Masato's grin increased more and more as he watched. The little girl was definitely a cut above. Her youth meant nothing next to her raw speed. Subconciously, Masato's kekkei genkai would stir, causing a cosmetic smoke to rise from his body. Black smog began to pour off him like smoke over a fire. "I'm getting fired up." he said, holding his hand palm up. The smoke pouring from his body formed a sphere in his hand. The sensory ninja would most likely see this small sphere as it registered as a D rank jutsu. That is unless she was focused on her battle to this degree. Masato stood up, holding the sphere behind him like he was about to superman punch it forward in what appeared to be a running position. Gritting his teeth, he tried to contain himself still, soon his restraint would fail.
__ Woo wee! There was lots of ninjutsu flying back and forth between the two of them so far. Zhi was really having fun with this, and glad that it wasn't even close to as intense as when mama was overseeing her training. This was actually just super special awesome! Zhi heard the metal clanging of their tools impacting each other, which meant that her shuriken didn't make its mark. That was okay. Better that she didn't actually hurt him anyway. What she didn't necessarily expect was for wind chakra from Taylor to suddenly well up within the fuma shuriken sticking out of the ground. How he did it was a mystery, but she knew she had to respond quickly or he'd definitely get the advantage.
Zhi jumped up and back to the best of her ability so to put a bit of distance between her and the enchanted tool. The abnormal wind current passed below her as she landed with her bow drawn from her back. It was time to get serious indeed! Zhi quickly adjusted her stance so that her shoulders would be align, pointed in the direction she had raised the bow. With Taylor in her sights and she'd be able to fire an arrow pretty darn quick from this posture. ** LEARNED - Stance of Drawing [ Uwame | Stage One ] 1/1 Posts
She breathed in and exhaled with utmost control as she exerted chakra to increase her potential draw weight. Rather than using this sort of chakra flow to speed herself up, it would actually make her shot stronger. A skillfully knocked arrow was lined upon Taylor. Zhi was sure that Taylor could probably dodge or block it, but she'd be sure not to aim for anything super dangerous just in case. ** LEARNED - Full Draw [ Uwame | Stage One ] 1/1 Posts ** Basic Training: Performance 1/3 Posts [2/2 Training]
For a flash bit of extra, Zhi figured she'd also try to add one last bit to this attack she was preparing. Chakra was also focused into the tip of the knocked arrow. When it was fired, the arrow would let off a somewhat bright flash of light. It wouldn't be enough to greatly hinder anyone looking at it, but maybe it'd be enough to surprise her opponent. "I call this the Shining Arrow! Get ready, Terry!" Yup, she definitely forgot his name in the midst of all this and that. Maybe she was being to sportsmanlike to declare her attacks and stuff too though? Ready or not, Zhi let loose the arrow at Taylor's body. Honestly, she didn't expect much to become of it since she made such an obvious attack. ** LEARNED - Tracer [ Uwame | Stage One ] 1/1 Posts ** Basic Training: Performance 2/3 Posts [2/2 Training]
Honestly, Zhi was wondering if or when the thunderbird might join the fray. She figured that Taylor would have a better chance of hitting her if he gave her more to have to wiggle her way out of at once. At the same time, it was pretty fun just having a one on one match between them. Either way, Zhi was content as long as this continued to be fun for the both of them. She didn't yet even notice the older boy seeming to want to join the fray. As long as Masato stayed out of sensory range, he'd have the element of surprise. After this round was over, she'd probably tell her new friends about her all-seeing advantage.
_______________ ≎Out Of Context≎ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ For the time being, I'm going to just assume Masato is still just outside of Zhi's current sensory range. Keeps things hip, fresh, and interesting!
Taylor swiftly reached for his chain scythe the moment the girl performed a back flip and drew her bow. The reason why he was holding back prior was because he knew that he was primarily skilled in weapon combat, and thus assumed that Zhi was as well. Now that she drew her weapon, however, it was time for the fight to begin. He started by in one swift move wrapping the excess chain around his right arm, then across his body in an X fashion, and then finally over his left arm. When the weighted end fell into the grasp of his left arm Taylor held it along with his kunai. Meanwhile, as Zhi drew back her bow and resumed a proper stance, Taylor readied his own attack. He let around three feet of chain wrap off of the wrapping around his right arm as he allowed the sickle to fall from his grasp. He swiftly grabbed the chain by the end of the excess he allowed, however, as he then started swinging the chain in a circular motion around his right side.
