Ok, I am currently inrolled in a Vet Tech class, at western career college, and I've been given an assignment on animal cruelty. I would like to know what you oppinions on animal cruelty are.

ANYTHING done to an animal that is anything but kind or with its best interest in mind should have a punishment fitting the crime. I don't think the laws are stong enough for most animal molesters. There is a case of pigmy goats being bought and then beheaded in a neighboring county from me - what possible reason could someone have to do that? The bodies are left to rot. Sadly this has occured more than once.

I would just like to know you thoughts on animal cruelty, because I have an assignment on that subject. And your oppinions would mean alot to me.

If you want a psychological opinion, I think that it's those with an ineriority complex that feel the need to beat animals. They either have no self control or patience to raise the dog in a proper manner. Or, going with the inferior complex, they feel so scared of being outdone by other people they take ti out on the dog with the mindset, "At least I'm better than you!"
Then you get some people who THINK they're doing a good deed by giving a dog a home, but then don't really bother to do much else but give it a place to stay. Neglaection counts as cruelty.
I dunno. There are tons of reasons for animal cruelty, but cruelty to an animal is wrong, no matter what.
