, but the ice felt good and he had already paid the chakra.

James walked to the door and politely rapped on the door frame with frozen knuckles, taking care to control his temperature and not freeze things.

Knives noticed that James was waiting too after having knocked on the door so he figured it would be best to wait with James or at least be polite and go after the man. Something within him was sending a feeling of hate towards James right now. Knives went into a semi-meditative state and began to talk to himself at least within his mind.

"Hey, you there? Hello? Look I know he punched you in the face and all that but I mean come on forgive and forget right? I mean it can't be that bad right you're an bijuu and everything. Well maybe you'll answer me one day."