Taylor continued to build momentum as Zhi readied his shot. As fast as the girl was, and she certainly was, Taylor noticed that the two of them were actually about even in terms of reflexes. While the girl seemed to be naturally fast, however, Taylor's speed and reflexes came from two things. One came from his diligent training, which has honed his weapon based skills. The second thing is his bond with Horus, which gives him the confidence to move and react quicker and with more certainty. Even though the bird was not helping, just being near him filled Taylor was determination. And that determination is what he focused on as he continued to spin the sickle by the chain.
As he was about to let go of the chain, he saw the arrow flash off with some light. Was this the work of another technique? Taylor wasn't sure if his previous training would allow him to throw the sickle with enough force to actually counter the strike. It was for this reason that he mustered up even more strength and spun the chain even harder.
Taylor didn't have too much time to think, however. While he was almost thrown off by the alternate name Zhi threw at him, his mind and attention swiftly focused on the arrow flying at him. Taylor drew his arm back which in return caused the sickle to be sent behind his arm. He then threw his arm forward and over as it caused the sickle attached to the chain to fly off and counter the arrow. The two collided in the air and bounced off each other. Taylor wasn't ready to end it like that, however. The boy jumped ten feet into the air as he pulled back the chain and the sickle by shooting his arm backward. Once he brought the chain back to his body he then lunged it forward again, this time meaning to shoot the chain scythe down at Zhi's bow to disarm her. "Take this!" He shouted as he struck. He allowed the chain to slip through his grasp in order to extend his range, but not enough that he couldn't pull back on the chain and withdraw his attack should he need to. He saw how quickly Zhi drew her weapon, and how much power was in that strike. Since she was now giving her all, Taylor had no choice but to do the same. Without Horus' help, that is.

__'A kusarigama?' Zhi was both impressed and surprised by his choice of weapon. Then again, he probably would be with hers too. Flashily, her Shining Arrow was deflected by a skillful spin of the chained weapon. As it was, Zhi knew she had to quickly read another arrow. She reached back for her quiver, but the scythe came out at her. ** LEARNING - Quick Knock [ Uwame | Stage Two ] 1/3 Posts
It was clearly aimed to take her pretty bow away. Since she couldn't line up a decent shot like this, Zhi instead turned her bow over in hand to avoid the hook while jumping back in hopes of getting out of range. She complimented the attempt, "Nice one!" Like her archery, using chained weapons required a lot of careful timing and spacial awareness. Anything altering parameters after committing an attack made it more difficult to get the intended target. ** LEARNING - Quick Knock [ Uwame | Stage Two ] 2/3 Posts
Zhi assumed her Stance of Drawing once more, breathing in and out as she went to draw another arrow. Maybe she had to use more chakra to keep Taylor on his toes? If it had worked for everything else so far, then why not also for preparing the arrow? Zhi realized it made sense to completely capitalize on her greatest strength- speed. ** LEARNING - Quick Knock [ Uwame | Stage Two ] 3/3 Posts
Chakra rushed through her arms down into her hands. The simple motion of drawing an arrow from the quiver and knocking it onto the bow's string would be sped up with undeniable result. Even the drawing of the string was partially included in the fluid motion. "Fire!" Zhi gently released the arrow. This time it had less strength and wouldn't be on the level of a Shining Arrow. She had to pace herself after all. ** LEARNED - Quick Knock [ Uwame | Stage Two ] 4/4 Posts ** Basic Training: Performance 3/3 Posts [2/2 Training]
Taylor charged chakra into his chain scythe as it missed its mark. The sickle then went into the ground and became an anchor which Taylor needed for his next attack. As he was being lowered to the ground by gravity the arrow came at him, this one even faster than the next. Taylor wasted no time as he dropped the kunai in his left hand, along with the weighted end. He held his left palm down to the ground as wind chakra shot from it. This shot the boy straight into the air. Normally the technique would fly him too high to properly prepare his next technique. However, since he had his sickle within the ground and that worked as his anchor, he instead flew straight up from the ground and was laid out in the air so that his feet were toward the sky and his hand arm was above his head and still hanging onto the chain. Once he was in this position, however, he aimed his body like a missile toward Zhi's location. Taylor then shot off one more burst of wind from his left hand to shoot off like a torpedo at the girl's location. While in the air Taylor forced himself to bring his right knee forward and his torso centered underneath his head. This would result in a dynamic knee strike down up Zhi's torso if she did not dodge the attack.

