OLD pokemon games, anyone?

I always seem to be alone whenever I tell someone I love the first and second generation of pokemon games.
When i first got Blue, I wan't sure how to play. But even now, I'm still addicted as I was as a kid. Same goes for Yellow, and even Gold, Silver and Crystal!
I loved how crystal was the first game that included the option to choose gender and had animated the pokemon when you see them in the wild, and still had the day/nite feature, and still a whole two worlds to explore.
But when the Hoenn games were released, I found myself getting bored within on hour of playing it. I thought I was getting sick of pokemon games.

That was until i started playing Pokemon Stadium on the N64, and rekindled my love for my old games. I love them more than any other games out there.

I was just wondering if anyone else had a crazy obsession for those games, or used to, or maybe not even pokemon games! Do you have an unlikely game you're still in love with?

I love the original pokemon games! they were the bomb. i still play them to XD i love pokemon blue. haha its the bomb.

i grew up on pokemon! i've been faithful since blue, and have played all the actual games, except pearl. i think firered/leafgreen was a great idea, to revamp red/blue with better graphics and the ability to trade with hoenn. i just wish they did the same for gold/silver. mystery dungeon is kinda dumb though.

I love the Crystal game, but I don't have it. ...I like the FireRed LeafGreen versions, but I can't find my LeafGreen..... That sucks for me.

I have played:
- Blue (sister has it....)
- Gold (broke! crying It wouldn't save at all anymore, so I threw it.)
- Yellow (brother has it....)
- Stadium (a ex-friend had it.)
- Mystery Dungeon Red (sister has it.... - Red is DS, right? She has the DS version and I have the GBA version, but I played both of them at one point in time.)

I have:
- Pearl
- Sapphire
- LeafGreen (somewhere around here.....)
- Mystery Dungeon Blue

I was thinking of getting either N64 or GameCube this weekend so that I could play either Stadium or Colleseum. Way cool, man.

As much as I love new-gen games, my heart still is in pokemon blue and red xD Not a huge fan of some of the newer pokemons =/

For obvious reasons, my favorite is Emerald, then LeafGreen.

However, I've got:

-Blue (my first ever)
-Yellow & Red I got later
-Crystal (awesome additions)
-Gold, then Silver
-Emerald & Sapphire, never actually bought Ruby
-LeafGreen, then FireRed
-Diamond
Also, the two Mystery Dungeon for DS

My sister ended up stealing Emerald, LeafGreen, and Sapphire, but I had done SO well on them. D:

I really liked Gold. It was my first Pokemon game, then Blue, Yellow, and then the newer games.

I don't really like the newer games, either, but I play them. Did you know they're coming out with a Platinum Version?

Colliseum and Gale of Darkness were cool. I loved the 3-D Espeon and Umbreon!

i cant stand any of them after fire red/leaf green. and ruby is pushing it. and even though i can play yellow anymore i could never get rid of the first pokemon game i ever got.
