Ok, to start with, this is really basic, just post the name of any manga that is better than the anime it parallels.

Full Moon Wo Shagashite. It was my favorite manga series; but I was not particularly fond of the anime.

I mentioned in another thread that Fruits Basket is one of my favorite manga series, but I have to say, the anime just does not match up to how brilliant the manga is. The anime cuts out way too much of the plot, and two of the main characters completely (Rin (Horse) and Kureno (Rooster)), both of whom are incredibly important to the plot.
Not to mention, they cut out so much character development. =/
It was just a huge disappointment compared to the manga (which I completed after I finished watching the anime).
The anime itself is great and all, but if you really want to see the whole story, read the manga afterwards.