Finally, he had had enough and could no longer contain himself. His grin turned into a teeth clenching grimacing smile. The ball in his hand continued to solidify, forming a clear visible orb. [2/4: Smoke Bomb] The orb having a more solid form, he gripped it tighter, causing smoke to pour out slowly. Bringing the orb back to his chest he wound it up like a baseball pitch. His breathing began to elevate as he pitched the orb. [3/4 Smoke Bomb ] As the smoke bomb flew threw the air, Masato readied himself. The smoke ball would land directly between the two dueling ninja, exploding into a ten foot radius of smoke. The smoke would cover the area surrounding the female and male as they would clash, causing them to begin coughing and blinding them from his next movements. [4/4 Smoke Bomb Learned ]
As the bomb expanded, Masato used the distraction to create a brief opening. Masato began to channel his chakra through the use of a hand sign as he dashed forward towards them. He vanished in a puff of smoke, appearing in yet another cloud of smoke directly between the two foe, slightly above their own body location. His technique wouldn't be perfect as he wouldn't completely mask his disappearance. Fortunately, the smoke ball technique may have served as just enough distraction to allow his misstep to go unnoticed. Luckily for him, the smoke that surrounded them would inhibit the female's sensory ability within the smoke. [1/4 Smoke Leap ] Appearing, Masato's foot would land directly atop Taylor's knee, causing Taylor's knee strike to be thrown off severely, potentially throwing the ninja to the ground completely causing both to go unharmed from the encounter.
If successful, Masato would turn from his kneeling position after landing and form the same hand seal as before in preparation for another smoke technique.
__ Whoa! Taylor pulled off a really crazy awesome move. Zhi braced herself for a direct attack, very tempted to just run away again since that was simply what she did best. When he reused the same technique to finish propelling himself and an actual attack at her Zhi figured her options became that much more limited. However, at the same time she detected an orb of a strange, smokey chakra flew onto the scene. Which should she be worried about? The orb exploded as Taylor fell toward her, clouding the area in a thick smoke. "Nope, I'm out!" Pop. The Jinton Shunshin was executed for a third time, allowing Zhi to move herself onto the dojo's roof to overlook the previous battleground. She could vaguely make out silhouettes of what should've been Taylor and the interloper. "Oi! Tyson, are you okay!? Should I get help?" For whatever reason, she couldn't actually sense anything in the smoke. It was actually a little concerning. "If you are, can we call time out?" Zhi squatted down on the rooftop and waited for a reply.
Taylor panicked when smoke enveloped the battlefield. Was this her doing? Before he even had a chance to think, something applied pressure to his knee. Taylor felt himself being pushed back as he spiraled away from the attack. The chain he had gripped in his right hand allowed him to regain some composure as he held onto it for dear life. As he leveled the ground he skipped along the floor for a little before he pulled himself forward by the chain. When he did so he got his knees and slid a little further. If the man thought though he was getting away scott free, however, then he would be mistaken. As he leaped off of Taylor's body, he was within a line of sight of Horus. The bird screeched out with extended wings as a powerful ninjutsu force overtook the man's body. This force would paralyze his entire frame, making him unable to properly move his body in order to land properly. Of course if he caught it in time then he could still land. But since he wouldn't have expected the bird to use an attack, however, it was unlikely.
When Taylor brought himself to his feet he noticed that he had scrapes on his knees, legs, and his hands. Adrenaline kept them from being anything more than stings as he threw his right arm back to retrieve the sickle from the ground. The bladed instrument came back with no difficulty as Taylor let go of the chain and caught the weapon by the handle. He then tightened his chain around his right arm as Horus flew over to stand behind him. While he flew over, however, he shot force a blast of wind chakra into the center of the smoke cloud. This would make it all disburse without much of a fuss. When Horus landed behind Taylor he folded his wings in and stared down Masato. Taylor lowered his right arm while holding onto the handle of the chain scythe, and then tightened the chain around his left hand until the weighted end was in the grasp of his left hand. He knew the bird had his attention on the intruder, so he focused his mind on Zhi who asked for a time out. "It's Taylor..." He said at first, since the girl misspoke his name. He then asked her, "I'm all good for a break, but do you know who this guy is? He only came out to save you from my attack." He asked earnestly. He wouldn't be surprised if Zhi had allies which would assist her in combat. If this was the case, however, then why wouldn't she tell him before the spar? The sudden drop of an opponent caused Taylor to receive injuries.
