Anyone else enjoy this amazing independent rare noir film as much as i did. It being Rian Johnsons first real film i was very impressed with his talent to create a noir like i have never seen. Joseph Gordon-Levitt also shows that he is one of the if not the greatest actor gaining fame right now... i am sure we will see a lot more of him in the future.

It is a very good detective noir set in a high school. Also if you like it after you watch it there is another independent film with Levitt in it called "The Lookout" I would recommend that one as well.

A very respected man in film... you can see that when Ebert likes a movie that is not know ie foreign film Tsotsi out of South Africa... right away it was picked up by a studio and released wide in North America.

Ebert left the show sometime in 2006, I think, because he was going in for surgery. I believe it was cancer related. After he recovered from surgery, he was scheduled to return to the show. However, there were complications. As far as I know, Ebert is still using a computer to talk. He is back to writing reviews and watching movies.

Haha its quite far from a sports movie...

It's a noir detective film... set in a highschool... and "the brick" is a brick of heroin.

Well worth your while to rent.
