The idea is a battle. Battle's will be based more on the SKILL involved with drawing the image. They'll be based on capturing the idea of the theme the best.
Battle's are a bit more promising than a weekly art contest because some people might feel detered from an art contest. Then again, we can totally do that.
Battle's would happen between two people. The subjects can vary, they can range from taking a picture if the two people involved own cameras and like using them. They can be something as simple as a three panel comic or just an image. Maybe even re-designing a character.
Battle's are focused on the theme.
Each Battle would be allotted a week time to finish the image. The Image DOES NOT need to be colored, while it can't be a messy sketch as long as it's inked or something it'll be acceptable. I say this because I know school is coming up so I know we don't all have the time to bust out some crazy s**t with colors. Extensions will be allowed but for good reasons only and a week max.
Both the participants would PM the Battlehost (probably ganna be me) the pictures then at the end of the week or whenever, I might make battles longer, I'll edit the first post to have both images and create a new poll.
Voting would work by there being TWO judges: A battlehost and someone else, and then the general public. The public would get one vote which would take place within 24 hours after I edited the topic or the next time I check it after 24 hours. Basically who ever gets the most out of three wins. OR I'll just let the public decide. I dunno.
If you fail to complete a battle you wont be allowed to battle for a month. This way people who want to battle can battle people who will battle.
The winner of the battle will get a gold prize or a small weekly prize. I dunno, I'll be funding it all.
If this does happen then I'll be the judge.
WEEKLY CONTESTS
This is another idea really popular. There would be a mini contest each week. The themes will vary, like battles these should be judged on who captured the themes better. So if it's something like "MOST DETAILED TOE EVER." If there's ten toes with nails but then there's another toe with so much detail it looks like a god damn picture, obviously the one with the most detail wins. That's the contest.
Weekly contests would work differently. WHO EVER WINS gets to make the next weekly contest. They would judge and decide the winner and then that person would make the next one.
If someone fails to make a weekly contest within a few days then I guess one of the mods will make a new one.
Remember, these are both for fun. Just a cute little thing you can draw.
Even with battles if you just had an idea and want to show it off you can draw and post it for the rest to see. So yeah. :3