Sonyo sat there for some time, just watching everything around her. The village seemed to come alive suddenly, as if it just got up from the ashes like nothing had happened and brushed itself off. It stunned her in to silence for a moment as she watched two gennin train, getting stronger before her very eyes. How... incredibly lucky she was, to see a village shake the shadow of tragedy like this; she thought back on everyone she knew that didn't make it up to this point, and realized that this sadness she carried with her, this anger, this deep seeded hatred-- it would do nothing for her. If these people, these civilians, could rebuild and regrow, why couldn't she? She was a shinobi, it was her job to do just that, to be strong for those who can't be. Why was she wallowing in her loss and guilt? Every time she closed her eyes, all she could see were her parents' gravestones in a far away land, not even their homeland, by why did it hang heavy in her throat like a pill too big to swallow?
The chuunin raised herself from her current position, she would not join Bast just yet. Knowing the speed of the woman, she would be back before Sonyo even got halfway to Takumi. No sonyo would stay here for a bit longer and do her damn job. The young woman closed her eyes, taking in a very deep breath, then let it out-- opening her eyes once more. Nari would find her when he was ready, she couldn't let the world stop every time he wasn't around. People's lives depended on her, her village depended on her, and dammit she wouldn't let them down; not again. Taking a hair-tie, Sonyo put up her hair, then made her way towards the hospital; Bast would forgive her.

As he leaped from Taylor's foot, Masato felt something seize his hole body. The sensation was coupled with a terrible screech. 's**t...s**t s**t s**t.... I can't move...' He thought to himself, panicked as he was going to clearly smack the ground with a terrible force. In his animalistic wrath, he let out a feral roar. Paired with his roar he released chakra in the form of a thick black smoke that bellowed off of him. Having no idea that he had just broken a technique's hold on him he finally felt sensation come back into his body. At the last moment he recovered, rolling his shoulder on the ground, coming back up in a kneeling position facing the two, his hand seal for the technique used prior still held as intended. Panting, he heard the two questioning who he was and what to do. " I don't care who you two are, if you're strong I wanna fight you!" He shouted. He began to dash towards Taylor after his smoke cloud had been cleared away. As he made a dash for Taylor, he would activate the technique once more, vanishing in a plume of smoke. He would reappear just under Taylor in a crouched stance rising up with both feet firmly planted. From his crouching position he delivered two open palm strikes directed at Taylor's chin. If successful, Taylor would be driven into the air and off balance for Masato's next strike. Just as he would deliver it he screamed yet again. " NO TIME OUTS" While he was passionate about fighting, he had not intent to become malice in his assault, his excitement merely drove him to a wrathful spree of combative ecstasy.
__ Hikaru made it to the training grounds to see that there were already some shinobi here mid spar. This excited him but he would await for the spar to end as to not interfere with a shinobi way of life. A petite horse like figure sat upon the childs shoulder as he seemed to lean on the air, waiting.
_______________ ≎Out Of Context≎ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Lets get the day started~
__ The great puppeteer entered the vast stage that was the training grounds. He inhaled deeply before letting out a healthy exhale as he approached. The triad of sparring individuals captured his attention immediately. Before he left on his brief excursion to Takumi with his sensei he had been here and it was not nearly as active. The energy from the spar made the air electric and exciting in such a beautifully palpable way.
"I want nothing more than a spectacular performance" Tetsuhiko thought as he longed to be in the action with them in a spar. Their ranks were not immediately clear to him, but he hoped they were new Genin too. Perhaps they would let him join in soon as he thought it might be rude to jump in without permission. He suddenly looked over and saw a brown haired lad with a horse on his shoulder. Tetsuhiko momentarily arched a peculiar eyebrow before resting it once more and approaching him. Perhaps this person would help heal his momentary lonely dread.
Tetsuhiko stood about five feet in front of him and spoke casually. "Do you know what's going on over there?" He asked simply, perhaps this person was friends with them and could give him more information. After he asked the question he smiled and continued spectating, patiently awaiting a response.
__ Zhi watched the boys flop around on the ground in their own ways from atop of the dojo's roof. She restrained a teasing giggle at the sight to instead hear Taylor restate his name. "Oh, sorry. I forgot!" She made a slightly silly face to try and balance her mistake out with cuteness. Cuteness was (almost) always the answer. Her blue-eyed gaze went back over to the older boy who interrupted their fight. She shrugged at first, "I don't know this aniki." Her head shook back and forth a couple times until Masato spoke next. He made it even more clear that he simply wanted to join in on the fight, especially so when he disappeared and reappeared in plumes of smoke to blitz Taylor. "Heh heh... what spirit! Well, whatever. Taylor won the first round, but now it looks like his buddy is gonna help him. Time for more fun in round two!" Zhi's grip on her bow tensed with excitement, forsaking her slight tiredness from before. She could see a couple other people in the distance from her vantage point, seeming to just be watching the three of them- for now. If one person would just jump in, what was to keep this from becoming somewhat of a mosh pit? That could be fun too!
