Little Things- One Direction.
Not just because it's a 1D song but if you listen to the lyrics it's so cute and perfect. Also cuz it was written by Ed Sheeran <3

Den Thelw na Ksereis by Anna Vissi. It is so sad and tells of what it's like to love someone and lose them... and to not want him to know how she feels still and what it is doing to her.

Also my country's anthem makes me cry. the melody is so beautiful and the lyrics are just... proud yet sad.

There's two songs that I can think of that cause me to cry.

~What hurts the most by Rascal Flatts (not a country person, but someone I used to know sang this song... and I've loved it since..)
~Your guardian angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

Yup yup, those songs get me nearly every time.. Dx

Not sure if youtube works for guilds but Dir En Grey's Zakuro. Specifically this performance of it.

Also X-Japan's Tears. These songs remind me of my father.

Most songs that do are related to my characters. Like Taylor Swift's Never Grow Up was for my only OC to ever have biological children. I play the daughter and the song is about a mother to a daughter. I can't help picturing her singing it softly while rocking her baby girl. Still makes me tear up like a grandma. 23 years writing and someone finally becomes a parent.

Forgiven by Skillet made me very emotional in the beginning. It was sent to me by a friend and the player of the aforementioned OC's love. Back when I was confused where it would go and if she wanted to try it. She sent it saying it made her think of the affect my OC had on hers. It's the perfect song. Makes me happy to hear it.

The Climb by Miley Cyrus. It's for the OC I've been the most mean to of all. She's always trying to climb that mountain with a smile on her face, no matter how many times I knock her down. And she's such the sweetest little thing who never truly gets over her problems to have a happy ending like her twin sister. Knowing all that, I legit was sad for three days when I found the song fit her so well.

When I'm sad, though, Beyonce's Save the Hero can make me worse. I relate to it in the sense that I go quiet and keep to myself when I'm sad like I want to be left alone, but I really don't.

Only movies make me cry for things that aren't sentimental reasons.

I don't remember if I've posted in this thread before so sorry if I'm repeating myself but...

The Grave by Don McLean. It's an absolutely beautiful song and the lyrics are heartbreaking.

38 Years Old by Tragically Hip. It tells the story of a boy who was arrested at 18 for killing the man who attacked his sister. [See my sister got raped, so a man got killed, local boy went to prison, a man's buried on the hill..]

Pittance of Time by Terry Kelly. Kelly wrote it after a man refused to stay quiet during two minutes of silence for Remembrance Day (Canada's Memorial Day) at a drug store. [Look at his little child, there's no fear in her eyes, could he not show respect for other dads who have died..]

Adam's Song by Blink 182. [Please tell mom this is not her fault..]

Angel by Sarah McLachlan. This song is sad anyway, but it was playing a lot on the radio around the time my grandfather died. Also, anything else by Sarah McLachlan.

Some others;
Working Man by Rita MacNeil
Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday
Streets of London by Ralph McTell (?)
Song to say Goodbye by Placebo (the video destroys me)
In The Deep by Bird Yorke
Nothing to Lose by Billy Talent

Tim McGraw - Live Like You Were Dying

All I can think of is how I argued with my grandfather a month before he died. I don't remember what the argument was about but it haunts me that my last words to him were in anger.

Can't link the song many times enough!
It almost makes me cry every single time! <3
Especially this version - unplugged and all.
I wish I could hear it live one day, which I
probably never will. But I can dream and
hope, right? <3

Hello by Evanescence
My Immortal by Evanescence
How to Save a Life by (I don't remember who this is by, but I'll edit in the name later on.)

I recently had a friend kill himself. That's why these songs make me so sad.

Also; The Dango song from Clannad...