Taylor and Horus, versus the mysterious aniki, versus herself. This was going to get crazy. Zhi had to come up with a new trick to use to her advantage if she was going to come out on top this time. She glanced back at her quiver and noted that she was down to four-fifths of what she started with. Plus, now there were three targets instead of one. No bueno. "Let me just try to..." Zhi mumbled to herself while she concentrated, drawing the bowstring back without any ammunition readied. Chakra was focused in the position that an arrow would normally have been knocked. Shaping it into a slender but wild form, she had an arrow of chakra readied in moments. ** LEARNING - Arrow Creation [ Uwame | Stage Two | D/B Rank ] 1/3 Posts
The creation of an arrow from her chakra was successful. While the trade off was questionable, Zhi was happy with the result. Now, even if she had a limited number of actual arrows, she'd have a worthwhile back up plan. Now she just had to see if it worked. So far, it hadn't disappeared. Zhi took aim for Masato who was more focused on Taylor at the moment and prepared to unleash her newfound power. ** LEARNING - Arrow Creation [ Uwame | Stage Two | D/B Rank ] 2/4 Posts
'Get it together Zippy!' Zhi thought to herself, mimicing what she thought her papa would say right now, 'You're talking too long to line up your shot! You'll miss your chance.' Now she could hear her mother's input like she were right behind her giving a lesson. She mumbled, "Sorry sorry." Her halfhearted apology and distracted mind let her lose enough focus to let go of the string too soon. The chakra arrow went flying in the general direction the bow had been aligned, but it was anyone's guess if it would hit Taylor, Horus, Masato, or nobody. ** LEARNING - Arrow Creation [ Uwame | Stage Two | D/B Rank ] 3/4 Posts
Zhi blinked twice. "Oops." Well that was probably going to be a little bit of a bust. She had to get another shot ready since she couldn't expect to get lucky enough for that misfire to actually hit anyone. Now, in one clean motion, Zhi drew back on the bowstring, carefully but efficiently weaving her chakra into the form of another arrow that was readied for another attempt. She'd wait on purpose this time before firing though, so that it would actually count for something when she meant to attack. ** LEARNED - Arrow Creation [ Uwame | Stage Two | D/B Rank ] 4/4 Posts

__ His gaze and head drifted lazily towards the shinobi who approached and then tilted a brow as he proceeded to stand right in his view of the fight. The words were heard but they fell on deaf ears as Hikaru spoke through them. " You make a better door than a window... " Hikaru's paper creature had jumped down from Hikaru's shoulder and charged at the other boys ankle. It wouldn't do any kind of damage but it was the emotion behind it that stood out. If it made any sort of contact the little creature would crumple and dissipate, leaving only him and the door. " You want to spar while we wait? " He would seem to ask suddenly, but Hikaru had been itching for a spar since he left the academy so the question came as no surprise to him, even if he didn't know his new found frenemies name yet. Those were details that could be sorted out eventually. All the while he hadn't moved from his leaning position, keeping a cool head as well as a cool exterior was always one of his ways of life.

Taylor released his grip on the weighted end and held the object by the chain. He gave the object five feet of slack as he started to spin the weighted end horizontally with his left hand, leaning his body to the right and forward while crouching slightly in order to compensate for the fact that he was swinging a length of chain longer than his whole body. Horus flew upward in order to be off the ground, creating three lightning clones of himself as he approached fifteen feet in the air and then hovered toward the middle of where the two men stood. This time Taylor wouldn't get caught off guard. When Masato made his fast speed movement he did the same. He appeared right where Masato was previously when he started his dash as he quickly spun around and threw his left arm back. As he threw it then forward the weighted end attached to the end of the chain flew forward and toward Masato's head. It was then that he could see Zhi's arrow come from an angle towards the location where Taylor, Horus, and Masato were previously located. If Taylor had to guess the arrow would probably hit Masato's leg since he was in that crouched position. Time will tell though if Taylor's trajectory was correct in the girl's case.
